Chapter 15
“We are going somewhere tomorrow evening,” Jason declared after another round of sex, which ended up on his King-size bed.
“Where?” I asked while facing him on the bed.
“Wait and see, and your bag is in the closet.”
“Okay, but where are we going tomorrow evening?”
“Wait and see,” he repeated.
“I’m asking because I have no clothes here with me.”
“I ordered some for you. They are in the closet,” he answered cockily before shifting closer to me.
“How come you know my size?”
“You asked too many questions,” he replied, giving me a peck on my forehead.
“Are you doing that to shut me up?” I asked while looking him straight in the eye.
“Is it working?”
“No,” I lied.
“Do you want me to try again?”
“No, and less I forget, are you always alone in this house?”
“Yeah, most times.”
“And the other few times?”
“With friends”
“You have friends?” I asked unbelievably.
“Yeah. What do you expect?”
“I can’t believe that there are people out there that can cope with you.”
“Why won’t they cope with me? I’m handsome. I’m nice. I’m rich. I’m hot,” he stated with a full-blown ego.
“And you’re an egomaniac,” I added.
“Yes, I am when it comes to you.”
“You think that is going to work on me?”
“Tell me it is not,” he said, pulling me on top of him for another round.

“This can’t be real.” I said unbelievably while going through the clothes Jason talked about last night, “This can’t be happening. Jason! Jason!” I called
“Yes,” he replied from the bedroom. “What is wrong, Lexi?” He asked worriedly before joining me in the closet.
“Where are the clothes you talked about last night?”
“Right in front of your eyes.”
“Where?”
“In front of you, Lexi.”
“I see nothing here but some childish pinky clothes.”
“They are exactly what I got you. Choose one and let it start going,” he said as if everything were fine.
“Choose one from what? This? How do you expect me to wear this type of color? It’s not my thing! I told you it’s not my thing!”
“You told me it’s your favorite color.”
“We don’t always have everything we want in life.”
“You can have anything and everything as long as you are with me.”
“You don’t understand. I can’t put this on. I’m sorry. I can wait until you come back or go back home.”
“Lexi, try it on first.”
“I can’t”
“You can, if you want to. You’re beautiful and sexy, and I’m sure they are going to look good on you. I bought them for you. They are all yours,” he said calmly.
“You don’t understand. I’m still not over what happened during my prom.”
“Forget about that. Forget about the past. What matters is the present and the future. Try them on and let’s see if they wouldn’t look good on you.”
I later decided to wear a cocktail pink dress, which Jason couldn’t get enough of.
“How long is the drive?” I asked on our way to the garage.
“Twenty-five to thirty minutes,” he replied, did a double take, and pushed me to a wall. “I would have taken you back to my bed, pulled this gown up, and fucked you till tomorrow if this wasn’t important,” he said, giving me a soft kiss on the lips before releasing me.
“How important is it? Is it a business meeting?”
“You asked too many questions.”
We were ten minutes away from our destination when Jason’s phone started ringing.
“Hello,” Jason said, but I couldn’t hear anything from the other side.
“I’m on my way.”
“In few”
“Okay”
“Bye,” and then he hung up.
We pulled up in front of a very beautiful building, and I stood on a spot to take in how beautiful the house was while Jason handed his car key to a chauffeur.
“It’s beautiful, right?” Jason asked, taking me back to reality.
“Yeah. Very,” I replied. “Do one of your friends live here?”
“No”
“Is the house yours?”
“No, my parents,” he replied.
“Wait! What!? You brought me to your parents house!? For what!?”
“Act as professionally as possible,” he said, ignoring my questions. “They are waiting for us inside. And mind you, I do the talking.”This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Stop acting like my boss right now. I didn’t sign up for this,” I snapped.
“Explain to me what you signed up for, Miss Tyler.”
“I’m sure I didn’t sign up for this, Mr. Stokes.”
“Stop the drama, Lexi; they are waiting for us inside.”
