Chapter 49 Flew Two Meters Away

"Ah!" A scream rang out.

Ranita jumped in surprise and looked at Shannon, who had collided with a chair and fallen to the ground. She wondered if she had used too much force.

Why did Shannon fly two meters away?

It was so fake!

"Miss Murphy, I only touched your finger. You don't have to be so dramatic..." Ranita couldn't help but lose her temper. She was sure she only touched Shannon's finger! Besides, even if she had used more force, it wouldn't have been enough to push someone two meters away like Popeye.

Shannon was obviously doing this on purpose!

Suddenly, Ranita had a bad feeling in her heart. Shannon wouldn't do something like this for no reason...

Sure enough, the next second a familiar voice came coldly, "Ranita!"

Brendon's sharp black eyes were filled with danger and anger.

"Brendon..." Shannon sat on the ground looking up at the tall man with tears in her eyes and said, "My foot hurts so much! I can't stand up!"

Upon hearing this, Brendon immediately helped Shannon up and asked gently, "How are you?"

"It hurts so much! I think I need you to take me to the hospital!" With tears in her eyes, Shannon grabbed Brendon's fingers and glanced at Ranita before choking out, "Brendon, I just wanted to have a drink with Ranita as thanks for helping me today. I didn't expect this accident."

This trick again...

Ranita felt annoyed and couldn't help but explain to Brendon, "Brendon, it was actually Shannon who bumped into me first. I didn't expect this accident either."

At this moment, Ranita finally understood what was going on. Shannon had clearly set a trap for her and was just waiting for her to fall into it.

But in that situation, she couldn't let Shannon touch her stomach. What if something really happened... Ranita didn't even want to think about it.

"I didn't do anything! I just said that Ranita seemed to have gained weight, and then she suddenly got angry and pushed me away... Brendon, please believe me!" Shannon choked out the words, tears streaming down her face in a heart-wrenching display.

"Don't cry!" Brendon frowned and looked at Ranita with displeasure before handing Shannon a handkerchief to wipe away her tears. "Let's go to the hospital first."

"But I can't walk... Brendon, can you carry me?"

Without hesitation, Brendon bent down and picked up Shannon in his arms. His voice was cold as he turned towards Ranita. "Ranita! We'll talk later."

Talk about what? Was he going to force her to apologize again like last time?

"Brendon, I didn't mean to hurt Miss Murphy." Ranita hung her head low as she spoke in a hollow voice devoid of anger.

Ranita had always been good at managing emotions but right now she felt overwhelmed with pain. She thought getting divorced would bring peace into her life but she was wrong; trouble kept finding its way back as long as she stayed close with Brendon.

The private room was now empty.

Ranita, seemingly unaware of the lingering pain in her ankle, stood there in a daze for a long time.

Only when a sudden wave of abdominal pain hit her did she plop down into a chair, her face turning pale as she clutched her stomach.

"Ranita! What's wrong?"

When Dylan arrived, he saw Ranita lying motionless on the table and was scared out of his wits. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.

"Dylan... can you please take me home?" Ranita managed to squeeze out a sentence with difficulty.

She really couldn't hold on any longer.

Dylan was so angry that he couldn't speak. "How can you go home like this? I'll take you to the hospital!"

Ranita didn't have the strength to argue and was picked up by Dylan in a hurry and rushed to the hospital.
