Chapter 7386
Chapter 7386
James raised his eyebrows. "What kind of bet?"
Xanthakos smiled coldly. "Let's bet on the group of friends you trust. It'll be my defeat if they manage to hold off the Caeloros God of Firmament, Quintinus, and come to reinforce you. You'll lose if Quintinus captures them and brings them back as hostages."
Looking at Xanthakos' confident look, James smiled and nodded. "What's on the line?"
Xanthakos smiled. "It's very simple. The winner gets what he wants. I'll hand this traitor back to you and allow you to do as you please with her. You could even play with her all you want."
Pointing at Yiulia, he laughed. "Don't worry. I haven't used her yet. I wanted to give her to Quintinus, so she's still in good condition!"
James shook his head. "That won't be enough. I want Light Thea as well."
Xanthakos laughed. "You're a faithful man, I give you that. Alright, I'll give them back to you if I lose. However, if I win..."
He stared at James maliciously, not rushing to finish his sentence.
James blurted, "You can have Frona and the Caeloros Supreme Scepter."
Xanthakos stood up excitedly. "Good! You're sensible! You're the epitome of righteousness and love!"
After speaking, Xanthakos shot a black-and-white light at James. A soul contract beaming with light immediately emerged in the void.
Yiulia shook her head and shouted anxiously, “Ahh...ahh!!!”
Unable to enunciate any words, she rushed over to try and stop him from signing the contract. However, Xanthakos released a ray of light and imprisoned her.
James looked at the contract and immediately signed it with his soul sigil.
The soul contract emitted a burst of light and then burned into ashes, signifying that it had taken effect immediately.
Xanthakos laughed triumphantly as if he had achieved what he had always dreamed of. He was overjoyed that he could so easily trick James into his scheme.
Since he had cultivated the Triple Nothingness Martial Technique, be was no longer bound by soul contracts. Even if Quintinus were to fail, he could go against his word and kill James with force.
James, however, was in a bad situation. He lacked a Supernatural Power that allowed him to break his soul contract, meaning he would die if he failed to fulfill the contract's terms.
Once James perished, Xanthakos could still claim Frona and the Caelores Supreme Scepter. He would achieve his goal without
having to do anything. Either way, he would be the ultimate winner.
James looked at Yiulia, who was despairing, with a smile. He sat down again and leisurely sipped his wine.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
Shortly after, a black-and-white light flashed behind Amos and Yiulia.
Seeing Quintinus, Xanthakos rushed over with anticipation. "How did it go? Did you succeed?"
Quintinus shoved the excited Xanthakos away, looked at Amos, and said, "We have to return to the Xanadu Realm as soon as possible. We can't stay any longer."
Xanthakos was stunned by his words. Even Amos, who had been calm and composed, could not help but stare at him puzzledly. Quintinus frowned and urged, "Are you leaving or not? I won't wait if you want to stay, but don't blame me for not being a loyal friend."
