The fate of the Rejected Alpha

27. Mates, part 7.

HUNTING FOR THE FIRST TIME

Sasha couldn’t sleep. In her mind she wondered what their relationship would be like if they had consummated the union? Would Occisor treat her better? Would he be affectionate, loving, devoted to her? These are questions she has no answer for.

Even though she didn’t sleep, she doesn’t have the courage to see if he’s still asleep. The possibility of him going back on his word is big, after all, she refused him. Will he be cold to me again? Her heart is sad, she does not want to go back to being like they were on her first days there.

Occisor can feel sadness coming from his mate, even if he does not want to. He also didn’t sleep a wink during the stormy night. He sighs loudly, drawing Sasha’s attention as she shrinks into the sheets. Without saying a word, he gets up from the bed and leaves the bedroom. He walks to the bathroom and brushes his teeth.

Occisor has a cleaning process, especially with his own body. While many only bathe once a week, if he doesn’t have a mission he feels the need to take at least one shower a day and brush her teeth when he wakes up and when he goes to sleep, every day. After wiping the chalk dust from his teeth in the water, he goes back to his bedroom, walks to his basket, picks up a pair of cotton pants and a shirt of the same fabric, gets dressed and finally looks at Sasha.

“Are you going to hunt in your nightgown?” he asks and for some reason he finds the color on her white cheeks cute.

“Just a second.”

Sasha quickly gets up from the bed and goes to the basket, picks up a flowery dress and runs to the bathroom. She still feels very ashamed of her body, even though he has seen her naked twice. Despite the cold, their bodies have more resistance, they can stay up to eleven hours receiving the extreme cold keeping their body warm. But they’re in their human form.

After getting dressed, Sasha returns to the bedroom and Occisor has a dagger in his hand as he looks out the window.

“I’m ready,” she says, smiling.

The relief in the young woman’s heart was immense, knowing that he would keep his word made her happy. Occisor puts the knife on top of a small table next to his baskets and passes Sasha, leaving the bedroom. She follows him out of the base. He walks in silence for about thirty meters, until he arrives at the entrance of the white forest.

Occisor sits at the root of a large tree and Sasha looks at him unintentionally, but before she questions him, he begins the explanation.

“Wolves live in packs, just like Lycan’s do. And just like ordinary wolves, werewolves hunt in packs. Lycanthropic packs generally have about seven to twelve members. But I guess you already knew that after all.”

“I didn’t know, no one but Guila spoke to me, but she never explained to me how things work. All I knew was that Guila was obliged to give herself to other males besides her mate. But she was the only one in charge of cleaning, and also the last one to eat. Or lick the remains.”

Occisor sighs, each day discovering something new coming from his mate, even when he doesn’t question her.

“Anyway, the hierarchy in common wolf packs is pretty much the same as that of lycanthropes. The difference is, wolves don’t have a boss above all bosses. But let’s focus on the functioning of a pack. The alpha is who makes the decisions, he decides what they will hunt and who will eat when he, his female and the cubs eat, usually comes the betas and for the omegas only the rectum.”Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

“By the order you’re telling me, I should be the third to eat. But because of my stains… All I got was contempt. I think what they were trying to do was kill me,” she says sadly.

“Don’t lose focus, Sasha!” Occisor complains, not trying to be rude, just so she doesn’t get lost in her sad thoughts and memories. He hates feeling her sadness.

Sasha smiles, catching Occisor by surprise, this is the first time he’s called her by her name and not by any female-friendly synonym.

“Without interruption, at the time of the hunt, the alpha searches for the herds and when they notice the presence of the predator they start to run and the oldest and sickest are left behind, and they are the dinner. In the Lycan breed the difference being extremely large and countless times stronger, they do not expect the easiest prey to fall behind, the hunting of the Lycan is mostly by the leading couple of the herd.”

Sasha sits at the same root as Occisor, she has her full attention on him, and Occisor upon realizing this feels his ergo grow, since he was a child he loves to be right and to people to listen to his knowledge.

“Have you heard about the lone wolves?”

