Lily's POV:

When I saw those eyes of my brother, I knew right away that he would not want to visit dad. I forced

him to accompany me to the hospital as I told Shawn what happened exactly since I have been

kidnapped. He ordered his men to bring Siergo to his feet so he would be punished respectively.

Shawn waited in the hall for us after he ordered Jack to go back home, I informed my brother about

how dad was pressured and that the only reason he treated us badly was because; I am illegitimate

and Kenny always took his mother's side even though she betrayed him.

I kept convincing him that we have to be by his side on his death bed. Eventually, he gave in to my

exasperation and agreed to check up on him with me. We both entered his room, dad was arguing with

the doctor to let him leave but the doctor refused.

"I am telling you, I do not care whether I live or die just let me go," he yelled.

"Why don't you care?" Shawn replied, he overheard our conversation earlier and it seems that he

wanted to loosen up the mood since he knew it would be so tense.

Dad looked our way surprised to see his one and only son staring at him next to the daughter who left

him a month ago.

"What are you doing here, and who are you?" Dad snapped out.

"I am your daughter's husband,"

Kenny and I glared at Shawn trying to signal him that this is not the best time right now for this. Dad did

not reply to his statement though, he passed by the doctor aiming to take his leave. Kenny grabbed his

arm and pushed him back to his bed forcefully.

"You are a patient, you shall stay here quietly until the day you die," Kenny spat out. He was

mentioning it rather cruelly but he meant nothing but good intention.

"Why would you care whether I live or die, you are the one who disowned me long years ago so why

now?" dad asked sadly.

"Lily forced me to care; I am willing to listen to her,"

"Dad, you should rest now, you can't be moving around, please listen to us," I said and as dad opened

"Father-in-law, you will be moving with us, a doctor from Germany will be treating you. You need to be

taken care of in the best way so just accept the fate your children have chosen for you,"

"Did we decide that?" Kenny and I retorted at the same second looking awkwardly at Shawn, seeing

our reaction, he chuckled and ordered his assistant to fasten the process.

"I don't need your..."

Shawn closed the distance between him and dad and whispered in dad's ears with words that I could

not hear. After that, dad accepted to go back home with us which was strangely weird. Shawn showed

him to his room, and the maids took care of him afterward.

“I got to say you are one weird but a very good man, Shawn. I am happy my sister chose the right

person,” Kenny started.

"You don't need to go that far just for Lily, you should be busy preparing for your own father's funeral,"

Kenny pointed out.

I could spot sadness in Shawn's eyes that he wanted to hide as best as he could.

"C'mon let's go, we need to finish this properly," I confirmed.

I instructed Kenny to stay in the mansion; I accompanied Shawn to his father's grave. He had already

ordered his men to carry out his burial secretly; he did not want any unnecessary attention. Standing in

front of the grave that belongs to the man who ruined my life but is also my lover's father made me feel

ultimate controversy.

"You don't need to be here with me,"

"No, I insist... I am sor..."

"Don't you dare, Lily. You know very well that he deserves it,"

I caressed Shawn's cheeks gently while patting on his back. He might not feel bad about his father

being killed but he must be upset for sure.

"Everything is going to be okay," Shawn murmured.

We cuddled for a bit after returning to the car, we missed each other greatly and Shawn was so clingy

he did not want to leave me alone for even a second now.

"I couldn't kiss you earlier because of that Jack," he pouted indulging his tongue in a pleasurable

experience with mine.

"You really…really are a fan of outdoor sex," I laughed.

"I didn't say anything about sex though, it was an innocent kiss. Were you expecting something?" he

asked devilishly.

"No, I didn't mean that," my cheeks blushed and I turned into my usual vegetable form.

"You must want to check on your friends, right?"

"Yeah, thanks for prot..."

Shawn placed his hands on my mouth.

"Just shut up," he said as he drove to the shelter house he kept them in. It was heavily guarded, he

waked me up when we reached it, it was morning by now and I did not sleep all night so I was kind of

tired.

"Lilyyyy," Diana screamed as she spotted me. Clara and Jenny followed after her.

"I was dead worried about you, silly girl,"

"Me too," I replied adorably.

I was telling them the story from its beginning again while Shawn was speaking with Tony and John in

the dining room.

"How did your life turn out like that?" Clara asked still not believing that I went through all of that.

"Straight out of an action mafia movie," Jenny chuckled.

"That is true,"

"Hey girls, let's have breakfast," John commented.

We gathered around the table and started eating together; we kept speaking about all sorts of stuff. We

even stayed up until late with them, we were tired but in dire need to socialize together in peace. When

we came back to the mansion, everything was peaceful as well, the will has been sorted out and

Shawn inherited everything.

In addition, Shawn punished Siergo himself before delivering him to the prison as a baked cake

charged for kidnapping, bribery, corruption, and several other charges. Kenny's relationship with dad

was improving bit by bit as he was surveying his diet regime. I began to feel more familiar with them,

after a while watching a movie with both of them was no big deal.

Shawn appointed me as the CEO of my company instead of Siergo and with the days passing, I started

getting very good in my job, shares increased highly and all the executives were very proud of me.

Shawn advised me to leave work, for now, to continue studying, I had to finish college first and I

agreed.

"I like this normal, calm feeling I am experiencing now," I addressed Shawn as I stood with him on the

balcony.

"That is going to be your life from now on, sweetie," he replied placing kisses all over my face.

"I wish so..."

I really wish to stay like that forever, living a normal life is all I ever wished for after all.
