That Day When I Got Married to My Boss at the Blind Date

Chapter 1273

In a state of urgency, Josie swiftly turned her face, ready to unleash a tirade. However, Dexter had already anticipated her move and promptly turned his cheek. As a result, her soft lips landed on his cheek.

Josie froze. She immediately burned up.

By the time she reacted, she instinctively tried to retreat. However, Dexter, quick as lightning, had already raised his hand to gently cradle the back of her head. This time, without any mistake, he planted a kiss on her lips.

They were intertwined with each other.

Josie’s heartbeat came to a halt. Her eyes widened in shock, and for a moment, she even forgot to struggle.

Perhaps her will to struggle wasn’t that strong at all.

Dexter could feel it. He hadn’t used much strength, but in the midst of their constant shifting and turning, his breathing gradually deepened. His large hand came to rest on her waist.

Josie finally came to her senses. “Dexter…”

Her voice was soft and low, reminiscent of a quiet kitten.

He gripped her tighter, allowing her to feel him.

“Jo…”

“Let go of me. Our daughter is right here!”

Catching Grape out of the corner of his eye, he noticed she was sound asleep. Without a second thought, he scooped Josie up by the waist and left the small room, heading toward the lounge.

On the way, he even instructed his secretary, “Take good care of the child.”

The receptionist’s face had turned red, let alone Josie. She was forced to nestle in the man’s arms, hiding her face. This man, as always, had no shame.

The door to the lounge closed with a soft click, and Josie was tossed onto the sofa. She found her freedom and was about to run, but the man grabbed hold of her calf. With a gentle tug, he pulled her back.

“Dexter! You beast!” Josie cried out in shock:

She had asked him to pay attention to their daughter, not to move her to a different location!

“Indeed, I’m a brute.” Dexter didn’t argue. His chest was ablaze with a fiery emotion. His voice was low and cold, “Jo, listen to me.”

Their breaths intertwined, and a tingling sensation coursed through Josie’s ears. The familiar feeling of breathlessness returned, leaving him utterly weak.

Dexter kissed her fair neck, giving it a slight bite. Josie, wincing in pain, tilted her head back, much like a prey caught in the clutches of its predator.

“Where’s the rosary beads that I gave you?” Josie asked, despite being lost in the throes of passion.

Dexter paused in his actions, sparing a bit of energy to unclasp the string of rosary beads from his wrist, casually tossing it onto the table.

“It broke the night you left Wavery.”

Josie snapped back to her senses.

“Later on, Mr. Peeple considered piecing them back together, but I stopped him.” He gathered her hair strands, murmuring, “I suppose it had shielded you from misfortune, so I just left it as it was.”

So that’s what happened.

As he kissed her waist, Josie suddenly remembered something. She asked, “Have you been unwell these past two years?”

The man slowly lifted his head, his eyes tinged with a hint of redness. He revealed a unique smile. “You’ll know once you try.”

That’s not what I meant!

As autumn was about to set in Wavery, a light rain fell during the night. The raindrops splattered against the floor-to-ceiling windows, blurring the neon lights outside. Josie was nearly delirious, only able to make out the distant coastal streetlights that formed a line, gradually fading into obscurity.

After an indeterminate amount of time, everything finally came to a halt just as the neon lights were about to go out.

Josie, drained of all energy, nestled in the man’s embrace, as soft and pliable as a cat.All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.

Her long, black hair intertwined with her deep red skin, creating an indescribable allure that was utterly captivating, making one’s heart flutter with desire.

Dexter received a phone call, whatever was said on the other side was unknown. He responded with a light hum, his expression was noticeably upset as he hung up, and his earlier desire had all but dissipated.
