Chapter 8
“She’s gonna be your future sister–in–law, show some respect, will you?” Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
Future sister–in–law?! Was her brother blind or what? Falling for such a two–faced woman!
Kamilla wanted to cool her brother down, but he was clearly distracted. Following his gaze, she spotted Jason outside the car, looking at the little maid with a love–struck face.
Man, her playboy brother caring so much about a maid, what was wrong with him?!
But Lucian… She thought about what just happened at the Flanagan’s. Even though her brother didn’t say anything, he was clearly pissed off at the end. Others might not have got it, but she knew, he was angry at the Flanagan’s for their tough attitude towards the little maid. She chuckled, “Bro, are you into the Flanagan’s little maid? If you’re worried about her getting fired, we could hire her.”
He smirked, his eyes mysteriously deep, “Why not?”
“Wait, what?” Kamilla was taken aback, “Bro, are you serious?”
She was just babbling, and her brother took it seriously?
Kamilla gulped, her eyes fixed on the woman outside the car window, trying to figure out what was so special about her that both her brothers were so… invested in her!
Meanwhile, Jason dragged Allison out of the Flanagan’s mansion.
She frowned, struggling to free herself from his grip, “Jason, let go of me.”
Jason paused, the anger still visible on his face. He asked perplexedly, “Why are you still putting up with the Flanagan’s? You can find a job as a maid anywhere, why take their crap!”
Allison bit her lip, her face even paler.
Jason realized he had crossed a line, his tone softened, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to disrespect you. I was just saying… I can help you
find a job, you…”
“Jason.” Allison managed a bitter smile, “I’m doing just fine here. Thanks for walking me home, but I’ve got stuff to do. Mr. Brummett, you should go.”
With that, she turned and went back into the Flanagan’s mansion.
Jason had been hanging around her a lot lately, so she knew he was into her, but she was well aware, regardless of whether she liked him or not, the gap in their social status was an insurmountable chasm.
As Jason was about to follow her, a harsh car horn sound rang in his ears.
He instinctively looked and saw Lucian in the driver’s seat of a black Bentley, looking at him with a chilly face, his eyes screaming a
warning…
