Chapter 25 You Belong with Me
“That was close, Jessica. Your plan just failed.”
As Preston showed up, the house yard was packed with bodyguards.
“Preston, how did you find out I’d be here today?”
Jessica looked warily at Preston, who was standing in front of her.
“Jessica, I don’t know what you have done to find this place so fast, but based on what I know about you, you’re a smart woman, and you can be a pain in the neck. So I have to keep an eye on you all the time. I’ve been hiding in the darkness, waiting for you. It turns out that I am right. You really showed up.”
“You’ve seen how Rosa is doing now. She wouldn’t be able to hold it up for long. You can’t provide her with any medication here, nor do you have any doctors should anything happen to her. I’ve tried everything to stop her from vomiting blood just now. Why don’t you wait after I send her to the hospital? Then we can settle what’s between us. Maybe we can find a place, sit down, and talk nicely to each other. Is that alright?”
Jessica stared at Preston with a face. She had to buy as much time for Rosa as possible.
“Are you still trying to trick me? I can have Rosa escorted to a medical institution for treatment and care, but… You have to stay here. I never agree on uncertain things. Moreover, you’re a very tricky person. We need to complete our agreement as soon as we can! You belong with me!”
Preston grinned a smile. His bright eyes were charming. After waiting for quite a while, he lost patience and motioned his bodyguards to take Rosa away first.
The bodyguard stepped forward and took away Rosa forcefully to the car parked outside the yard.
Jessica frowned at this, but she didn’t have a choice. To save Rosa, she needed to stall Preston first.
“Jessica, you’re destined to be mine!”
Bang!
Preston grabbed Jessica and dragged her into the hut. After a huge sound, the door was kicked closed, and Preston threw Jessica heavily onto the bed.
Jessica bumped her head when being thrown. She head was spinning.
Preston couldn’t wait to press her down. She grabbed Jessica’s collar and ripped it abruptly.
“You’ve got a yard of bodyguard outside. I won’t be able to flee no matter how strong I am. Don’t be so rough. You just bumped my head on the bed.”
Jessica took a deep breath and tried her best to calm down. She knew she couldn’t be panic, because that would only put her in more danger.
“Jessica, you know I still have a place for you in my heart. So don’t play with me. You knew the power gap between men and women. I don’t want to accidentally scratch your beautiful face.
In the depth of Preston’s heart, he still had obsessions for Jessica. Seeing she got rarely gentle, Preston let off his guards and gradually loosened his grip. He let go of her.
“Since I’m destined to be your woman, why are you in such a hurry?”
Jessica’s words scratched Preston’s heart like a kitten. Her slender hands slowly raised, and her face turned rosy out of shyness.
Preston couldn’t move his eyes away from Jessica’s shy but charming face. A sentence kept echoing in his mind.
“This woman is destined to be mine!”
“Jessica is destined to be mine!”
For all these years, women came and went in his life, some sweet and some coquettish, including Juliette. However, every time he got sentimental, he just couldn’t get Jessica’s figure out of his mind. It happened every time.
Preston raised his hand and wanted to take the red fox mask off.
Just as Preston’s hand was about to touch the mask, a cold light flashed in Jessica’s eyes. Her wrist twisted, and she took out a special silver needle.
“You should really behave yourself, Jessica. I know your little tricks more than anyone does. Don’t put up futile struggles.
Preston’s face was distorted. He gripped her wrist hard.
“Do you really think so?”
Jessica grinned an ironic smile.
Before Preston could react, Jessica lifted her high heels and kicked hard on Preston’s manhood.
“Oow!”
Preston groaned. Tears came to his eyes.
Jessica used all her strength to shove Preston away, and dashed towards the door.
“Jessica! You’re wearing out my patience again and again! Do you really think I wouldn’t go rough on you? I don’t care who you’re married to! You’ll eventually be my woman!’
Preston’s face was twisted in jealousy and anger. He wouldn’t allow anyone to replace his possession over Jessica!
Even if he died someday, he would bring Jessica with him in hell!
Thinking of that, Preston caught up with Jessica despite the severe pain. He pulled her back in his arms roughly, regardless of her feelings, and started to kiss her like mad.
The power gap between them made it almost impossible for Jessica to push Preston away.
This man has completely lost his sanity. He was a total lunatic now!
As long as Jessica thought of the dirty tricks and the slander that Preston had brought her, she only wished that she had never seen this man before.
Brother Preston from the old-time had been long gone. What was left of his was sheer insanity.
“Preston, you’re crazy! Let me go! Get your hands off me!”
Bang!
Crack!
With a loud bang, the door was kicked open from the outside. Then it was slammed heavily on the floor and cracked into pieces.
