CHAPTER 10
CHAPTER 10
When he noticed Daniella's position in the bed's centre, he cursed. How was she able to sleep quietly with her arms and legs spread wide apart to the point of occupying the entire bed? The woman made no attempt to change into something more suitable for sleeping, such as pyjamas or nighties. She went to bed wearing the same flowered gown she wore when he came this morning. It's revolting! And she snored as well! His gaze then locked on something dark...in her underarms. He moved away, closing his eyes. He'd never share a bed with Daniella. No surprise she needed to go a great length to find someone like him. However, she might purchase underarm whitening with the money she has in her bank account, or perhaps she was simply not fond of grooming herself. Marcus was accustomed to sleeping nude, but he covered himself completely tonight. He would never let his wife see his nude figure again in order to avoid being her target once more.
Meanwhile, Daniella tittered as she observed Marcus's eyes narrowing in response to the sight of her black underarms. He must have been one of those who found it repulsive. However, he was justified in hinting that he would sleep with her on her! The audacity! It was simple to apply black eye shadow to her underarm, and she made certain it was visible to him. The man was amusing to see as he attempted to conceal his endearing figure from her eyes. Daniella shifted her position before to ceasing to snore.
She was scheduled to discuss it tomorrow, but she just couldn't wait. She was eager to see whether he had a wife waiting for him... Then their marriage would be null and invalid.
"Are you still awake, Marcus?"
He found it difficult to sleep in a room with a lady around. Daniella was still a woman...and his wife, despite her black underarms and seldom washing. "Yes, but why?" he said.
When Daniella heard him talk, she rose from her bed and approached him. "I'm simply curious as to whether you have a wife," she inquired.
"Of course," he said, but wondered why she felt the need to approach him in order to ask her foolish question. Was she unaware that they got married the previous morning?
When she heard his response, a fresh hope rose within her heart. Yes! She was relieved she hadn't waited until the next day to approach him. "In such case, we are not required to annul our marriage." As she stated.
"How come not?" He sat up straight when she discussed postponing the annulment she mentioned following the marriage.
"You said that you have a wife; thus, our marriage was null and void from the start!" Her voice was excited as she envisioned Paloma's response upon hearing it.
"It is you...stupid!" He rolled his eyelids and resumed his sleeping posture.
Daniella felt disappointed because she had become thrilled for no reason! "It's inconvenient to sleep on the sofa," she said, and was ready to offer him the guest room adjacent to hers, but the man was not interested in hearing it.
"I'm OK." He responded and motioned with his hand for them to leave him alone.
Daniella brought her feet back to the bed with a nod. She was not afraid of Marcus since she recognized him as a decent man. No, she should put him out of her mind! She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
However, Marcus remained there in her dreams even when she slept. Or perhaps she should refer to it as a nightmare! She massaged her eyes and regarded the timepiece. It was around five a.m. She got enough sleep if she counted the hours, but why was she still tired?
She rose from bed and discovered that the sofa was vacant. Marcus, where are you? She listened to see whether he was in the bathroom but heard nothing. It was far too quiet. Or perhaps he discovered a method to get away from her. That is admirable, and she wished him success in his quest.
Daniella down the stairs and made her way to the kitchen to cook breakfast. She was in the mood for champorado, a type of chocolate porridge. Glutinous rice, chocolate bars, milk, and sugar were the primary components of Champorado. She was on her way to the kitchen when she detected the aroma of garlic. She continued walking and there was her spouse in front of the stove. She approached him and promptly extinguished the flames.
"Are you blind to the fact that I'm cooking?" Marcus was enraged when she abruptly shut off the fire while he was in the midst of making breakfast. His wife didn't prepare anything last night and forced him to eat simply bread, and he was already famished. He was sauting garlic and onions in a pan in preparation for the corned beef omelet he desired. Rice had already been cooked in the rice cooker, and a cup of black coffee was also prepared.
"I despise anything garlicky. If you truly want that corned beef, simply heat it on the stovetop; it will be ready to eat." She informed him. Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
"You're exaggerating, Dani. If you're not a fan of the stench, then leave. Return to your room and catch up on some sleep." He responded, but quickly regretted what he had said. The woman must have come to the kitchen for the same reason she did: she was hungry and pregnant. When Marcus approached Daniella and took her to the dining table, she refused to return to her room and began preparing the ingredients for her porridge.
"Hey, asshole, put me down!"
He sat her in one of the dining chairs and informed her that she would have to wait while he made their meal. "Do not fear; I am capable of preparing the porridge!" He returned to the stove and
switched it on when the woman nodded.
As a result, she disliked the smell of garlic, and glowered her eyes at him.
Marcus grinned as an idea flashed across his mind. It was the first time he became so enamored with sauting the garlic and onions that he overdone the spices and had to discard them. He then peeled another onion and garlic head. He was so taken with teasing the woman with the garlic fragrance that he was taken aback when Daniella dashed to the restroom and vomited up.
"Are you all right?" While the woman continued to retch with her saliva, he felt horrible for her. He retrieved a cup from the cupboard, filled it with hot water, and handed it to Daniella. "Here, have a drink." He stated as he softly rubbed her back while she remained bowed on the toilet.
"Thank you," she said, happy for the hot water but knowing that Marcus had prepared another combination of spices specifically to punish her. She was going to make him pay...soon.
"I believe you'd be wise to take a bath now. Dani, you stink." He made light of her foul stench, but a shower would make her feel better and more refreshed. "Leave immediately while I prepare," he directed.
She rolled her eyes at him. If he disliked her odour, he could just cover his nose! "However, I am not scheduled to take a bath today. That will be next week, and I don't want to jeopardize my health over something as trivial as your dislike for my body odour." She responded, and she almost laughed out so loud upon seeing his reaction.
