She Prince

Chapter 18

Sitting over the wall Feng lei jumps down and hides himself behind the huge trunk of the tree.

Placing his palms over the rough trunk he peeps beside it to his left watching the two guards of the main gate walking around. He flinches when the sound of something thud on the land gets into his ears, furrowing his eyebrows curiously he turns around slowly, he bites his inner cheek to hold up his laughter.

“Where were you this late?,” He keeps a step forward slowly placing his foot over the dried twigs.

“Seriously,” I let out a loud breath, dusting my palms against each other my arm forward in motion to pull me up”

Help me out first.”

“I was out with XuXu,” I utter holding his hand which he moves forward “What are you doing at this hour?,” I ask immediately standing on my feet, my voice comes out louder mockingly as my wild thoughts packs up in my mind

He places his palm over my mouth and moves behind the huge trunk of the tree hiding in the dark, I rest my shoulders on the trunk and lean back pushing myself to the wood when he brushes over my body to peep over the trunk and look around.

My eyes widens when I feel his body over mine, my adrenaline rushes through when his breath hitches on the sensitive spot at the back of my ear, he lets out a sigh of relief and looks back, our eyes meeting each other. I stare at him curiously examining his features which seems familiar but my identification sensor isn’t working.

Especially those eyes, I got to clear my mind to solve these little puzzles first.

He stares back at me observing me, reading something on my face, a smile satisfaction makes it’s way on his lips and I have no idea why?

I come back to my senses when the scene which happened few hours ago flashes in my mind, that idiot. I shouldn’t have just pushed him and let him be like that, he is definitely dead if he gets in front of my eyes again.

Wrinkling my forehead I push him slightly and turn around, hugging the trunk I peep over my left shoulder to see the two guards walking around.

“Why are the guards inside the gate?,” I ask softly making sure my voice is low.

Placing his right arm over the trunk he leans over me and looks at the same direction ” I think it’s because of the rumour.”

Rumour?

How come I have no idea about it?

Especially when it’s rumour and gossip

“What’s the rumour?,” turning around I rest my shoulders on the trunk which makes him to step back leaving some space between us.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

The word ‘space’ flew away today

“About someone walking around at night,”

“And?,” I ask him to speak ahead as he just always ends up in one sentence.

“The sound of water can be heard from the bath place, some classmates say its a ghost,” he keeps another step back and looks around making sure that we are in the dark and cannot be seen.

I raise my eyebrows as my lips turns into an awkward smile thinking about the so called rumour.

Walking around?

At night?

In the bath place?

Ghost?

Damn… it’s me

“Has anyone seen it?,” I lean forward fiddling with my fingers nervously.

“No,” he snaps his eyes still on the surrounding watching the movement of the guards to get away when they walk to the opposite direction.

Keeping another step forward I look up at him, my eyes watching his chin and jaw line “Have you seen it?,” I ask eagerly yet softly.

“I..,” he looks at me “Not exactly,” he rubs his chin dramatically in a way of thinking something.

“What do you mean?,” I whisper yell losing my patience.

“Why do you look nervous?,” He raises a brow amusingly while I stare at him astonished thinking of his answer earlier and his behaviour right now seems like he knows something.

He bends slightly and brings his face closer to mine ” Why?,” He asks again his voice coming out dangerously low.

My eyes are glued on him while my mind tries to bring up words and form sentences , my brain is too busy right now that it doesn’t know whether to solve my inner voice which says his voice seems familiar or to create an answer for his question ‘why’.

The right side of his lips goes upwards when he looks deep into me ” Are you afraid of ghosts?,” He sneers.

“Do I look like someone who is afraid of ghosts?,” I scoff crossing my arms over my chest my nose blowing out a lot of air.

“Yes, you do,” he replies and steps forward to his right “let’s go,” he rattles and gestures me to hurry.

I run behind him in a bent posture keeping steps softly on the ground as the sound of the boots cracking on the stones cannot be formed.

We successfully arrive to our dorm without being caught, resting my palms on my knees I take deep breaths in and out, standing up I fist my palms and I punch slowly over my shoulders slightly massaging the muscles. Walking in I sit at the edge of the bed clasping my hands against each other relaxing myself.

“Were you really out with XuXu?,” turning to my right I face Feng Lei who is seated on the bed with his legs crossed.

“Yes, She wanted to visit the mount Tian,” I reply casually looking away.

“This late?,”

“Yeah, we visited all the stalls,”

“And then?,”

“And then, nothing,”

“So there is lip tint on your sleeve,” I face him immediately with wide eyes, he raises a brow at me amusingly and points showing me the stain, looking down at my sleeve to where he pointed, my eyes widens even more to see the blood stain on my sleeve.

“Ohh,” I cover it with my hand, getting up from the bed I remove my belt around my waist not giving him a glance.

The air around me is suffocating with the feeling of his orbs digging in me.

“Alright, What were you doing this late?,” I turn around to look at him trying to relax the air around us.

“None of your business,” he shrugs his shoulders and lays down on his pillow.

My lips forms into a an ‘o’ shape when I glare at him being vexed by his attitude. If my eyes were compound bows I’m sure that I would have shot a dozen of arrows on him.

“But I just answered all your questions,” I grunt stamping my feet on the floor madly.

“You can choose not to,” he replies bluntly closing his eyes.

“What? You… you…,” I point at him collecting words in my mind to scold him.

“Noisy,” he turns over his right arm with his arms crossed over his chest his eyes closed.

Scrunching up my nose I flare up in anger “Rascal,” I whisper yell at him holding the letter ‘l’ for a while to drag my anger.