“Let her go!”
In the clattering sound of the door shatters. A horrifying scold came from the door.
Jessica subconsciously looked at the door. She saw a tall figure standing in the light. He must’ve traveled a long way to get here, she thought.
It was Lorenzo.
Lorenzo was in an haute couture gray suit inside with a black overcoat outside. His hair was as tidy as always, and every move he made looked noble and graceful.
He gave out an overwhelming aura, like an ancient emperor worshiped by thousands of his subjects.
Preston’s eyes went bloodshot. His hands were still on where he tried to rip Jessica’s clothes. Eyes cold, he looked at Lorenzo at the door. The guy had disturbed his wonderful night. Preston narrowed his eyes and made sure he didn’t know who that was. He was curious about what kind of people would dare to offend him.
Lorenzo’s eyes became as cold as ice when he saw Preston’s hand on Jessica. The murderous intention in Lorenzo’s eyes frightened Preston, and he subconsciously let go of his hand.
“Dude, I’ve got rid of all the trashes in the yard. I’ll just… Oops… Excuse me! I didn’t see anything!”
Lucian stretched his muscles and looked as happy as a child. He was here to take credits, yet only to be scared in the middle of his sentence. He didn’t dare to watch Jessica because her clothing was disheveled. So he turned over hastily.
Lucian was the young master of the Dawson family, one of the four privileged families. He was famous for being quick-tempered. Almost everyone in Ameriart knew his name.
“You’ve got plenty of women with you, Mr. Saunder. Now that her husband is here, I think you’d better let go of Mrs. Jessica Armstrong, so that this won’t get uglier. A wise man always submits to his fate and never puts on meaningless fights. Am I right?”
A man’s drawling voice came into the room. It was Felix. He dusted himself up and strode gracefully into the room. He then raised his eyes and looked at Preston.
Preston never thought that Felix would show up.
Felix had been appointed as the next patriarch of his family. Even the major media in Ameriart didn’t have the chance to interview him. Preston really wondered why he would be here in this remote place.
Although Preston and Felix were both born into wealthy families, their family situations differed greatly. Preston’s family wasn’t a match for Felix’s, which made Preston suddenly feel frightened, yet he still tried to recall when he had offended Felix.
Preston had seen two people from the four privileged families of Ameriart at once tonight. Now he couldn’t help wondering who was the one that kicked the door open.
Lorenzo didn’t even bother to talk to Preston, because Preston was too lowly for him to care about. Lorenzo moved his long legs and walked directly to Jessica.
Jessica was stunned to see Lorenzo here.
Jessica was perplexed. Thinking of how Lorenzo saw her in the arms of a man with her clothing disheveled, Jessica immediately blushed. She lowered her eyes to avoid his gaze.
Then she curled up and huddled herself to prevent others from seeing through her ripped clothes.
“Does he know whose woman you are, hum?”
Lorenzo asked with his gravel and low voice. His eyes stopped on Jessica, who looked more than ashamed.
Jessica knew she was in trouble, so she didn’t dare speak and could only keep her head lower.Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
Lorenzo didn’t say anything. He took off his coat and put it on Jessica. Then he picked her up by the waist and left without looking back.
Preston had been stunned by Lorenzo’s aura. He couldn’t believe someone had spoken so presumptuously before Jessica and Felix. The only possibility was that the three people seemed to know each other.
Besides, judging from the man’s temperament, he was by no means an ordinary person.
“What’s your name?”
Preston couldn’t help wondering who the man really was. If he died here today, he had to know who killed him.
“You just have to know that Jessica is my woman. Next time this happens, you’ll regret knowing who I am.”
Lorenzo didn’t even stop by Preston. His voice was as cold as ice. Soon, he and Jessica disappeared from Preston’s sight.
Lorenzo’s condescending and unruly looks reminded Preston of a name.
Preston realized that the person might be the Mars of Commercial Wars, Lorenzo.
“That’s impossible!” Preston murmured.
Jessica had only returned from abroad recently, and she had been married to a man who had cancer. Preston was sure that she had no chance to meet such a noble man standing on the top of the social class pyramid.
However, he still needed a reason because Felix and Lucian just showed up here at the same time and forced him to let go of Jessica.
Preston then thought of the car sent by Claus Kagel Restaurant…
Suddenly, Preston’s head buzzed, and his mind went blank. He stood frozen.
“Well… Thank you… But I still need to get Rosa.”
Jessica said as she was put in the car by Lorenzo in his arms. She had been too shocked to remember Rosa. She was afraid that Preston still had Rosa with him now.
“I’ve sent her to the ICU in the hospital.”
Jessica looked up at Lorenzo. They had each other’s reflections in their eyes.
