Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 936

However, as he woke up, the real challenge began.

In the back seat, little Henry was lying there, bare-bottomed and bawling his eyes out, his tiny tush exposed to the great outdoors for the first time. Waking up to the sight of his not-so-familiar brother holding him, Henry, in his adorable innocence, hadn't quite grasped what was happening. His brother, unable to resist his cuteness, swooped in for a big, affectionate kiss.

That triggered the waterworks, and Henry was inconsolable.

Just as he was about to calm down, his well-meaning but slightly clueless brother plopped him in the back seat to change his diaper, cleaning him up. "Come on, stop crying! Whether it stinks or not, I'm the best big brother in history for having to do this. You better look after me when I'm old, you hear?"

Leo used up half a pack of baby wipes on him. "Uh-oh, Henry, looks like I put your diaper on backward. Hold still, let me fix that."

Henry's cries echoed through the empty parking lot, his baby voice the only sound in the air.

While Anya was busy with her exam, Leo was keeping himself occupied. He tried honking the car horn to entertain Henry, but couldn't do that for long. Then he picked some wildflowers and tucked one behind Henry's ear. Henry paused, removed it, gave it a curious look, then resumed crying.

Leo even took him to the supermarket for some snacks, letting him pick whatever caught his eye.

Finally, Leo played what he thought was the silliest cartoon ever, "Boonie Bears," which Henry's mom loved.

Sure enough, Henry was glued to the screen.

Leo, slightly mocking, said, "You know, you could be watching 'Pirates of the Caribbean,' but I guess we'll stick with this."

The moment the phone's screen went dark, Henry clutched his rice cake, his little mouth quivering, gearing up for another cry.

"Alright, alright, here, watch your favorite cartoon."

Back in their school days, Mia and Molly would sneak off to a café and watch this show on their brother's tablet.

Leo always thought it was ridiculous.

Anya was the first to bolt out of the exam room, swift as the wind.

When she reached the parking lot, there was Henry, perched on his brother's lap, milk bottle half-empty, rice cake nibbled, eyes glued to the cartoon on Leo's phone.

If anyone tried to distract him, he'd shoot them a quick glance before his attention snapped back to the screen. It wasn't clear if he understood a word, but Leo's shirt was a patchwork of Henry's tears and drool. Seeing his girlfriend, Leo asked, "How'd the exam go?"

Anya nodded, "I've done it all before, no problem. Chad, what are you up to?" She cozied up to watch the third episode with Henry.

Leo handed Henry and the phone to Anya. At the restaurant, she couldn't tear herself away from the cartoon either.

It was a while before Anya finally put the phone down, avoiding Leo's eyes sheepishly.

When Leo went to pay, she murmured, "Chad, the phone's out of juice."

In the end, Anya took the phone to settle the bill.

After a hearty meal, they headed back home. Henry was sleepy, and once he nestled into his brother's bed, he dozed off peacefully. Anya joined in, cuddling the little one to sleep. Leo charged his phone and soon got a call, "Leo, why haven't you been answering?"

"My girlfriend was watching cartoons on it, and it died. What's up?" Leo replied.

Lee said, "You're closer to the office. Can you swing by and grab some documents?" Leo shot back, "Will you cover my gas and pay me for the trouble?"

"Can't you just do me a favor without all this fuss?"

Leo retorted, "If you want a favor, ask nicely. I thought you'd know better at your age."

Before hanging up, Leo added, "Not gonna happen."

Then he slipped into bed for a nap alongside Henry.

Anya heard the call and seemed to have a ton of questions, but sleep pulled her under.

The three of them squeezed onto the small bed, but they all slept soundly.

Henry had been missing for a day, but the Cedillo family carried on, calm and collected.

8 p.m. rolled around.

Andre got off work and picked up his wife from school. They were eager to see their cute, chubby son.novelbin

Hansen and Naomi Bruce had missed him all day, looking forward to seeing him too.

But when they got home, they exclaimed, "Where's Henry?"

"My son, where is he?"

Panic spread like wildfire!

The Cedillo family was thrown into chaos, their precious little one nowhere to be found.

Hansen, face red with urgency, was ready to turn Havenbrook upside down to find their treasure! Bruce, fuming, was about to call the cops...

But then they remembered their notorious history with the police, especially Jade, the officer's wife known for her tendency to "borrow" kids. Hansen quickly dialed his daughter, "Molly, you didn't sneak off with my grandson again, did you?"

Molly, at the Byrne house, was pale "I'm so nauseous, I can

and

I didn't have the energy

your grandson."

After overindulging on bananas at her parents' place, she assumed it was just indigestion. Skipping dinner didn't help.

The next day, she still couldn't eat and rushed to the trash can at the slightest scent.

Coleen told her, "You're having morning sickness."

Molly, hunched over the trash can, remembered her sisters' pregnancy woes, realizing firsthand how tough it was. Chad brought her some tangy soup to help, but even the smell made her retch again, her stomach empty.

"Mom, am I going to be so sick I throw up the baby?" Molly asked, weakly looking up at her mom.

Coleen replied, "...you won't throw up the baby, but you might throw up your brains."

Molly, resigned, said, "Let it all out then. Having brains doesn't help much when I keep falling for Chad's tricks." Officer Chad was speechless.

Molly had taken leave from work,

spent her days in a sleepy haze, and dreaded mealtimes. Hungry as she was, she could only manage a few bites. Chad, worried, went next door for help, running into Conner who was also looking for Annie,
