When Dustin and I got back to the Wagner family home, Conrad was there too. His face turned dark the moment he saw us, unmistakably upset. Jacqueline, as warm as ever, could hardly contain her joy at seeing me, even wiping away tears as she said, "I've been longing for the day you'd come back to us, dear."
