No Chance of Remarriage: Get Lost

Chapter 2074 Struggle

Chapter 2074 Struggle

“No!” Gareth exclaimed immediately.

Elisa frowned. It was evident that the other person had misunderstood, assuming that she was speaking to the police on the phone.

She couldn’t help but clarify, “Don’t worry. It’s just a call from a friend, not the police.”

It was unclear if the mention of the police had triggered him, but the previously calm jumper suddenly began pounding his chest and stomping his feet, his eyes burning with rage.

“I don’t care about any of that! All I know is, if you want to come over, get rid of your earpiece. Otherwise, I’m going to jump!” he shouted.

Elisa noticed that the person appeared to be wearing a wireless earpiece. It’s possible that someone on the other end of the phone is guiding him.

The person spoke, then stood up, looking as if a gust of wind could knock him over.

The crowd below erupted once again.

“What’s happening? Did the negotiation fall apart?”

“Oh my! I can’t handle this anymore. I can’t bear to see blood. I better leave now…”

“Is Elisa really capable of handling this? Even now, she still refuses to pay? Isn’t this whole mess her fault in the first place? Wouldn’t it all be resolved if she just paid up? These capitalists, I swear… I can’t even find the words to describe them anymore. The wealthier they become, the stingier they get.”

“If she doesn’t pay now and someone ends up dying here later, the company will have to shut down for good! She’s a fool!”

Listening to the crowd’s insults towards Elisa, a woman in the crowd smiled. Excellent. This is exactly the effect I wanted.

Her gaze slowly lifted, fixated on the figure of the person about to jump from the building above. She then murmured, “Jump! Jump! After you’re gone, I want to see how Elisa is going to resolve this situation. You must pay the price.”

Elisa was unaware of this. She simply followed the police’s instructions to do her best to calm the other person’s emotions.

She lowered her voice and said, “I apologize.”

Before Gareth could say anything, Elisa removed her Bluetooth headset, gesturing to the other person. and placed it on the ground.

“Elisa? Elisa! Answer me!” No matter how much Gareth called out, he heard no response from Elisa.

“Kick it further!”

The voice of the jumper came through the phone, followed by a rolling sound. Gareth knew clearly in hist heart that Elisa had thrown the earpiece far away.

His brows furrowed in worry, his heart racing.

Elisa then said. “I’ve done as you asked and discarded the carpiece. Now, can we have a proper conversation?”

Before the jumper could speak, a light rain suddenly began to fall from the sky. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

This indicated that the rooftop would become more slippery, and everything was heading towards a less favorable situation.

Elisa stared at him intently and said, “Listen to me. You have a family, and you have friends, right? Have you ever considered what they would do if you were to die like this? I’ve informed you that I’ve already sent the money. If you haven’t received it, there might be an issue with the bank. It’s not your fault, nor is it mine, so why should you pay with your life for this?”

As Elisa spoke, she moved closer, her tone tinged with a hint of allure.

Els clearly saw a flicker of conflict in the eyes of the person about to jump off the building. No matter what, living is preferable to dying. Even the bravest individuals hesitate when faced with death.

Elisa seized the opportunity presented by his struggle and hesitation.
