Chapter 1497 Fickle Radish Peeps At Gilbert

Chapter 1497 Fickle Radish Peeps At Gilbert

The Harem spirit and Radley were engaged in a conversation that left the ghost bride perplexed. She

couldn't help but wonder, Aren't those just two lines of poetry? Why do they sound different when they

say it? Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

Curious, Radley asked the Harem spirit, "By the way, what's your name?"

She replied, "I'm Stella, but now they all call me Harem spirit or Sissy Harem."

Taken aback, Radley inquired, "Harem spirit? How did you die?"

With a sigh, she explained, "It's a long story, but in short, I was dating two boyfriends at the same time

when I was preparing to get married—"

Shocked, Radley interrupted, "Oh my, did you die of kidney failure?"

The Harem spirit knocked on Radley's head. "What are you thinking?" She wondered how the radish

could claim that she died from kidney failure. She continued, "It's a bit absurd. My ex-boyfriend ran

away with my money and eloped with my former boyfriend. My husband found out about this, and I

accidentally fell to my death while trying to win him back."

The radish was confused, as if its CPU had been fried by a few short lines of text. Radley concluded,

"So, in other words, you were killed by three men!"

She said, "You could say that, but I'd rather put it in another sense, sigh!"

The radish sympathized deeply and said, "Be careful in your next life."

The Harem spirit nodded. "If there is a next life, I will die properly."

The ghost bride on the side found herself bewildered by their conversation. She hadn't even hopped on

the bus, and the whole thing overwhelmed her, leaving confusion smeared all over her face like tire

marks. "Can you guys talk slower... I don't understand!" she said, thoroughly confused. She thought

she had Sissy Harem all figured out, only to now realize she had mistaken a smooth train ride for a

bumpy bicycle journey. She couldn't help but sigh and reflect. In this life, I want to be as carefree as

her. After all, this was the ghost bride's lifelong dream.

While the Harem spirit and Radley chatted and wandered about, they eventually found themselves at

the door of Gilbert's room. She sighed and peeked inside without opening the door. "Oh my, Gilbert is

actually asleep!" Her eyes gleamed with excitement.

Gilbert had endured two consecutive days of night shifts, performing six surgeries in a row, leaving him

thoroughly exhausted. Now, he lay sound asleep. Earlier, Bettany had tried to wake him for dinner, but

her efforts were in vain.

At that moment, the sleeping Gilbert felt an odd sense of unease. His eyelashes trembled slightly, and

he opened his eyes in confusion. The room was silent, nearly dark, with nothing seemingly out of the

ordinary. Yet, at that very instant, he sensed something was wrong.

"Lift it slightly… Just a bit!"

"Don't move! I've got this!"

"Can you do it or not? I'm not asking for the moon. I just want a glimpse of his chest muscles. After all,

he's Lilly's uncle, so show some respect."

"Holy crap, you're lifting from the bottom to check out his chest muscles! And you still claim to respect

him after seeing everything?"

Gilbert had been in a deep slumber, and the murmurs in his ear were muffled and unclear. In a state of

soul-wandering, the world around him felt unreal. Perplexed, he glanced downward and witnessed

something lifting the quilt. His bewildered thoughts questioned, Wait, what's happening? And why does

it... move on its own?

Suddenly, his eyes widened, and he reflexively sat up, hastily covering himself with the quilt. To his

surprise, a white radish tumbled out of the bed.

He stared at the radish in astonishment. Although he couldn't see the Harem spirit, who was, after all, a

spirit, Radley was different. Radley was a Heaven and Earth spiritual treasure resembling a radish with

limbs and facial features.

Still in shock, Gilbert blurted out, "A transformed radish!"

Radley, shaking the leaves on her head, replied, "What transformed radish? I'm not a radish..."

Before Gilbert could fully comprehend the situation, he saw a female spirit in a wedding gown float into

the room through the door.

As soon as the ghost bride saw him, she exclaimed, "Oh! Darling, you're awake..."

In response, he exclaimed, "Oh my goodness!"

Clutching the quilt, he hurriedly ran out with only his legs exposed.

The door slammed shut, leaving the two spirits and a radish staring at each other.

The Harem spirit quickly urged, "Oh no! Run!" She was certain the weakling spirit was on his way

upstairs.

The ghost bride also turned pale and exclaimed, "Run... Run now, or we'll get slapped again!"

Radley was bewildered and wondered why they needed to run away.

Then, a teenage spirit appeared at the door, his expression twisted with anger. "Stella..." His

resentment was more chilling than a ghost's.

As the Harem spirit dashed off, she yelled, "It wasn't me! Really, it wasn't me! I didn't crawl under the

quilt! I really didn't do it this time!"

Then, the weakling spirit squinted at Radley.

Meanwhile, Lilly had just left her room, preparing to go downstairs. Suddenly, she noticed a "quilt"

hastily descending from the third floor.

While observing this, Speedy muttered to himself, Wow! I see my brother. He must be strong because

he has more leg hair than me. Read at

Confused, she said, "Uncle Gilbert?"

"Lilly!" Overjoyed and shocked, he discarded the quilt he was wrapped in. He embraced her and lifted

her, spinning around in delight. "You're back!"

She was surprised that, at 11 years old, he could still lift her and spin her around.
