Chapter 6
RITAS POV
My heart rate increased as Alpha Leo approached me. I stopped breathing for a second when he bent down before me to check my ankle.
I
Your bruises are healed. That's good to know. I felt tingles as his fingers brushed over my skin. I liked his fingers on my skin. I wanted those fingers all over my body. I imagined the feeling of his hands on different parts of my body- every single part. No, I should not be feeling this way: Apart from the fact that him being an Alpha made him off limits to a person of my rank, he was my ex-mate's uncle. Tongues will wag if I get involved with him. That was the last thing I wanted. My life was becoming dramatic enough. The last thing I wanted was more drama. ! I had a poker face on and took a few steps backward and he moved forward and to me, his eyes searching mine,
I looked away from him, my eyes dancing around the faces of everyone present. They all had looks of disapproval on their faces, except, of course, Janice. When my eyes locked with hers, she beamed and gave me a thumbs up I heaved a sigh of frustration, looked back at Alpha Leo and feigned a smile. "Thank you for being a good Alpha and for treating your pack member the same you will treat yourself. This is my first time meeting you in person, but I'll forever be grateful and loyal to you." Leo raised an "First time? Why does it feel like we've met before? Everything about you feels oddly familiar." I recalled his words about me stripping last night before him and my checks turned red. He smirked, turned away from me and returned to his initial position beside Sir Martins.
Everyone's eyes were on me. I knew they had one or two things to say about my relationship with Alpha Leo, but they dared not say it with him around. I just looked down at the ground, hoping it would open and swallow me.
The next few hours of training was tortuous. They all thought I was one of Alpha Leo's whores. I could feel his eyes on me and this was doing nothing to help the situation.
Immediately training was over, I searched around for Janice to tell her goodbye before refusing home, but I could not find her. After a few minutes of searching. I had to leave because the stares I was getting were suffocating and when I got to my car, I saw Janice standing beside it waiting for me.
"Janice, I was looking f for you, I pouted, showing my displeasure of her leaving the training ground before me.
"I had to leave just a case Alpha Leo wants to talk to you." Janice had a mischievous grin on her face. "He did, didn't he?"
1 glared at her. "I had to bear the hateful stares I got so I could look for you."
"Girl, don't let those hateful freaks dull your shine.
If only it were that easy. Getting emotionally involved with my ex-mate's uncle was something society will frown on. The lies Taylor and Sebastian were telling were not helping either.
"Drop me home. Someone is using my car."

1 frowned. "We both know you just want to get as much information you can about my relationship with the Alpha. No one is using your car, I scolled and got in
"Time. You've caught me. Now, tell me everything" Janice got into the car with me. "You've met him before today, haven't you?"
"No, I have never seen him before today." I lied. "You all are just reading too much meaning to how he treated me today. T know about the rumors of how cruel he could be and him being nice to me, could only mean he is interested. But, maybe he is only trying to change. I mean, he just volunteered to have a class with us daily, didn't he?" "Boring. Janice booed and looked away.
Janice was the one person I could tell everything about me to and apart from the incident that took place last night with Alpha Leo, she knew everything that went on in my life.
could not b bring myself f to tell her about last night. I wanted nothing to do with the memory and I hoped Alpha Leo would get bored and never bother me again.
what Sebastian did to me, I wanted nothing to do with wolves.
I After All my life. I have always imagined a life with Sebestian. My goal was always to be a good mate to Sebastian. I made sure I learnt to cook well not just because I wanted to, but because I wanted to make sure Sebastian ate good food. My goal was to be as submissive to I Sebastian as Sebastian as I could be
Now, my only goal now is to become a great warrior. A single, beautiful and great female warrior. I smiled to myself. This new goal of mine was definitely better than licking Sebastian's a*** or that of any other wolf. "What if the Alpha is really interested in you?"
For a few seconds, my mind went blank at her question then it flickered to my encounters with Alpha Leo. I liked it when he touched me. I was drunk, but I knew I enjoyed the kiss I had with him last night and I wanted more of it "It's wrong to get into a relationship with an ex-mate's uncle. It's not like it is ever going to happen."
"Wrong? Sebastian cheated on you and when you found out, he was not remorseful. If Alpha Leo is interested, and you want him too, you should go for it. Don't let what others think stop you from getting someone like the Alpha." "I thought you said he was cruel."
"Well not to you." Janice giggled. "So far, he is treating you like a princess. Because of you, he embarrassed his nephew before everyone and he made Taylor apologize to you. If she had not, I'm sure he would have shredded her into small pieces. He just met you today and he is willing to do that much for you. Imagine what he will do when he gets to know more of you. Can't you see what I'm seeing? You have a chance of having the most powerful and richest Alpha wrapped around your finger. You can have whatever you want and I as your best friend will not have to work too hard to enjoy the good things of life
"If that's what you hope for then I'm sorry Janice, but whether you like it or not, you'll have to work hard."
Until I dropped her off, Janice kept on giving me reasons to hit on the Alpha and sincerely speaking, most of the reasons she gave were valid..
When I finally got home, I was greeted by the angry faces of Taylor, my stepmother and my father. They were all seated in the living room. It looked like they were waiting for me to come back.
Confused at what to do, I decided to take the easiest option. I turned my back to leave.
"Where do you think you are going to go?" My stepmother yelled, stopping me in my tracks.
I looked at her. She was on her feet now and before I knew what was happening, she matched toward me and struck me across the face.
