Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 938

Grandma Aubree and Grandpa Elmer quickly got up, not wanting Anya to do the cooking. After all, having a guest come over and end up in the kitchen just wasn't the way things were done. But Hansen was quick to calm them down. "My Anya, don't let her size fool you-she's a pro in the kitchen."

In under ten minutes, Anya emerged with a steaming bowl of noodles.

"Uncle, do you have a juicer?" she asked.

Chad eagerly opened the fridge. "Which one do you need?"

Anya grabbed a lemon and headed back to the kitchen, returning shortly with a small amount of freshly squeezed juice.

She placed it on the table. "Auntie, give this a try. It's super refreshing."

Before her aunt could even reach for the glass, Henry, comfortably nestled in his mom's arms, began drooling with anticipation. "Ah. Ah."

Molly, seated at the table, watched the juice disappear in a couple of sips, feeling a wave of contentment. She took a sip herself, the tangy and cool taste making her mouth water instantly. The noodle soup was clear and simple, with no trace of oil. A sprinkle of chopped scallions and a half-boiled egg added a touch of color.

Its straightforward yet appetizing look made everyone's mouth water.

Chad handed Molly a fork and spoon, concern etched on his face. "Molly, have a few bites."

As Chad passed the utensils, Henry stretched out his little arms eagerly.

Mia quickly pulled her son closer, ensuring he didn't strain himself. "How can you be so greedy? Your dad and I have spent a fortune catering to those little taste buds of yours." Henry tried his best to reach the dining table.

At home, the family often let him explore freely, sometimes placing him on the coffee table with a fruit bowl as his toy, or on the dining table as their little mascot.

At the Byrnes' place, he was at it again, trying to grab something from the table.

Mia turned to her husband, "Honey, come and hold your son."

Andre stood up and effortlessly picked up their little foodie.

Hansen glanced at his daughter's half-bowl of sour broth noodles. "Really, is this enough? Just a few bites, and it's gone-not even enough for Henry."

Anya explained, "Grandpa, pregnant women should have smaller, more frequent meals during morning sickness. This way, it's easier on the stomach. Even if it looks small, it's just right for Auntie." Molly had already started eating. After barely eating the day before, she was famished now.

The tangy drink further awakened her appetite.

Coleen and Kendrick watched their daughter eat, Coleen's heart filled with relief as Molly took several bites without feeling nauseous. Coleen couldn't help but smile, while Chad's concern for his wife grew even more. He was ready to whip up more juice for her. In his mind, knowing what his wife liked meant offering her the world.

Anya stopped him. "Uncle, too much might upset her stomach. Half a cup is just right."

Everyone gathered to watch Molly eat, while Henry cleverly wriggled out of his dad's arms and toddled towards the table, his steps wobbly like a little duckling.

In the living room, Andre kept a watchful eye on his son.

Henry toddled forward, Andre following closely behind, ready to catch him if he stumbled.

Henry wrapped his arms around his mom's leg with a cheerful, "Mommy."

Mia glanced down, surprised, then back at her husband. Andre smiled and nodded, confirming her thoughts.

Mia was silently elated, moved by how Henry had walked over, calling her "Mommy."

She reached out, and Henry, grinning, placed his tiny hand in hers. Together, they made their way to the table, Henry holding onto the table legs and looking up at his aunt with his adorable chubby face, "Ah." Henry, with his round cheeks, was asking his aunt for a taste.

Molly dipped her fork in the soup, immediately offering it to her little nephew.

The next moment, Henry licked it, satisfied, flashing a smile with his two little teeth showing.

Tired of standing, he plopped down and rolled to a familiar pair of shoes, clinging to his dad's leg and reaching up to be picked up.

Andre's face softened with affection as he lifted his little one, his warm voice echoing in the living room, "Henry recognizes dad's shoes now?"

After finishing the noodles and the

juice, everyone from the Byrne family looked at Anya in admiration. Grandma Aubree couldn't resist and took Anya's hand, teasing Hansen, "Why should this girl stay

you?"

"But the Byrne family would love to have her," Grandpa Elmer chimed in. "Stay here, dear, and keep Aunt Molly company."

Anya was caught off guard.

Hearing this blatant offer, Hansen protested, "What's going on here! Anya's future is with the Cedillo family; she's Leo's partner, after all."

The open declaration of her connection with Chad made Anya blush like a ripe tomato.

Hansen added, "Molly, come with me. Anya can help you feel better, and Chad can join too."

He assured the Byrne family, "Don't worry, once she's better, I'll bring her back. Molly can't stay too long at our place; otherwise, Hansen's peace might be at risk."

Molly, feeling a bit embarrassed for

Anya, said, "Dad, I'm staying put, and you all should stop expecting Anya to do things. for me. She's the Calder family's daughter, not my maid. You think Mr. and Mrs. Calder would be okay with this? Even if they are, Leo would be heartbroken. I'm not going anywhere, and Anya shouldn't have to do our bidding. I'm full now, and I'm going to rest." Molly got up to leave.

Anya chimed in, "Auntie, Chad's also worried about your health."

Molly, baffled by the young girl's thoughts, simply embraced Anya. "You sweet kid, come here."

Anya was whisked away by Molly.

Coleen recognized the awkwardness

too. Anya, being the Calder family's

precious daughter, shouldn't be expected to cook for her daughter Trying to ease the situation, she said, "Anya, you've got some hidden talents. Leo's one lucky guy

"Our Molly has been pampered since day one, thanks to Chad. In middle school, she'd make instant noodles, and Chad would hover nearby, worried the steam might get to her..."
