The Billionaire’s Ex-Wife (Her Ex-Husband’s Regret) Chapter 15

Chapter 15

Megan.

My legs shake as I walk towards the elevators of Redezvouz, an elegant, but quiet and discreet hotel located just a little outside the city. The nerves in my stomach are twisting and turning with each step. As soon as I got inside the elevator, I press P with shaking hands.

Are you sure you want to do this, Megan?

Deep inside me, a voice whispers that I should turn back. But then I look back and think about Cassie, and how elegant she looked wearing that baby pink Chanel suit and matching expensive handbag. For the first time, since we were kids, I feel so small compared to her!

Then the image of Kayden sitting quietly in his seat flashes inside my mind. He was staring at his ex-wife not with disgust or contempt, as I’d hoped. His expression was something else. Something different… something I haven’t seen before. It’s like a combination of awe, sadness and fascination

1 ball my hands into fists, and my resolve strengthens.

She’s already stolen Kayden from me once. I will not allow her to do it again!

Kayden is mine! And I will do everything, and I mean every damn thing to make sure he remains mine!

I open the door, using the keycard that was sent to me by mail.

One last chance to back out, Megan!

It’s that stupid voice again.

But as soon as I open the door, the sight that wreets me threw every reason out the window.

Hard muscles, six-pack abs, and a smile that could melt butter.

“Hello, sugar…”

Heat rushes through my body, and I feel a gush of liquid heat between my thighs.

I hate him. But my body also craves for him. He’s more than enough to fill the gap that Kayden leaves whenever he’s too busy to notice me. I hate that I can’t resist him.

Him. Myron Thompson… Kayden’s stepbrother.

“Can you put some clothes on?” I ask, closing the door behind me.

“There’s no need. You’ve seen it all before,” he replies with a smirk.

In a few strides, he’s standing a few inches away from me. I can feel the heat that radiates from his body. Without warning. he grabs my waist and starts nuzzling my neck.

“You smell good, as always, sugar,” he moans, nibbling at my skin

“Myron, please!” 1 plare both my hands against his chest, but I cannot find the courage to push him.

Chapter 15

“Please, what?” he asks with a smirk. He squeezes my butt cheeks and I can feel his rock-hard member pressing against my abdomen. “Please, stop? Or please… give me more?”

“I… I didn’t come here for this, I protest.

He chuckles before his lips find mine, giving me a ravishing kiss. Slowly, I melt in his arms. I can already feel my pussy weeping with excitement.

I don’t love him!

Maybe I even hate him. But damn! He can make me scream in bed.

He pushes me against the wall, nuzzling my neck as his fingers lift my skirt, finding my silk underwear.

“Myron. I told you, I need…”

His fingers trail down my thigh, making me shiver with desire. I can hardly contain my excitement, as I anticipate his fingers.

on my core.

“Fuck!” he curses as he touches my pussy, feeling its wetness. “You say no, but you’re already wet when I haven’t even touched you, sugar. Tell me, has my brother been ignoring you again?”

The mention of Kayden brings me back to my senses, reminding me of why I came here in the first place. I turn around and finally, I find the strength to push him away.

“He’s not ignoring me!” I snap. “Nothing has changed! We are still going to get married someday, and no one, not even you, can get in my way of getting what I want!”

Myron laughs, completely unconvinced.

“No one?” he asks in a mocking tone. Then why are you here to ask me to get rid of Cassie for you?”

My eyes widen in shock. Myron’s mouth curves into a crooked smile as he watches my expression.

“That’s right,” he says. “I already know what you’re going to ask me. I know that Cassie is back, and unlike before, she’s serious competition now. Who would have known that that helpless, naive girl was actually the granddaughter of one of the richest men in the country? Kayden got himself a real treasure, and he was too stupid to see it.”

Anger flares up inside me, and I am unable to stop myself from slapping Myron hard on the cheek. “Kayden never even looked at Cassie twice before!”

“But he’s looking at her intensely now, isn’t he?”

Again, I remember Kayden’s expression as he watches Cassie accept the King’s Legend challenge. Anger and jealousy start to consume me all over again.

“N-no. Kayden hated her.”

“Then why get rid of her?”

“Kayden owes me his life when I saved him from drowning when we were kids. Because of that, he promised that he would take care of me and marry me. He loves me.”

“Again, why get rid of Cassie? If you’re so sure about Kayden, then why do you need to eliminate her?”

Chapter 15

“Because…” I trail off.

“I’m only going to help you if I know what’s at stake here,” Myron insists. I’m going to ask you again. What are you hiding. Megan?”

I stare up at Myron, tears welling up

my

ures “Can… can you just trust me on i

this, Myron?”

“You have known me a long time, sugar. You know that I don’t trust an

I sigh in frustration. How can I trust him with this secret? How can I be sure that he won’t use that information to blackmail me or betray me?

“You are right. “I say in a weak voice. “I’ve known you a long time. And I know that you live to make sure Kayden will be miserable for the rest of his life. Your ultimate goal is to make him suffer.”

“It’s no secret that there’s no love lost between Kayden and myself.” He nods. “Still, you haven’t answered any of my questions.”

“Let’s just say that if Kayden finds out what I’m hiding, he just might leave me and chase after Cassie,” I murmur.

“Like I haven’t figured that out already.” Myr rolls his eyes.

“And if that happens…” I give him a threatening glance. “There will be a huge chance they get back together. And not only will he be happily married, he just might be the richest, most powerful man in the country.”

“What?” I watch with satisfaction as a a sense of panic crosses over Myron’s face.

“Well, isn’t that exactly the opposite of what you want to happen Am I right, Myron?”

He doesn’t answer.

Tm not as brainless as you think, Myron,” I say. “I know that you must have been thanking your lucky stars that Cassie ended up in Kayden’s hotel room that night they first met. Having your brother marry a total doormat will make you less of a loser in your parents’ eyes. And you seduced me because you want the satisfaction of fucking your brother’s girlfriend behind his

back

“Surprise, surprise, the world doesn’t revolve around him!” He sorts.

‘So, don’t ask questions. Just get rid of Cassie for me, and nothing has to change. I get what I want. You get what you want. Kayden does not even need to be aware of the fact that you have been causing him misery all these years.”

He looks at me for a long moment before he nods. “Fine. I’ll do it. Then he pulls me back into his arms. “I don’t accept cash for payment. Only in kind.” His face descends on mine as he starts to ravish my body.

An hour later, I exit the suite with crumpled clothes and disheveled hair. I know I should feel guilty about cheating on Kayden. But I know

that this is necessary.

I will do everything to keep Kayden.

Suddenly, the image of a young boy floods my mind. He’s struggling in the water, trying to keep himself from sinking

“Megan!” a young girl with strawberry blond hair called me. “We have to help him!”

Panic gripped my insides, and I could feel myself unable to move.

Chapter 15

“Megan!” the girl called again.

“… can’t… I can… sw-swim…” I stammered. “Besides, we don’t even know him. He’s not worth risking our lives for.”

But without warning, the little girl dove into the water. “No!” I screamed. But it was already too late. The boy sank into the water, and I stood frozen as I watched as my little stepsister vanished beneath the surface.
