Chapter 25
Amelia’s Point Of View.
“I still fucking love you, Amelia. I didn’t stop loving you,” Mike added.
“H-how about Chelsey? She loves you, Mike!” I said annoyed because I can’t believe that he still loved me after he did that, Chelsey obviously loves him, but why is Mike,
“And one more thing, you two are getting married, what are you talking about?” I added, frowning.
“Your dad forced me to marry her! The only reason I agreed is because your dad is too important to me, Amelia.” Mike explained. “But I didn’t love her, I don’t feel anything for Chelsey because I still love you,” he added.
“But I don’t love you anymore, I’ve moved on, Mike.” I looked him in the eyes. “I’ve forgotten you because of what you did, so I hope you forget your feelings for me and focus on Chelsey because even though I hate her a lot, I won’t let her marry a man who isn’t her able to love.”
“Do you think I can love her? She’s nowhere near you, Amelia! She’s not the girl I want to present to the lord!”
“In that case, you wouldn’t have accepted dad’s offer to marry him!” I raised my voice. “If you think that it’s not because you still love me that I’ll just let you into my life, that’s not the case, Mike. It’s different now, we’re not the same as before.”
“Why? I can cancel the wedding and we can go back to the beginning, Amelia-”
“It’s not possible!” I said annoyed and stood up from sitting before looking Mike in the eyes. “I have children and I don’t love you anymore, Mike. I can’t trust you anymore like I trusted you before. If that’s the kind of closure you’re asking for, it’s impossible for that to happen.”
“That’s also what I’m talking about! You already have children and you’re a single mom! I can be their father, I can take responsibility for your children, Amelia.”
I took a deep breath and held my senses because I couldn’t believe what he was saying. “I can take care of my children alone, I don’t need a father for them-”
“That’s impossible! I’m sure the day will come when your children will find a father, Amelia!”
“Stop it, Mike! You’re not the man I want to be the father of my children!” I shouted loudly at him and left, I quickly entered my car with clenched fists.
I would never have gone to that local musical instruments store again! It’s annoying because he only talked to me because of that?! I can’t believe I liked a guy like him!
Even if Chelsey annoys me too, she doesn’t deserve to be with a man who can’t love her, I know they are just as guilty as me but I hate Mike more!Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.
I went home angry.
Chase’s Point Of View.
“How are you? Did you get Amelia’s permission?” Celine asked seriously while we were eating dinner, this is when I thought of going home to the mansion so I could tell mom and dad that Amelia had agreed.
I nodded. “Yeah, and she has a condition that she must also be with them,” I answered.
“That’s good to hear, son! We can meet your family!” Mom said smiling causing me to frown, I saw Calix and Celine laughing softly, while dad was grinning at me.
“We’re not a family, mom,” I answered. “She doesn’t even recognize me as the father of my children,” I added.
“That’s really mad at you, you mistake her as a prostitute,” Celine said and I frowned especially because I didn’t know that she knew anything about that matter.
“She’s not a prostitute? I thought you got a prostitute pregnant, Chase?” dad asked.
I held my breath. “I thought she was a prostitute, dad. But the truth is she’s not.”
“If she’s not a prostitute then how did you get her pregnant?”
“I-it was a one night stand,” I said and I heard Celine sigh loudly. “Anyway, when will they visit here?” I added.
“We are busy this week, so maybe next week they will come here at night for dinner,” said mom and I nodded.
After eating I talked to Celine.
“How do you know that?” I asked her seriously.
“Which one? Do you think Amelia is a prostitute? And that you raped her?” she asked while crossing her arms.
“I didn’t rape her! I was drugged by my enemies that night and I sent a prostitute to my mansion, I don’t know how she got to my mansion but my butler brought her into my room,” I said “When I mistook her for a prostitute, I heard her tell me that she’s not a prostitute but because I was drugged I didn’t listen to her! I couldn’t control myself!” I added.
“Does she know that you were drugged that night?” Calix asked.
“I haven’t said it yet because our conversation always ends up in a fight when we see each other,” I said.
“She probably really hates you! That’s why you should just tell her that you were drugged that night, and you weren’t yourself that night,” said Celine. “She’s the victim here, Chase. Don’t forget that, lower your pride because it’s valid for her to be angry with you every time she sees you, I don’t know how and why she agreed to come here to the mansion. You also have sorry because what you did to her was no joke, man. You took something from her that can never be returned.”
