Chapter 80

“Liv, you’ve gone too far. How dare you stand me up? If you don’t explain yourself clearly, I’ll stop

talking to you for a week, no, for a while month!”

It was the first time that Chelsea had been stood up by Olivia. Chelsea knew that something was wrong

immediately. In order to get to the bottom of it, she did not even hesitate to make a scene.

“Oh, I don’t want to cancel either, but there’s a troublesome person staying at my house. I don’t have a

choice!”

Olivia was already having a headache, and now that she was threatened by Chelsea, she had no

choice but to compromise and confess through gritted teeth.

“What? William is at your place? Didn’t you say that you don’t love him anymore? Tell me, why are you

getting back together?”

Chelsea, who was busy sewing a wedding dress, was so shocked that her heart pounded and she

almost pric ked her fingers.

Her bright and beautiful eyes were burning with an urge to gossip instantly.

She wanted to learn the details of everything but heard Olivia’s desperate voice answer immediately.

“I’m hanging up now.”

Olivia was speechless.

Getting back together?

Who was it that wanted to get back together?

Despite laying on the bed with his eyes closed and pretending to be asleep, William pric ked up his

ears silently to hear everything she said clearly.

Seeing that Olivia had even canceled plans with Chelsea for his sake, he couldn’t help but feel

indescribable joy in his

heart.

“Miss Clarke, I’m really not feeling well. My wound hurts. I don’t know if it’s gotten any worse. Can you

rebandage it for me?”

As Olivia lay back in her chair, her eyebrows were furrowed and her beautiful eyes were filled with

resentment. Just as she was thinking about how to hide as far away from him as possible, his deep

voice suddenly sounded in her ear.

A sense of weakness hid within the innate charm of his voice, drawing her closer.

Olivia wanted to continue to ignore him.

But with his towering height of nearly 6’3″, he was a remarkable presence no matter where he went.

There was no way for her to pretend not to see him.

“Mr. Kinsman, I’m an amateur when it comes to medical skills. If you really are uncomfortable, I advise

you to go to Jameson Smith. There shouldn’t be any injuries in this world that he can’t treat.

Olivia closed her eyes and slowly exhaled. She suppressed the surging anger in her heart and kindly

offered him a piece of advice.

Seeing that his plan was useless, William was both helpless and annoyed. He frowned slightly and

said, “He’s away on a business trip!”

“Business trip? Wasn’t he still around yesterday?” Olivia’s eyes shone with suspicion.

“Yes, he left this morning. There’s an international medical conference going on that he had to hurry to

attend. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have disturbed you, Miss Clarke.”

William continued to make up stories and successfully made Jameson into an ungrateful person who

only cared about his career and would abandon his friends to advance it in any way.

“Really?” Olivia’s eyes were still full of suspicion, but there was a hint of relaxation in them compared to

before.

“Of course! If that brat hadn’t run so fast, I would’ve at least been unable to find someone to change the

dressing of my wound. Marshall is clumsy, and Luci is still at home…”

Seeing that Olivia’s heart seemed to have somewhat softened, William was so happy that he was

struggling to keep a straight face.

He told one lie after another, which made Olivia dizzy.

made space next to her with a frown.

Naturally, William wasted no time sitting down. His well-defined fingers raised immediately to unbutton

his shirt.

Seeing that he looked so weak and was about to lean against her, Olivia dodged out of the way and

turned to get the first aid kit hurriedly.

Seeing this, William was in no rush. In fact, he was in a good mood. He lay still on the chair and waited

After all, there were only the two of them in Maple Villas now. It would be more fun to take it slowly.

At this thought, he was so happy that even his eyebrows coc ked a smile.

But in just a second, his dream was shattered to pieces by a sudden ring at the door.

“Who on earth is so bold as to come and seek death at a time like this?”

William’s eyebrows furrowed instantly. His deep eyes, which could make all living things waver, were

filled with coldness.

At the sound of the doorbell, Olivia threw down the first aid kit and rushed to open the door as if it was

her savior.

Outside, Marshall stood in fear with a bag of clothes in one hand. He was holding Ezra’s hand with the

other, and his palms couldn’t help but sweat every now and then.

“Miss Clarke, can I stay here for a few days? If Daddy is gone, I’ll miss him very much!”

When Olivia opened the door, she felt someone grab the legs of her pants suddenly even before she

could see who it was.

Ezra lay at Olivia’s feet with tears welling up in his eyes.

Anyone who saw his aggrieved and helpless look would feel sorry for him.

But no one saw his chubby little fingers quickly tapping in Morse code on Olivia’s calf.

“Mom, don’t be afraid! I’ll protect you!

“I will never let my scu mbag father bully you!

“Hurry up

and take me in! It is so cold on the floor!”

Olivia threw him a helpless look as she uncoded the secret messages he was sending. But eventually,

she bent down to pick up the little boy.

“Daddy! Why aren’t you dressed?

“Put your clothes on! Otherwise, you’ll get sick!

“If Daddy gets sick, Luci will be distressed!”

As soon as he entered the house, Ezra, who had sharp eyes, stared at William, who had his shirt open,

and exclaimed!

Breaking free from his mother’s embrace reluctantly, he climbed onto the sofa with difficulty. He gave

William no room to refuse and did not stop until all the buttons of William’s shirt were tightly fastened.

He wished he could sew his shirt shut for good!

“Luci!”

Staring at his son, who had suddenly appeared, William gritted his teeth in anger. However, he did not

say anything harsh in the end.

He turned and vented all his anger at Marshall instead. “Why are you here?”

William stared daggers at Marshall. His eyes were filled with rage as if he wanted to chop Marshall into

a million pieces.

“Mr. Kinsman, young Mr. Kinsman said that he misses you. Also… here are your clothes!”

Marshall’s face was pale, and his tongue seemed to be tied. He couldn’t speak without stammering.

“Daddy, don’t blame Mr. Foster. I insisted on coming!

“I missed Daddy! I want to stay with Daddy all the time!”

Seeing how Marshall shook in fear, Ezra was both angry at his cowardice and sorry for his misfortune.

He spoke up hurriedly to save him.

“Luci, get up!

“What’s going on? Why are you crying so much now?”

William looked down at his son, who was tugging at his pants and wiping away his tears and sn ot. His

brows were furrowed

tightly as he had nowhere to vent his anger.

“He’s still small. Why are you yelling at him?”

Seeing that William was about to lose his temper at Ezra, Olivia pretended to be angry and

complained.

When she bent down to pick Ezra up, she quickly tapped on his back in Morse code.

“Well done!”