Sasha shakes her head, and Occisor smiles inside. He loves the feeling of knowing more than others and that was something that hasn’t changed even after he grew up.

“In the packs of common wolves, even an alpha can become a lone wolf.”

“Why?”

“Because the lone wolf is known as a terrorist. The other members stop respecting them and start being afraid of them and this makes them abandon the current alpha. But if any other member demonstrates unnecessary violent characteristics, he is also abandoned by his pack and becomes a lone wolf. The only ones who haven’t seen it are the omegas, who are the weakest. On the other hand, in the werewolf race, the lone wolves are the omegas and cimex lunas.”

“I don’t get it, why are the weakest ones abandoned?”

“They’re not abandoned, they leave of their own free will. Since many years ago, this class is subjected to the worst things, all the service is on them from cleaning to entertainment. Humiliations are constant, females are used to relieve male hormones and are batting bags of the other females. The males are the servants who have to clean up the dirt and are also the punching bags, in a fight they use them not to hit the others harder. And the worst thing, which is a big burden in deciding to leave the pack, is that if the pack is in danger, they’re the scapegoats, they’re the sacrifices, what’s left behind.”

“That’s terrible.”

“But it is the choice they made.”

Sasha doesn’t respond, after all both he and she are also part of this race. And hunting them won’t make that fact any different.

But I stepped out of focus, heading back for the hunt. Since you don’t know how to hunt, and it’s your first time, you’ll experience is just like the one of a puppy, which is to. follow the example of ordinary wolves.”

“In this case, hunting the old and sick?”

“Yes,” he replies, smiling, but then stops.

It’s the first time Sasha sees him smiling. In just one day, he calls her by her name and lets out a smile, very beautiful in her opinion.

Occisor gets up and starts taking off his clothes, Sasha’s cheeks turn pink and she looks away, gets up and removes her dress by folding it and storing it in the same place that Occisor kept his clothes, under the three roots.

Occisor transforms and Sasha does the same, for him it is still difficult to accept that she is taller than him in her lupine form, even if it is only two centimeters. Occisor starts to run, Sasha slows down to follow him. In the race they made a few days ago through the woods, she won.

After running for only about four minutes, Occisor finds a herd of elk. Sasha watches with bright eyes, never before had she seen so much food in one place.

“What are we going to do now?” She mentally asks Occisor.

“Walk around so that they notice our presence,” he replies and starts to walk around the flock.

It doesn’t take ten seconds for them to notice the presence of the predator and without waiting another second the herd runs to escape the danger. An old moose can’t keep up with the speed of the younger ones, getting too far behind.

“Now,” Occisor says and starts to run, “Bite his neck very hard,” he orders before reaching the moose.

Occisor jumps into his claws at the back of the moose and Sasha does as she is told and bites very hard at its neck, it falls to the ground in agony and struggling with pain. Occisor releases it and sits down just to watch her kill her prey. Sasha increases the pressure on her bite, taking its life for good.

The howl released by Sasha’s throat is a thank you to the moon goddess, who welcomes it as a beautiful song with a smile. The magic is already happening.

Sasha wags her happy tail, it’s her first hunt.

“Since we have no pack, we will eat right here. Open its belly with your canines and then your feast is served,” he guides in her mind.

Sasha’s excitement can be felt perfectly by Occisor and it makes him excited as well. Sasha feels a little difficult when it comes to opening the animal’s belly, but in the third attempt she succeeds. The animal’s organs are exposed and the smell makes Sasha salivate.

“By order I can only eat after you.”

“Eat, Sasha.”

They never had this much to eat before each other, but also, they never hunted together, but he doesn’t mind letting her be the first to eat.

Sasha eats the animal’s liver, heart, and kidneys. Then she leaves and gives way to Occisor. This is the first time both of them are eating in their lupine forms. Occisor tries his best not to demonstrate how upset he is. He prefers a thousand times the meat being prepared with the spices. He is not interested in any organ, he just mouths the animal’s trough and removing the skin, he begins to eat the meat. Sasha delights back in the organs.