I acted like an obedient dog and followed him with no further complaints.
“Oh, sweetie,” a slim, short woman said with a smiling face while rushing to hug Jason at the entrance, with an older and taller version of Jason on her trail. “How have you been?”
“Mom, I’m fine,” Jason replied while trying to free himself from her tight hug. “Mom, this is Lexi Tyler, my new secretary,” he introduced, diverting everyone’s attention to me, and Jason’s mom’s expression changed from the lively one to a deadly one, followed by his father’s curious expression.
“Good evening,” I said as professionally as I could in that situation.
“What is your secretary doing here?” His mom asked with a very strong, commanding tone.
“What is the big deal about coming with her to your birthday?” Jason joked, went past his parents, and motioned for me to follow him, which I did instantly.
“Jason! It’s been a long time since we’ve last seen each other,” a beautiful young lady said as she came out of nowhere and threw herself at Jason.
“Oh! You caught me off guard, Sofia,” Jason said as he tried to free himself from her hug, which became impossible since Sofia wasn’t letting go.
“Of course, I caught you off guard. I love catching you off guard,” Sofia joked, laughing at her own joke drunkenly.
“Have you been drinking?” Jason asked
“Yeah. I’ve been darling, but I’m still thirsty because the only thing that can satisfy me is down here,” she said, and she started moving her hand seductively to his dick.
“This is enough,” I told myself, and I started tiptoeing out of their view when Jason called my name.
“Lexi!”
I did a u-turn and made sure to keep my eyes down before answering.
“Yes”
“Who is she?” Sofia asked drunkenly, “Is she one of the maids?”
“No. She is Lexi Tyler, my new secretary.”
“What is your secretary doing here? This celebration is for the family only.”
“That means you aren’t supposed to be here, Sofia, because we aren’t related,” Jason replied before motioning for me to follow him to the dining room, where his parents were already seated.
I sat beside Jason and prayed for the ground to just open and swallow me because of the looks Jason’s mom and Sofia gave me from the other side of the table.
“What is your father’s name?” Mr. Adrian Stokes, Jason’s dad, asked me all of a sudden.
“Mr…” I wanted to reply, but when I saw Jason’s eyes, I kept quiet.
“Tyler,” Jason replied.
“What is he doing for a living?”
“He is late,” Jason replied.
Mr. Adrian shook his head as if he were digesting the information and focused his attention on Jason.
“Since when have you been working for Jason?”
“Three weeks,” Jason replied instantly, and Mr. Adrian once again shook his head in understanding.
“Sweetie,” Jason’s mom called when we were almost through with our food. “Sofia has some business proposals for you, so I think you should stay over to hear her out since she isn’t minding to spend the night with us. Or do you care about spending the night here with us?” His mom asked Sofia with a lovely smile.
“I don’t,” she replied with a flirtatious look in Jason’s direction.
“She should make an appointment with my secretary,” Jason replied without looking up from his food, and that wiped away the flirtatious look on her face.
“Jason! Try to be reasonable. Why should she be making an appointment with your secretary when you can listen to her tonight?” his mother said.
“Mom, it’s a business proposal, and business proposals are meant to be handled in the office.”
“Jason!” His mom called.
“Mom, stop it.”
“Jason, try and hear me out,” Sofia cajoled coquettishly.
“I will, Sofia; all you have to do is make an appointment with my secretary.”
“Are you doing this because of this thing?” his mom said, losing her temper. “How do you expect me to take in this dirty bag? Gold digger!”
“Mom! Enough! Annette! Get me my car,” Jason said angrily and got up. “Happy birthday to you once more,” he added before dropping a wrapped gift that was inside his suit inner pocket on the dining table and motioning for me to follow me.
We had hardly taken eight steps when his father’s voice stopped us.
“Jason! Let me see you in my study.”
“Okay, dad,” he said before whispering to me, “I will be back soon; wait for me in the car,” and with that, he followed his father.
