The Art Of Revenge (Thalia Nash and Brandon)

Chapter 118

Chapter 118

Thalia’s Pov

I sat beside Brandon with Kendra’s towel in my hands crying. How or why June would do such a thing

to me kept hitting hard on me. I had treated her like family. Kendra loved her but she turned around and

spat on us.

A headache was coming on from my crying and thinking but what hurt the most was the fact that I

couldn’t do anything to find my baby. It was horror after horror for my baby, first, it was the liver problem

now kidnapping? When was she going to catch a break? When was she going to stop paying for my

sins? I kept asking myself.

I looked towards the window and noticed it was getting dark. Nestor had earlier informed me, he and

Josh were going to search for strip clubs that owned the masks that the strippers wore.

It was irritating that wh ores were having my baby, I could imagine their filthy hands on my baby. She

was past her medication time and she was probably hungry and crying. The thought made my stomach

turn, why were they punishing my little angel I cried out.

The bed moved and I looked over, Brandon was awake. I quickly got up, “thank g o d, you are okay, ” I

hugged him. I had thought he was going to go into a coma, like last time. He pointed to a glass of water

on the table and I quickly ran to it, helping him with a sip. “What… happened?”

“You collapsed in Josh’s apartment,” I replied. “We found you choking… Josh assisted you and placed © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

you on your sides.”

He spat the water out of his mouth in shock, I was also still in shock by that fact. Josh hated Brandon,

he ruined his life, we ruined his life but for some unknown reasons, he saved him. I didn’t even get a

chance to thank him, or maybe I ignored him because a thank you would not come out of my mouth.

“Where is Nestor?” he asked, trying to change the subject. He was uncomfortable too, I could tell from

his facial expressions.

“Brandon, it was not Josh, it was June our maid… you were right Brandon, you were right about her,” I

cried out.

He began shaking, I quickly grabbed the glass of water away from him. “Where is that b*tch! Please tell

me she is being interrogated?”

“No Brandon, she ran off the minute we went after Josh, she took the opportunity and ran,” I explained.

I watched his face as a wave of guilt washed over him. He began hitting himself in frustration. Brandon

hated making mistakes.

And I could only imagine how he was feeling. I quickly got on the bed and wrapped my arms around

him in a cuddling position. “Stop it sweetheart you are hurting yourself!” I yelled at him.

“No this is my fault, because of my s*upidity I allowed my baby’s kidnapper to run scot-free.”

“No no, I bumped into her when I finished dressing up, I let her take our little girl without difficulty,” I

took the blame.

We kept blaming ourselves as we lay on the bed in our misery. “Why are we not allowed to be happy?”

I asked him but he kept quiet and asked for his tablet. I quickly picked the tablet from the table and

handed it to him.

“I put a tracking device on her phone,” he said. My eyes popped up in excitement, it was no surprise

that he was tracking her. Brandon never trusted anyone. He turned it on and we could see the phone

beeping, “where is that? Where is she?”

He scratched his head in disappointment, “In the house, she left the s*upid phone in the house!” He

yelled and threw the tablet across the room.

“Ooh my G o d, she knew? How did she know?” I held my head in frustration.

A knock came at the door and Nestor walked in. I quickly ran to him, questioning if they found

something.

He nodded his head in refusal, “The masks do not match any known strip club, it’s like they designed

those masks specifically for the kidnapping,” he explained.

“What of the useless guards? They might be in it all the way?” Brandon asked.

“One is still at the police station while the other one is in hospital, he reacted to the pepper spray,” he

replied as he picked up the tablet. “And June’s family left the country two days ago.”

I began hyperventilating, I could not take it anymore, everything seemed to be heading for the worse.

“Thalia breathe in, breathe in, you have to breathe in for the sake of Kendra,” Nestor said and held my

hands. I began breathing in slowly as he handed me a paper bag. “Breath in that, it will help,” he

suggested. I grabbed the paper bag and began practicing my breathing in the corner.

“They can’t be professionals and just disappear like that, call the hacker!”

“I have already called him and he is on the job.”

“Where is… josh?” Brandon asked.

“He is downstairs, he said he is not going anywhere until the baby is found. Should I chase him?”

The room was meant with silence, Nester would have politely dropped him off at his house but he

chose to test us.

“Keep an eye on him,” Brandon replied, having realized what Nestor Was doing.

“I already have his call records searched, both he, June, and the guards have nothing on their phones,”

Nestor replied.

A knock came at the door, surprising us. We thought it was one of the guards but when Nestor walked

to the door and opened it, Josh quickly burst in without permission.

“Get out, I have told you, you can’t be in here,” Nestor grabbed him.

“I know a way to find where those stripers are from,” he announced.

I glanced in Brandon’s direction and got up, we were desperate, our baby was running out of time.

“Let him be,” Brandon ordered.

Nestor let go of his shirt surprised, I was surprised too but it was obvious that Brandon was running out

of options too.

“You are awake,” Josh mocked.

“Just spit it out, Kendra is running out of time.”

Josh chuckled, he glanced in my direction, the man was waiting for a thank you but he knew he was

not going to get it so he swallowed and explained his plan. “You all are not going to like the plan but we

are running out of time.”

“Just f*cking say it,” I yelled at him.

“My father,” he replied.

We all looked at each other in confusion

“I have been thinking, what if we are not able to track the masks because they are underground strip

clubs?” he asked.

“What if they are not strippers?” Brandon inquired.

“I have seen a lot of strippers in my life and those were strippers.”

“We have a stripper expert,” Brandon clapped his hands but Josh ignored him.

“My father knows every underground strip club in this country or any other country, he could tell those

masks in seconds,” he added.

We all looked at each other,

“Plus my father knows people that can find people using rocked ways. Such a kidnapping took planning

and such people know something. Hacking and the police will take days but one phone call to my

father will solve this,” he explained.

“Boss we have to try all possible means, we won’t lose anything,” Nestor added.

Brandon stared at Josh like he was analyzing him. I kept quiet because I did not know where to stand.

“Why would Victor help us after what we did to him,” Brandon asked.

“He is not helping you but me, he owes me for f*cking my wife and ruining my life,” Josh replied.

“Your father has no morals, correct me if I’m wrong. Did he ever apologize for what he did to you?”

“Did you ever apologize? Hours ago you just pointed a gun at me while I saved your pathetic life but

yet, not even a simple thank you,” he burst out and began walking out of the room, he stopped and

turned. “Do not worry I will keep you updated,” he added and walked out of the room.
