Chapter 1086
**"What do you mean my chef can't make fish soup?"**
Odie was momentarily puzzled but quickly realized Jonah must be behind this.
Odie's face darkened as he called out towards the door, "Jonah! Get in here!"
Jonah knew he couldn't keep this a secret for long, but he didn't expect to be caught so soon. He walked into the study, head bowed. "Boss." "What's this about the fish soup?"
"...I noticed you wanted some, so I asked Ms. Sophie to make a batch."
"And you did this in my name?"
"...Yes."
Odie felt a surge of anger but, seeing Sophie nearby, he swallowed the harsh words he was about to unleash. "Get out!"Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
His expression was thunderous as Jonah turned to leave. "You too, out!" Odie added, glaring at Sophie.
Sophie, who hadn't planned on entering, quickly turned and left.
Watching her retreating figure, Odie felt a growing heaviness in his chest. Jonah, almost at the door, couldn't help but speak. "Boss, actually-"
"Shut up! Get out!" Odie barked, not wanting to hear another word.
With no choice, Jonah silently closed the study's door behind him.
**"Where are you, Odie? Get out here!"**
Outside the grand entrance of the Minton estate, Sandy stormed in with an air of authority, followed by a nervous Angelo, who glanced back with every step.
Hearing Sandy's commotion at the Minton doorstep, Angelo's face turned pale. He quickly covered her mouth. "Madam! Can you please keep it down?"
"Do you know where we are? This is
Odie's home! Barging in and
shouting like that-if Odie decial nee
retaliate, we wouldn't even know how we died in Summerfield!"
Sandy, baffled, shrugged off Angelo's hand. "Bro! What are you doing? How else are we supposed to get Odie to come out?"
"You-"
Before Angelo could finish, Odie appeared at the top of the stairs.
Seeing Angelo and Sandy standing defiantly in the hall, Odie's tone was icy. "Ms. Sandy, Mr. Pei, what brings you to my home?"
His cold gaze made Angelo shiver, but Sandy lifted her chin proudly. "Odie, where are you hiding Sophie and Colby? Hand them over, or you'll regret it!"
Angelo gasped, regretting his decision to come with Sandy. If they ended up dead in Summerfield, no one would be there to claim their bodies.
"They're here by their own choice. If you want them to leave with you, you'll have to convince them."
"By their own choice?" Sandy was taken aback. How could it be voluntary? Weren't they kidnapped?
"Um... I think Sophie and Colby being together means they probably weren't kidnapped. Maybe we overthought this, Sandy. We've been in Summerfield for a while now? Maybe it's time to head home. Look, Adler and Jenna have already gone back to Devonport. We should too..."
