Family branding
Sofia:
Something that caught my attention in the baptism of my triplets, apart from being totally identical, was that they discovered a birthmark or birthmark, which is located right between the two nipples of each of them.
This was observed when the children were uncovered on the chest so that the priest could anoint the oil, according to the spiritual rite. This mark is of a light brown color and which no member of my family possesses, neither on the maternal nor paternal side.
Now, according to what the pediatrician told me, it is a pigmented birthmark that runs in the family. In any case, the pediatrician asked me to keep an eye out for any change in appearance.

Once the ceremony was over, we headed to the restaurant, where we had made a reservation to intimately celebrate this ceremony of my children. Once there, Jose David and his father came over to chat with me.
-Sofia, congratulations, your children are beautiful! -I think my friend Juan Carlos, God rest his soul, would be very proud of them,” he commented.
-Thank you, Mr. Medina,” I replied, not believing what I was hearing. I always thought he was a hypocrite.
-Don’t call me “Mr. Medina” -he ordered me with a greedy look- Just call me Reyner, remember that we are partners now and you are above me -he reminded me.
My mother, who also shared my opinion about him, gave him a discreet sideways glance. Then she averted her gaze for a few seconds towards me, sending me signals, so that I should be careful of him and not trust what he tells me.
-“In any case, I like to respect my elders,” I replied, interpreting my mother’s message, “I think this is the best way to do it,” I replied, distrusting him.
“Sometimes, I get the impression that he must have influenced my father, for that so-and-so engagement, because dad was very jealous. Everyone said he wouldn’t let me have a boyfriend. And overnight he changed that idea.”
Although I was not sure whose idea it was to create a marriage engagement between his son and me, since my adolescence I began to experience a kind of rejection towards him, but not towards his son, who always behaved very respectful towards me.
Jose David, was a kind of older brother, to whom one comes to have affection, respect and appreciation, but without going beyond that. I never saw him as a man, but as a friend. Unfortunately, the insistence of our parents for that commitment, led me to put distance between us.Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
-Son, aren’t you going to greet and congratulate Sofia? -he asked, encouraging his son to approach me.
-Yes, father,” he answered, “Since you were talking to her, I didn’t want to interrupt,” his son answered seriously and looked angry, “Hi Sofia, how are you feeling?
-Very well! Every day better and ready to leave for the Island, to assume my responsibilities -I answered him making clear my intentions to manage the Shipping Company.
-I think it’s excellent! -He answered me, with an icy voice and look, looking at me with a certain disdain. -He added, “I have seen a mark similar to the one your children have on someone else.
-The pediatrician told me it’s a family mark, but in mine, none of them have it,” I clarified.
-Suddenly, it’s the father’s! -he wondered.
-Maybe! -I answered sternly.
-Is it true what my father told me? That you were drugged and you don’t know who the father of your children is? -he asked, in a low voice, sadly?
-Yes!” I answered, feeling uncomfortable in front of him.
As I was not willing to tolerate someone judging me, I apologized and focused on taking care of my children, counting on my two friends. They gawked at Jose David, since for them he was an adonis, which I disagreed with.
When I told them what he told me about the birthmark of my children, they fell on me, protesting because I did not insist, to remember who they had seen that mark. This seems absurd to me because he does not leave the Island, except when he came to see me pregnant and now because of my children.
On the other hand, since the will was read, my mother dedicated herself to preparing me to take over my father’s position in the Shipping Company. With her, I especially learned to have control of my emotions, not to let myself be overwhelmed and to make cold decisions and she even recommended me to take time to decide.
So, despite not being fully prepared to be CEO, remembering Reyner’s attitudes, in whom my father placed his trust, I decided to take the reins of the business. And the first thing I assumed was that I had to armor myself, so that nothing would affect me.
When the triplets were two months old….
The Narrator:
Sofia, getting off her father’s private jet, now hers, at the international airport of Paradise Island, along with her children, her nannies and her mother, was met by the chauffeur of the house, who picked them up and took them directly to the mansion.
-Mommy, did they make the modifications I requested for the triplets’ room? -Sofia asked her mother.
-Yes, my love! Everything was done according to your taste,” she answered, with a smile that showed even in her eyes how happy she was with her grandchildren, holding the oldest of her triplets in her arms.
To differentiate them, because the three are identical and even with their big eyes of honey or hazel color and their blond hair, they made them each a slave, with their full name. Although Sofia did not know how, but she distinguished them perfectly.
When they arrived at the mansion, she noticed a big change, she had not been there for several years. She had barely come twice, during her first year of moving to Ciudad La Rosa. On the other hand, her mother had remodeled the room that was her husband’s, in order to place there the bedroom for her grandchildren.
As for the modifications, they were adequate and appropriate for the triplets, so that they would feel like real kings, who would lack nothing, except for their father. Sofia took that day to finish preparing for the challenge ahead.

The following day, following the instructions of her lawyers Homero and Bertin, Sofia went to the company at ten o’clock in the morning to attend the shareholders’ meeting. In this meeting, the transfer of shares from her father will be made and the position of CEO will be put to a vote.
Reyner Medina, taking advantage of his condition of old partner and who had been in charge of the shipping company since the death of her father, had influenced some people to support him and become the new CEO.
This without taking into account that Estefania’s shares, her mother’s and hers totaled 60% of the total capital stock of Naviera, therefore, they had the majority to decide.
For this act, advised by her mother, Sofia chose a tailored suit, three-piece, narrow skirt, light gray, which falls below her thick knees, black blouse, long sleeves and an open blazer, which falls at the height of her hips, gray.
Once Sofia entered the meeting room, accompanied by her mother, all those present, mostly men, stood up when they saw her and welcomed her.
By the astonishment on their faces, either they did not expect her arrival or she dazzled them, she really looked regal, dominant, even arrogant. She was a young woman, very beautiful, graceful, elegant, that would make anyone’s eyes turn around.
Before this, Sofia, taking her place in the position her father had occupied in life, placed her black, envelope-like, classic Chanel handbag on the round table, leaving many people speechless…
