Chapter 8 Angel Duncan
Chapter 8 Angel Duncan
She introduced them to Angel. Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
Angel hid behind Alexia. She was not used to such an occasion. In the eyes of others, she was cute to
be shy.
Alexia held her hand and looked at her with encouragement.
Angel then in Alexia's guiding voice said hello to the others.
She received commendations from the ladies.
Most of them had children. Who would not love such a gentle and well-behaved girl?
She had a good character, and Alexia loved her.
Duncan family had many younger generations, but Alexia had never brought any of them with her,
which showed the importance of Miss Angel in Alexia's heart.
But they didn’t know who her mother was.
Alexia showed Angel around before talking business with her business partner.
She left Angel to play on her own, for there were plenty of amusements for the dons and ladies, and
there was no need to worry about safety, for she had brought Angel because she thought she was poor
in her brother's custody.
Angel could finally catch her breath.
She understood the intention of Alexia, who wanted her to act like a lady from a rich lady.
Angel could not bear the responsibility and this was worried by her aunt.
When passing the mirror in the hallway, Angel looked into her face and smiled. Angel, you must not let
aunt down!
Angel went to get food from the dessert bar and took a seat in the rest area next to the dessert bar.
She had no interest in games. And she could not play crazily.
The angle she had sought was just right for a view of the whole hall, and was concealed by the curtain.
She scooped a mouthful of mousse cake from a small plate and watched the crowd with interest as she
ate it.
In fact, she had reason to feel it was a blind date.
Many of the people were probably here for blind dates.
Angel smiled at the groups of “rich women.”
She knew some of them.
In the past, she had her status after all. Even if she had a shining sister, she always lived in this
extraordinary circle.
Looking at those familiar people, it was a pleasure to recall those people's past.
The footsteps of high-heeled shoes were sounded. It should be a few young ladies come to take
desert.
Angel moved closer in, and hid herself well.
The lace at the edge of the veil staggered the gap and allowed her to see.
In this circle, mostly they were acquaintances. It was Laura walking in the front.
She met her twice in this day, and Angel felt her heart was calm.
Laura in a red dress was wearing a delicate makeup.
She was a beauty, but in the past Belle never paid attention to her clothes and makeup, because she
had a beautiful sister.
Laura, therefore, did not wear makeup either.
Belle thought Laura, like her, was not interested in makeup.
Now it seemed that it was because of her.
Now she was wearing makeup, which should be the real she!
“Well, I heard that Miss Alexia brought a niece over today, but it is not Daisy Duncan. Did you see her?”
Laura asked the person around.
Through the thick drapery Angel could distinctly hear the “whispers” of the ladies.
“Yes, it's not Daisy. She is much prettier than Daisy. She looks a little like Miss Alexia.” Betty Wong, the
daughter from Rongchuang Property answered.
“Really? Which Miss Duncan?” Laura took a sip of the drink passed by the waiter.
Betty nodded. “It's true, Miss Alexia introduced to us. I've never seen her before.”
Laura said with a smile, “I came late, so I did not see her. Are you telling the truth? Is she prettier than
Daisy?”
“What's so strange about being prettier than Daisy? She's not that pretty! In appearance, in
temperament, she is inferior to you!” Gracie Jordan said.
It was curry favor, but Laura was pleased to hear that.
Kiara Jordan, Gracie Jordan's sister knew that Laura did not favor Daisy, “Miss Alexia could not bring
Daisy here. I heard that Miss Alexia disliked Daisy and Leo Duncan.
“Well, her name is Angel Duncan, yes, that's the name!” Betty thought about it carefully.
“Angel Duncan? I have never heard of her. Who is her mother?” Kiara asked.
“Angel Duncan?” Laura's face flashed a trace of shock.
“Oh, now I remember. Daisy has a half sister? That should be the name!” Gracie suddenly raised her
voice.
“What? Daisy's sister?” The others were taken aback.
“She is a half-sister” Laura corrected them.
She thought of the little idiot who hovered around someone like a follower, and she thought of the
delivery woman she had met at the hotel door that afternoon, frowning slightly.
