The Billionaire’s Maid Bride

Chapter 262

Chapter 262

At Jesse’s birthday bash, his parents from the Santos clan and a few relatives were there, along with his best buds.

After chowing down dinner and downing some booze, Daisy found her shoulder a comly place to lean on for Allison

She eyed Allison’s long and graceful neck, dressed in a beige velvet dress with a little V–neck and a simple necklace to go with it.

Daisy let out a belch and said, “Allison, why aren’t you wearing the necklace I got you on your birthday?”

Feeling a bit guilty, Allison replied, “Daisy, I can’t seem to find that necklace”

She reckoned it might have been left behind during her move. She had turned her room upside down but the agate necklace was nowhere to be found. She planned to swing by her old place in the next few days, to see if she could find it.

“Oh, you lost it? No worries, I’ll get you a new one.” Daisy said.

“No need to go through all that trouble.” Allison said.

“No biggie, you know. Our family business is all about jewelry, we have plenty of materials. I’ll get the factory to whip up a new one exactly like it for you.” Daisy said.

Allison excused herself to the restroom. Coming out, she bumped into a young bloke in a black shirt, reeking of booze.

She took a step back and said, “Sorry.”

She looked up, sidestepped a few tracks, then her gaze froze. She was staring at the man’s face, her voice started to quiver and she was suddenly at a loss for words.

As the man turned to go, she quickly caught up and grabbed his sleeve, “You…”

The man looked at Allison, “Can I help you, miss?”

The man’s voice was deep, clearly hammered. His gaze was a bit blurry, all he saw was a young woman.

Tears welled up in Allison’s eyes, “Ricky.”

“You’ve got the wrong guy.” The man frowned. He pushed Allison aside and staggered towards a private room.

Allison followed closely.

That face, did she really get it wrong? But that face, was exactly like Ricky’s in her memory.

Ricky had been gone for many years. How could the man in her memory appear out of the blue.

Feeling someone trailing him, the man turned around, seeing the teary–eyed woman. “Hey, what’s up with you?” He asked.

Allison bit her lip, looked at the face in front of her and burst into tears.

The man sobered up a bit, “Hey, I didn’t scare you, did I? Stop crying. I didn’t do anything to you, why are you crying? Don’t let people think I’m bullying you.”

Allison was overwhelmed, “What’s your name? Have you always lived here? Do you have an ID? Can I see it?” NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.

The man looked at Allison as if she were crazy, but Allison cried harder and harder, attracting puzzled looks from passers–by.

Nicholas felt a headache brewing, “I’m Nicholas, 25, been living in Northfield all my life. You want to see my ID? It’s in my room. You’re one weird woman, stop crying! Or people will think I am bullying women”

Nicholas led the way, Allison trailing behind. She didn’t want to cry, but she was too overwhelmed. This man looked so much like Ricky; they were like two peas in a pod. It was exactly Ricky’s face in her memory. The age was right too, Ricky would have been around 24 or 25 if he were still around.

Following Nicholas’s footsteps, they arrived at the door to his private room. Nicholas pushed open the door and walked in.

Inside the room, a few friends were knocking back drinks.

“Nick, I thought you had passed out in the restroom, took you long enough.” James Burke said to Nicholas.

Nicholas replied, “I was drunk, but a crazy woman woke me up.” He pointed to his head.

James looked up. What happened?”

Nicholas shook his head, “Just ran into a troublemaker on the way.”

One of the friends chuckled, “Who dared to mess with you, a woman? How’s she look?”

Nicholas laughed, recalling the delicate face, “Well, she’s not half bad”

His friend started teasing, “If she’s not bad, why not keep her?”

“What do you guys take me, Nicholas, for? Fall for every woman I see?” Nicholas stretched out his hand, “Lucian, it’s on your left, pass me my wallet.”

The man on the dark leather couch looked up, passed a wallet to Nicholas. He mumbled something, pulled out his ID from it, and headed out.
