Chapter 1256 A Thoughtful Gentleman

Jonathan heaved a deep sigh.

By taking no initiative, he was only putting her in a difficult position.

But he had recently found out something about Jordy’s grandma, which was why he had stopped pressing her.

But after all of this, he would go back on the fright for her. Gloria was set freed from Jordy. Never would he give Jordy a second chance to win her back.

It had been a busy morning for everyone. Jonathan didn’t go pick up Gloria at her office as he knew Gloria did not want him to come.

When he arrived at the agreed place, Gloria and her assistant had been waiting. She nodded at him when Jonathan showed up at the door of the box, “Here you are.”

Jonathan responded with a nod while Gloria’s assistant stood up to salute him, “Hello, Mr. Brown.”

Eaton, Jonathan’s assistant, also greeted Gloria and her assistant with a nod.

‘Why are you here so carly?” Jonathan sat across from Gloria and asked softly.

Gloria raised her eyebrows and replied, “It has been a smooth ride.”

Janice, Gloria’s assistant, took her seat next to Gloria. She did not say anything. She did not have to do anything except for being Gloria’s escort today.

However, she could not help but take a close look at Jonathan. Jonathan had been more easygoing than she expected. Compared with Gloria, he seemed like such a harmless gentleman although she heard that he was a cunning businessman.

His eyes glistened the light of tenderness and fondness when he looked at Gloria. Although it was a room of four, Jonathan saw not Eaton, nor her, but Gloria alone.

Both Janice and Eaton felt they were unwanted in the room.

“Let’s place order.”

Gloria presented the menu to Jonathan. She was implying that the lunch was on her.

Jonathan took it over and said in an unexpected natural tone, “Yeah.”

Even Janice was surprised to see Jonathan accept the menu so spontaneously. Was he going to let Gloria buy the lunch?

Soon, the waiter came in. Jonathan placed the order directly. Janice soon came to an understanding.
