Chapter 31
Georgia accompanied her to the airport and she was silent throughout the journey.
Carla glanced at her worriedly " Mom, are you okay? "
Georgia gave her a reassuring smile " Yes sweetheart, I'm okay. It's just that I'm missing you already " She laughed nervously
Carla nudged her lightly on the arm " Come on Mom, we're still seeing again, you're coming to the wedding, remember? "
Georgia nodded and smiled, but it didn't quite brightened her eyes " Yeah I will "
Carla returned her smile with a wide one and they didn't exchange much words after that until they got to the airport. Saying goodbye was harder than Carla thought as she fidgeted with her fingers when it was time to leave.

Getting over Davis was not as bad as she initially thought, Jenny mused as she dragged her grocery basket along with her. She had vowed not to give her heart to a guy after Davis or fell in love because it would only resulted into heartache. She was lost in thought and oblivious to her
environment that she didn't notice someone walking briskly in her direction. Davis... She never thought it would happen someday. For her, breakup was for weak people. She thought they loved each other enough to keep the relationship going. Heck, she had even thought of getting married to him when she was ready, not knowing the dickhead was two-timing her. That... that mother fucker! She would definitely make sure he regretted...
Her thoughts were rudely cut off as she bumped into something which made her yelped in pain because she had hit her head hard.
" Ouch! " She groaned, closing her eyes automatically and took a step backward, rubbing her sore head. She had bumped into something hard... and warm. It smelled nice too, she noticed. She frowned slightly, wondering what wall smelled nice these days. Besides, a wall wouldn't be naturally warm except someone had leaned against it recently. Opening her eyes, she looked up and found herself staring into a pair of ocean blue eyes, the most beautiful ones she had ever seen.
" Holy cow! " She gasped. The guy was damn gorgeous and sure followed the trend of men's outfit. He stood out among the crowd. She saw his mouth twitched in a smirk and he shoved the hands into his pockets which made him look more elegant. He looked oddly familiar though, had she seen him somewhere before? Was he a celebrity perhaps? She frowned, trying to figure out where she had seen him when he spoke.
" Take a picture, it would last longer milady " He drawled out and positioned himself, striking a more sexy pose.
Jenny finally regained her composure and she shook her head. Yeah, he was handsome but definitely arrogant.
She forced a laugh up her throat " Oh, you thought I was drooling over you? Hell no, I was imagining what your outfit would look like on my boyfriend " She tucked her hair behind her ear, proud of herself that she had managed burst his bubbles even if she was attracted to him.
Alex was so shocked that he found it difficult to get words out. Did she just say that she wasn't drooling over him?! Her boyfriend?! He scoffed, he didn't even know the lady so why had he felt offended and oddly disturbed when she talked about her boyfriend? He opened his mouth to put her in her place but the witty woman beat him to it.
" Ah, an apology will do " She blurted out, the sides of her eyes crinkled in a sweet smile but Alex knew better than to fall for it, he knew her smile wasn't genuine.
He raised his eyebrows " Do what? "
Her nostrils flared as she glared at him " You should apologize Mister, you bumped into me after all "
He scoffed " Mister?! Bumped into you? It should be the other way around, little lady. You, " He pointed a finger at her " Should apologize "
If looks could kill, he was sure he would be on the floor right now, coated in his own blood.
" Did... You... Just... call me a little lady? " She placed emphasis on her words threateningly, moving closer to him slowly.
Contrast to her height, she was a bold one, he thought as he found himself backing off. He started to panic, was she going to scratch his eyes out? Women, he muttered to himself. One could never know what's going through their minds. He found himself shaking his head in reply to her question. From NôvelDrama.Org.
" Aren't... Aren't you one? " He had never stuttered in all his twenty nine years on earth but heck, he just did. He had always been confident wherever he went but this woman threw away the confidence within the few minutes they met. Just... Who was she to make him lose his usual confidence? No woman had ever treated him that way before.
In reply to his question, she stomped her feet on the floor and almost poked her fingers in his eyes.
" I'm not a little lady, Mister, I'm a grown woman. I'm not really in a good mood today so I'll let you off, I won't let this go easily the next time, just pray there won't be a next time " She said quietly like a mother would to a tyranny son. He opened his mouth to talk back but she beat him to it again.
" Now scamper off, I've got better things to do " She said with a too sweet smile.
Alex looked so dumbfounded that he was speechless for a while. He didn't realize there were still crazy women out there until now. Just who was she to tell him off anyway? She had some guts, he would give her that. Did she know who he was? He doubted that, because she wouldn't speak this way to him if she knew. He opened his mouth again but she cut him off before he could get words out.
" Oh, you want me to save your face, right? I'll do that, okay? Just pray we don't cross paths again. Bye forever " She said with a sinister smile and tattled off.
" Do you know who I am? " He finally got out the words he wanted to say which the crazy lady didn't give him the chance to. If truth be told, she intrigued him and he liked it, surprisingly. He couldn't let her go easily like she suggested. He was going to find out more about her, he thought and chuckled to himself. Alex gave a nod to his bodyguard who stood nearby and he got the message, which was to follow the lady who practically harassed his boss and find out some information about her.
