Stuck In The Wrong Marriage

Chapter 71

Happy reading…

Jayden and Elena have now officially become husband and wife. In the eyes of God and the law. The newlywed couple looked very happy. Smiles and laughter graced the faces of both of them when they received congratulations and took photos with the guests.

Now it was Hera and Haidar’s turn to go up the aisle to congratulate them. For some reason when they exchanged glances, the atmosphere suddenly felt heavy.

“Congratulations on your marriage,” said Hera, smiling sweetly as she held out her hand to Elena. Never thought that such words would come out of his mouth.

The woman clad in a very luxurious wedding dress welcomed Hera’s outstretched hand. “Thanks for coming, Hera,” said Elena smiling. But not the sincere smile she had shown to the previous guests, but a proud smile that seemed a little arrogant.

“You look very happy. I hope this ‘traitor’ will not repeat the same mistake in his marriage,” Haidar quipped so plainly. Hera who heard it was not surprised, but it was different with Elena. The woman looks shocked. Even she thought that Haidar had no manners at all. Jayden himself couldn’t help but chuckle. When he talks, Haidar’s mouth sometimes doesn’t have a filter. Especially when it comes to Jayden.

“You calm down. I married the woman I love. There’s no way I could betray her,” Jayden said confidently. He also tightly gripped Elena’s hand as if to signal to them that he meant what he said.

Hera’s face flashed a bitter smile. The way Jayden looked at Elena made his heart throb a little. The woman chose to turn her gaze towards Haidar.

Not. No more jealousy. After all, why is she jealous? Now Jayden is with the person he loves and Hera must do the same.

Haidar smiled a little. He pulled Hera’s slender waist so that their bodies were pressed together without a gap. Hera who was slightly shocked could only stare with a confused face.NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

“And I will do the same. Thank you, Jayden, for releasing Hera for me,” said Haidar turning to Hera. “Come on, honey. I think our business is done here,” he continued then pulled Hera away from there.

Wait?

What?

Jayden heard right?

Haidar called Hera as dear. Have they really been together?

Haidar and Hera are now outside the building. Haidar stepped further forward until he could grasp the guardrail leaving the silent Hera standing, staring at him.

Several times a long sigh was heard from Haidar’s mouth. From the start the man seemed uncomfortable being there. The air inside felt so stifling in his chest.

“Are you upset?” Hera asked, daring to touch Haidar’s shoulder.

“I always get annoyed every time I see Jayden’s face,” said Haidar without turning around.

Hera stepped closer. Take a place beside Haidar.

“I’m sorry. We shouldn’t have come,” Hera said regretfully. They shouldn’t have been there in the first place. Both Hera and Haidar had a bad relationship with Jayden. Hera might be able to pretend, but not with Haidar. Acting as if everything was fine would make the man’s chest constrict.

“Then makes Jayden think that you didn’t come because you still have feelings for him?” asked Haidar raising one eyebrow. He turned around to make them face each other.

Hera smiled a little. Really can’t believe it. Jayden was now with Elena—the woman he loved—there was no way he was still thinking about her feelings.

“Would Jayden think that way? Do my feelings still matter to him?”

Now a small laugh came from Hera’s mouth. A few strands of Hera’s hair that were deliberately untied flew in the breeze. Haidar gently smoothed the woman’s hair. A simple treatment but able to make Hera’s heart beat fast.

“You are very innocent and insensitive, honey,” said Haidar making the fine wrinkles on Hera’s forehead visible. Confused. “Why do you think Jayden invited you to his wedding? Of course to make you jealous and jealous.”

“Is that so?” Hera still had doubts.

Haidar nodded slightly in response.

“Then Jayden is wrong. I can’t be jealous and envious of him. What if I already have you, Haidar,” Hera said wrapping her arms around Haidar’s arms. Spoiled.

Seeing Hera’s behavior, Haidar suddenly gaped in disbelief. He even covered his mouth with his hand to add more drama to his expression.

“Hey, Hera! Who did you learn to brag about?” asked Haidar still with a very dramatic expression. “Really, I’m very surprised, honey.”

Hera couldn’t hold back her laughter anymore. The more he got to know Haidar, the more Hera realized that the man also had a humorous side and was very expressive. The man can express what he feels in a way that is quite exaggerated. As it is now. The two of them then laughed out loud there, not caring that some of the guests were looking at them. Like the world now belongs only to the two of them.

“Haidar!”

Their laughter gradually subsided when someone called Haidar’s name. A middle-aged man dressed in a black tuxedo walked gallantly towards them.

“Here you are,” said the man. Haidar just smiled faintly there.

The middle-aged man then glanced at Hera. “Is she the woman you mean, Haidar?” he asked turning to Haidar with a bright smile.

Haidar nodded. “Yes, Dad. Introduce her Hera Altezza … my lover,” said Haidar with a tone so proud and happy. While Hera could only smile shyly.

Since seeing the man approaching her, Hera already thought that the middle-aged man was Haidar’s family. They look similar starting from the small nose and gait. And sure enough, the man was Haidar’s father.

“Good afternoon, Mr Pratama. I’m Hera Altezza,” Hera said kindly and politely as she held out her hand.

“Thomas Pratama, Haidar’s father. And for my future daughter-in-law, you can call me Papa or Dad,” Thomas said, taking Hera’s hand and laughing.

Hera blushed even more with the words of Haidar’s father. Who wouldn’t blush if at the first meeting the prospective daughter-in-law was called? That means the blessing is already in hand.

“It seems Hera will be more comfortable calling Dad as Papa,” Haidar teased and put his arm around Hera’s shoulder. “Is that so, honey?” he asked.

“Yes,” Hera replied making the two men smile meaningfully.

“Looks like I’m not the only one who wants to meet your lover,” said Thomas.

Hera and Haidar exchanged glances.

Who else wants to see me?
