Angel frowned. "You've got a good student." Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
She wrinkled her little nose and curled her mouth. "It sounds like I'm not good at all."
Hugo said, "Bad girl! I have three students in all these years! One of them has gone and only you two
are left!"
Angel knew who he was talking about.
She showed a smile, “Remember to introduce the senior to me."
Hugo nodded, "Sure, but that boy is not as cute as you. He is cold and busy. He seldom comes to see
me."
He was like complaining about his own son.
Angel laughed. "Didn't you say my brother was like an ice sculpture? Then I let the senior to ask my
elder brother how to please you, OK?"
Hugo was amused by her, "It sounds like I am ridiculers."
Angel joined in the laughter.
"Remember to have dinner in my hours on weekends!" Before leaving, Hugo said to Angel.
Angel nodded as she walked out. "Don't worry, I've got presents for your wife and daughter.”
As Angel stepped out the front door of the office building, she saw a car parked in front of the building.
Anna opened the door and walked out, smiling, "Angel, hello!"
Angel stood on the steps, watching Anna's affectionate smile. The sun shone on her flawless skin,
dazzling.
She gently jumped down the last step, and said, "Hello!"
Anna froze for a moment, and then showed a sad smile, "Angel, don't you remember me? I'm Anna.
Don't you remember Belle?"
Anna had tears in eyes, but as if she had held it back, looking pitiful.
Angel's hands were in her pockets, with nails deeply pinching into her skin.
She looked at Anna, showed a pure and lovely smile, "I'm sorry, I don't remember."
Anna was in a choke. Looking at this beautiful girl, she did not what to say.
Angel, whose eyes were as black as stone, seemed to be able to see into souls. She sighed softly.
"Professor says Belle is dead, but you are still using her for sympathy."
At this moment, a white car pulled up quietly beside them. The driver hurried up and bowed. "Miss," he
said, "Miss Alexia wants me to pick you up.
Angel smiled at Anna, "Excuse me."
She got into the driver's car.
Anna froze on the spot.
"Anna, who the hell is she?" Charles looked at the car leaving with a frown. It seemed to be Alexia's
car?
"Daddy, her name's Angel Duncan. She's the eldest Miss Duncan." Anna’s face became soft.
"The daughter of Frank Duncan?" Charles frowned.
Anna explained, “Do you remember that Angel always played with Belle before? That's her, she's the
eldest Miss Duncan and Daisy is her half sister."
The Duncan was a mess.
Charles frowned deeply when he heard the name of the youngest daughter,.
William was stunned, “But, isn’t that Miss Duncan a retarded?"
Anna nodded, "I heard that Angel was retarded when she was a kid by frightening. Five years ago, at
the time when Belle was in the hospital, she had a car accident. And then she was taken abroad by
Kyle, but he suddenly came back and …"
She became a normal person. Besides, according to Professor Jordan, she had graduated with a PhD.
William said, "She is so young to graduate with a Phd, Kyle must have put a lot of effort on her."
Charles cheered up, "Anna, you go to visit Alexia. That car is Alexia’s. Alexia had a good relationship
with her sister-in-law Isabelle, so naturally she will be nice to this niece. You will have the answer by
contacting with Alexia.
He patted the back of his daughter's hand. "No matter how she got her academic achievements, the
way Professor Jordan treats her shows how much he cares about her. With the help of Professor
Jordan's proud student, you won't have to study too hard these years. Anna, I am very pleased that you
can do what you do today. Don't make yourself so tired."
Anna leaned on Charles’ shoulder, coddling, “Daddy, I am not tired; I just want to help you, so that you
can have some more time to rest. We are father and daughter, and this is what I should do."
Charles fondly caressed his daughter's head.
Sitting on the copilot, William looked back at the father and daughter nestled together and was moved.
Anna was sensible and filial piety. He was lucky to marry such a girl.
"Mr. Newman, you can rest assured that I will take good care of Anna." William promised to Charles.
Charles's eyebrows stretch out and he nodded, "Ok."
For the sake of the Newman family, to help him, Anna delayed the marriage again and again, but
William totally understood her.
William's eyes fell on Anna.
Anna was bashful, lowering her head.
