Aurelia choked back a laugh, playfully pinching William’s chubby cheeks standing before her.
"You're not from a single-parent household. Arnold and Leopold are blood brothers, and we're all one
big happy family."

just refusing to regard Leopold as his father.
William stuck out his tongue and made a face, "How about this? Let's have a get-together like this
every week. Mommy can bring Kane, and Aunt Lisa can tag Nova along. That way, neither Nova nor I
will feel like we're the pitiful kids from single-parent homes."
Aurelia chuckled, "Of course, we can do that."
William turned to Lisa with hopeful eyes, "Aunt Lisa, is that okay?"
"Sure, as long as your dad's good with it." Lisa glanced at Arnold tentatively.
Not wanting to let William down, Arnold reluctantly nodded.
"As long as William and Nova are happy, I'm good."
Nova seemed to catch on to the conversation, clapping her chubby little hands and giggling with
delight.
The DNA test results for Raines and Skyler were in. The report confirmed a biological relationship
between the two, but they were not identical twins.
"Could we have been mistaken? Is he really Raines and not Geoffrey?"
Leopold's long fingers tapped on the desktop thoughtfully, "It's possible that Geoffrey and Skyler aren't
identical twins after all."
Aurelia was taken aback, "Fraternal twins? He claimed he and Skyler were spitting images of each

Leopold stroked his chin, his deep eyes glimmering in the light.
"Looks like I need to run another DNA test." He said.
"With whom?" Aurelia was quick on the uptake. Of course, it would be with Tanya.
Whether they were identical or fraternal twins, as long as there was a biological link with Tanya, it
would prove he wasn't Raines.
In the afternoon, Skyler dropped by.
Aurelia had prepared his and the kids' favorite pies.
She squeezed a pitcher of fresh orange juice, and they enjoyed the pies with the tangy drink, utterly
delighted.
"Skyler, have you ever considered that Geoffrey might not be your identical twin brother?"
Skyler nodded. "I've thought about it. Sometimes I feel like he isn't my brother at all, maybe an adopted
cousin or something."

If Tanya had done this, she must have been inspired by some pulp fiction. But that made Geoffrey's
story somewhat tragic.
"The DNA report shows you're related to Raines, but not identical twins. Either we're being paranoid
and the guy who came back is really Raines, or Geoffrey and you aren't from the same egg."
She added, "But they could still be fraternal twins."
Skyler blinked, "Angel, why is the Stirling family tree such a tangled mess? Fredric, Raines, Arnold,
Leopold, then there's me and Geoffrey, and each of us born to different mothers. All my siblings in the
Heninger family are from the same mom."
Aurelia leaned in, whispering conspiratorially, "It’s all because Chad was a bit of a womanizer."
Skyler heaved a sigh, "Well, at least my dad's a good man. I can't stand womanizers."
Leaning in, Aurelia lowered her voice to a conspiratorial whisper, "It’s all due to Chad's reputation as a
womanizer."
Skyler grinned, saying, "I'm not bad either. I'm the good kid, always well-behaved and obedient."
