Chapter 26 Start With Friends
Chapter 26 Start With Friends
The night was so quiet that there was even no sound of frogs singing. Outside the villa by the sea, there was only the sound of leaves rustled caused by the wind blowing the branches.
Leona tossed and turned in bed, unable to fall asleep because of the warning letter she had just received.
The second morning, she was awakened by a knock on the door.
"Leona, it's time for breakfast."
"Okay, I know."
Leona answered lazily.
After a simple wash, she went downstairs and saw Hudson was sitting quietly at the table.
"Morning!"
"Good morning!"
The two smiled at each other and pretended to be polite.
Today's breakfast was very simple, with bread and milk, so she ate it quickly. However, the usual delicacies were all gone now.
"Leona, are you used to it?" Seeing that Leona was sitting at the table in a daze, Hudson asked with concern.
"Oh, nothing. I'm not a picky eater." Although she said so, she guessed something in her heart.
The message she received yesterday kept flashing through her mind.
"Leona, you don't look good today. What happened?" Noticing the expression on her face, Hudson put down the things in his hands and walked to her. He touched her forehead and found that she didn't have a fever.
"Nothing. I'm fine." When she came back to her senses, Leona forced a smile at Hudson.
However, since Leona had said so, Hudson had to give up.
After breakfast, he watched Leona leaving silently, feeling very uncomfortable. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
"Leona was fine yesterday. Why is she out of her mind today?" Thinking of this, Hudson couldn't help feeling sour in his heart.
Today, she seemed to be very cold to him, as if she was treating her friend.
"Knock, knock, knock..."
There was another knock on the door.
At this time, Leona was sitting quietly on the sofa, and the TV in front of her was also dark.
"Leona. It's me, Hudson ." Hearing what Hudson said, Leona couldn't help but shrink back in fear.
"Leona, what's wrong with you?" Seeing that there was no sound in the room, Hudson became anxious.
"If you don't come out now, I will hit the door." After saying that, the door in front of him finally opened.
Hudson saw that Leona was standing in front of him in an ordinary Pajama, with her hair in a mess, just like what happened in the morning.
Seeing this, Hudson couldn't help touching the messy hair.
"Leona, what's wrong with you?" Hudson looked at her gently, his eyes full of worry.
However, she did not speak, but lowered her head with a serious expression.
"Hudson, thank you for taking care of me for so long. But I think I should go now."
"Why do you say that?" Hudson didn't expect that she would say such words to him. After getting along with her for several days, didn't she show her deep love? Why did she look like a stranger in a flash?
"We are just friends, aren't we?" Leona finally said this sentence.
What she didn't know was that this sentence had completely devastated Hudson's heart.
Hudson looked at her painfully, his hands hanging in the air, as if trying to grasp something.
"Are you serious?"
"Yes." Leona nodded calmly. It could be seen from her eyes that she was not joking.
"Okay, let's start from friends. Have a good rest." Then Hudson turned around and left. At that moment, he was exhausted physically and mentally.
