She’s Married, Sir (Scarlett and Sebastian)

Chapter 29

Chapter 29

Scarlett was afraid that she would be anxious, so she quickly reassured her. “Im slimming down for

your wedding!”

Susan frowned and said to her, “You’re as thin as a rail! What’s the deal with weight loss? Come on,

just grab a donut or two for goodness sake!”

Cosmo erupted in laughter. “You really wanna fatten her up, huh?”

Susan snorted twice. “Scarlett looks good no matter what!”

Cosmo nodded. “Yes, yes, yes. Scarlett looks good no matter what. Can you come with me to try on

your makeup now?”

After being interrupted by Cosmo, Susan stopped lecturing Scarlett. She dragged her to the dressing

room.

They finished trying the makeup and went to the hotel to rehearse the wedding process.

After they were done, Cosmo took Susan and Scarlett to the restaurant for a meal and then sent them

back home.

Susan went back home to rest for a while and began to tidy up her things.

Cosmo bought a house, and he would move in with Susan after their wedding.

“Scarlett, when I move into the new house, this place will be handed to you to take care of. You have to

protect our home

well!”

Guarded by Scarlett, this place was equivalent to home to Susan.

“Okay.”

Scarlett smiled and nodded. She took the clothes from her hand and folded them one by one.

Susan only picked a few clothes and then stopped packing. Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.

Although she and Cosmo would get married, she would still come back often to accompany Scarlett.

Scarlett knew what she was thinking and did not say much

After helping her fold her clothes and put them in the box, she smiled and said to Susan, “I have a

wedding gift for you.”

“What gift?” Susan smiled gently.

“Wait for me.”

Scarlett turned back to her bedroom, opened the drawer, took out a bank card, and handed it to

Susan.

“This is a dowry I saved for you. Take it with you.”

A woman needs to have her own money in a marriage.

Over the years, she had divided her salary into several parts, one for paying back Sebastian, one for

Susan, and one for daily

expenses.

Every month’s salary, plus the year-end salary and bonuses, amounted to nearly three hundred

thousand annually. She was frugal, saving all of it, and upon returning to Sebastian, she had saved up

an additional two hundred thousand.

If Susan encountered something bad after marriage and had only a little money to support her, she

would be relieved.

Moreover, the money was untainted; it was not earned through selling her body, but rather through her

own hard work. Susan could have it with a clear conscience.

When Susan saw this bank card, she was a little shocked.

She thought that after Scarlett returned one million to Sebastian, she did not have much money left.

She was still thinking of giving some more money to Scarlett, but she did not expect that she actually

saved a dowry for herself.

She was so frugal that she couldn’t bear to spend money.

No wonder she was so thin; how much hunger must she have endured?

“Scarlett. you didn’t have to do this!” She touched Scarlett’s cheek.

“My yearly income is substantial and I’m not one to splurge. I can still squirrel away this bit of cash.

Take it now.” Scarlett smiled kindly.

“I can’t take this money. I’m older than you and I’m like your elder sister. How can I accept this from

you? This is ridiculous!”

Scarlett knew that she would not take it, so she did not try to persuade her and directly stuffed the card

into her suitcase.
