The CEO Is Obsessed With Me

Chapter Twelve; She’s Mine

As I mounted the stage, I tried my best to contain my tears. Mrs. Juniper watched me from where she sat, a proud grin on her face as she gave me a thumbs up, and I humbly acknowledged her with a small nod of my head.

The CEO turned to me, and a delighted giggle slipped from my lips, a pure innocent sound of happiness that seemed to take him by surprise. It lasted only for a few seconds, and I was too overjoyed to register this subtle reaction. The CEO’s expression was unreadable as he reached out for a handshake before handing me the award, and I could no longer sense the anger that once raged in his eyes.

I knew it was a basic formality, but as I shook his hand, I felt an unfamiliar emotion swirl in my chest.

His hand felt smooth and firm against mine, but then a flash of how they felt in my hair replayed in my head. In that split moment, I jerked away from his hold like I had touched hot coal, the memory of his touch scalding me.

No one else but him seemed to notice my odd reaction, and if he was offended, he didn’t show it.

The host gave way for me to give my appreciation speech, and as I took the mic, I had nothing else to say but thank you. I thanked my team for their support, I thanked the establishment for giving me this opportunity, and lastly, I thanked the CEO for recognizing my talent.

I didn’t look his way, but I knew he was staring intently at me.

After receiving the award, the crowd gave another round of applause, and as I turned to make my way back to my seat, a shiver ran up my spine. I felt his palm ghost over the small of my back. It was a simple gesture, but it made my heart race ten times faster.

My steps slowed to a stop as the CEO leaned in ever so slightly, a charming smile brimming his features as he kept his attention on the media. He posed for a picture with me for formalities, but under the chaos of the numerous flashing cameras, he held me firmly in place, and I gulped my spit.

I played along, mirroring his expression as my grip on my award unconsciously tightened.

What’s he up to now?

“Follow me.” Was all he said, and I sucked in a sharp breath as he gave his final wave to the media, his touch fading away as he turned briskly on his heels.

He had disappeared through a secluded entrance that was guarded by two hefty guards, the distinguishable red velvet robe that acted as a barrier between them told me it was a place meant for VVIPs.

I glanced towards where my friends waited, where Caspian eagerly waited for me and I was torn.

I couldn’t refuse the CEO, but deep down, I knew the real reason I followed him wasn’t just because I was obligated to, but rather because of something I had yet to discover.

Something that seemed to override every logical sense of reasoning within me.

My curiosity was at its peak, and as I approached the entrance of the room, the guards wordlessly let me pass through. I was surprised that they didn’t ask for any identification, and my surprise only increased when I entered the room.

The VVIP lounge exuded opulence at every turn, a lavish retreat reserved for the elite few. The room was bathed in soft, golden light, emanating from ornate chandeliers that hung from the high ceiling, casting a warm glow over plush velvet furnishings.

The walls were adorned with exquisite artwork, expensive paintings from renowned artists adding to the ambiance of sophistication. Rich, dark wood paneling contrasted elegantly with the soft, cream-colored walls, creating a sense of timeless luxury.

A grand mahogany bar stood in one corner, manned by impeccably dressed bartenders who expertly crafted cocktails using only the finest spirits and ingredients. Crystal decanters filled with top-shelf liquors sparkled under the ambient lighting, making me wonder about their rich taste.

Every detail in the lounge spoke of wealth and exclusivity, creating an atmosphere of indulgence and refinement that was reserved for those at the pinnacle of the fashion world. As I stepped further into the room, I couldn’t help but feel awestruck by the sheer extravagance that surrounded me, a world apart from the gala’s bustling crowds and noise.

“Don’t gawk like a peasant.”

I jolted in my spot as the CEO’s velvet voice reached my ears, my body stiffening at his overwhelming presence as he stood behind me. “You’ve earned the right to be here,” he adds, and I look down at my award and realize he’s right.

I really wanted to celebrate with my colleagues, but it was a great opportunity to mingle among the top men and women in fashion.

But was that really the only reason he called me here?

“Is that the only reason you called me here sir?” I blurted out the question before I could stop myself, and the CEO stepped forward, his brows arched as his lips curled into a hint of a smirk.

“Why else would you be here?” He countered, and my cheeks flushed in embarrassment as his gaze lowered to my cleavage. “Were you expecting something else?” his tone was cold, and his heterochromatic eyes gave nothing away as they ran over my body from head to toe.

Then I realized I had really expected something more, and I mentally scolded myself for the sinful thoughts that had roamed in my mind at that moment.

I didn’t understand why I was so… disappointed.

The CEO regarded me in silence as he turned away, and with him not being here, I suddenly felt suffocated by the atmosphere of the lounge.Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.

I hurriedly caught up to him because I didn’t know what else to do, and he doesn’t complain as I trail under his shadow, watching him converse with distinguished designers of our time.

Luke was absolutely stunning, and only he could manage to make a skirt look so damn good.

The CEO commanded attention in a refined yet daring ensemble. He wore a tailored charcoal blazer, the lapels adorned with intricate silver embroidery that hinted at his impeccable taste. Beneath, a crisp white shirt provided a stark contrast, while a daring velvet crimson skirt, expertly draped and cinched at the waist, added a bold and unexpected twist to his outfit. With each step, the skirt swirled around him, showcasing his confidence and individuality.

His shoulder-length hair was expertly gathered and styled into a sleek, low bun at the nape of his neck. Each strand was carefully smoothed back, accentuating the natural shine and texture of his locks. A few loose tendrils framed his face delicately, adding a touch of softness to the overall look.

Luke stood out effortlessly, a true embodiment of style and grace amidst the gala’s elite.

He was the man of the hour, and it showed in the way he portrayed himself. This whole event was organized to acknowledge his amazing achievements in the world of fashion; it had only been six years since he founded the company, but in such a short time, the establishment had grown into the most recognized brand in the world.

“Luke my boy!” A hearty roll of laughter pulled me from my train of thoughts, and I watched with slight shock as a man suddenly swung his arms over the CEO’s shoulder.

Everyone else had referred to him as Mr. Graham,

and neither went too close, but this man spoke so casually to him, making me wonder what kind of relationship they shared.

The man seemed to be in his mid-fifties, but he still retained his handsomeness to a degree. He was tall and lean, wearing a suit from the latest collection of the company’s brand. He wore thick glasses that shielded glossy eyes, the effects of the rounds of alcohol he must have consumed, and I judged from the diamond earrings dangling from his ears that he was also far up in terms of wealth.

The CEO rolled his eyes but didn’t pull away, and the man went forward to give an encouraging pat on his back.

“You’ve come so far. One wouldn’t believe one of the most rebellious students of Serenity would become such a fine businessman today.”

My ears perked, my brows furrowing in confusion at the man’s statement.

Serenity was a top-class fashion school. The same fashion school I attended.

The man adjusted his glasses on the bridge of his nose, his gaze shifting to my form, and his brows arched in interest.

“Who’s this beautiful lady?” He asked Luke, but his eyes remained on me. I didn’t like how he looked at me, and I felt an uncomfortable feeling pool in my stomach as his lips split into a lustful grin. “She’s yours for tonight boy?”

Anger boiled within me, my hands tightening into fists at my sides as he eyed me from head to toe, his gaze lingering on my breasts and thighs for a little too long.

“Excuse me” I was ready to spit fire, but the CEO cut me off.

“As a matter of fact.” He began, and my heart jumped in my chest as his arms snaked possessively around my waist, pulling me into his side.

“She’s mine.”
