Chapter 1962
Chapter 1962
......
Sonya quickly retreated from backstage after congratulating her cousin.
She couldn't stay any longer.
Mia didn't put on airs and had a good temper.
She stood there gracefully with a charming face. If they hadn't just seen her performance on the stage, they would have thought that she was just a college girl.
Mia signed autographs for Sonya's cousin and a few other staff members.
The last one waiting for her autograph was a young man.
After she signed on his work card, he rubbed his hands excitedly and said, "I like your violin performance very much. Can I hug you?"
"No!" Someone answered for her.
Desmond rushed backstage and had been waiting aside for a long time.
Hearing the young man's request, he stepped between them, turned around, and pulled Mia aside.
When Mia was playing the violin on the stage, he remembered that he was staring intensely at her like a fool.
Desmond ground his teeth. "Is this the hobby that you talked about?"
Mia looked innocent. "Oh, yes."
Desmond lost his temper when he looked into her pure eyes. "Then why didn't you tell me you're the violin master Strad and would perform tonight?!"
And she had so many fans, especially fanboys.
How could the young man ask for a hug before her husband? How dare he?!
Mia comforted him softly, "But you didn't ask about it in detail."
So, was all this his fault?Desmond was speechless.
Mia explained to him, "When I was little, a master lived in the countryside for some time. He said that I had talent in violin, so he took me in as a disciple. Later, he often took me abroad to perform, and I gradually became the widely-known Strad."
She spoke in a very casual tone.
Others would be madly jealous when they heard how Strad became so famous.
Desmond stroked his chin.
He had seen the violin case in Mia's suitcase, but he didn't take it seriously, for he just considered it as one of her hobbies. She just joined some school club to contact some fashionable art for fun.
So... did he get a treasure by accident?
Desmond only knew that her fantastic violin performance had touched the very depth of his soul.
While they were chatting, someone called out to Desmond, "Hey, Desmond!"
He seemed to be quite familiar with Desmond.
Desmond looked back with a smile.
A young master who looked more careless and casual than him came over. He was also one of the sponsors for this concert. Knowing that Desmond was here tonight, he came over to greet him.
The young master was Shelton Bartram, Desmond's close family friend since childhood.
Shelton put his hands in his pockets. "We haven't hanged out for a long time. I'll call others out to have fun."
Desmond smacked his lips. "Sounds great."
He liked having fun and had enjoyed gatherings of all sizes.
Recently, he had been busy preparing for the wedding and hadn't met his pals for a long time.
With a glance, he saw Mia walking out with the violin in her arms. He reached out and pulled her back. "Where are you going?"
Mia said softly, "Go home."
Desmond took her violin and said, "Let's not go back first. We'll go back after we're done having some fun."
Mia seemed a little surprised. "Do you want to take me with you?"
She had heard what they said. Mia thought men would not like to be disturbed and didn't want their women's accompany, so she considerately planned to go home by herself.
Desmond raised his refined eyebrow. "Or what?" Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
Mia smiled and nodded. "Okay."
Desmond saw her beam with joy. It seemed that she was delighted to join the gathering with friends.
He could easily satisfy her.
Alas, it was all because of his damn charm.
After giving the violin to the driver of the villa, Desmond drove away to the senior club with Mia.
.
This place belonged to Desmond was also their base. There were rooms specially reserved upstairs for their gatherings in their free time.
In addition to Shelton who came with them, many others came. Some brought their girls, and some didn't. In short, it was very lively.
There was a round sofa, a peninsula-like bar in the room. On the left side was an expensive pool table, while on the right side was a karaoke machine. Beyond these things, an indoor golf area was set by the window.
All in all, they could do usual entertainment activities here.
Two people handed Desmond a limited edition cue and asked him to spar with them.
Mia said, "Go ahead. Don't worry about me. I'll watch you play here."
She sat on a high-heeled chair.
Seeing this, Desmond nodded and swaggered over with his cue.
Then, the others found that Desmond took the game very seriously today.
Mia looked at the people at the bar counter. "Shelton."
Since Desmond brought her here, Shelton did not dare to neglect Mia.
"What do you want?" He smiled and said enthusiastically, "If you want to drink something, just tell me. I'm fucking good at mixing wine!"
Desmond was five months older, so Shelton saw him as his elder brother.
Mia blushed slightly.
She coughed with embarrassment and continued, "Have you known Desmond for many years?"
"That's right. We grew up together, and we have a good relationship!" Shelton, sensitive enough, asked, "Do you want to ask something about him?"
Mia was embarrassed.
Nevertheless, since he had seen through her, she no longer tried to hide her intent. "Do you know the relationship between Desmond and Sonya in his company?"
"Sonya? Oh, that popular actress, right?" Shelton seemed to have thought of who she was referring to before answering. He shrugged his shoulders and said, "When Sonya first started her career, there seemed to be some rumors about them, but it was all for the marketing hype. After that, they didn't have much contact with each other! Rest assured, he has never had any affairs with women in his company!"
After hearing this, Mia suddenly saw the light and began to feel relieved.
She squinted and smiled. "Thank you!"
After Desmond finished playing, he walked to the bar and found that Mia's cheeks turned abnormally red.
When he looked closely, her eyes were a little misty.
Seeing him walking over, Mia opened her slightly drunken eyes and said anxiously, "Why can I see two Desmond?"
Her weird behavior silenced Desmond.
He glared darkly at Shelton at the bar counter. "Did you give her a drink?"
Shelton explained bitterly, "It's not my fault!"
Mia asked for a drink.
Shelton showed off his wine-mixing skill and asked what she wanted to drink. Mia said that she wanted something Desmond liked, so Shelton gave her a glass of wine according to Desmond's standard.
Unexpectedly, Mia got drunk so easily.
Nevertheless, Shelton was determined not to take the blame.
Mia blinked her eyes blankly for a long time, but she still felt dizzy and clasped her head.
Desmond bent down and carried her away.
The people in the room called out, "Hey, Desmond, are you leaving?"
Desmond didn't even turn his head. "Yep. We'll go home!"
His wife was so drunk. He was in no vein for having fun.
