Never

Lina had rushed back after a long journey, coming straight to the hotel to find Linda as soon as her flight. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

landed.

“You didn’t have to rush over like this,” Linda said as she opened the door and saw Lina

suitcase.

still holding her

Lina went inside, sat on the couch, and downed a bottle of water in one go. “Wendy’s message sounded urgent. I thought you were in a hurry to meet me.”

“It was urgent before, but not so much now,” Linda said truthfully.

But Lina didn’t believe her. “If you can handle it, you wouldn’t have called me.

Lina knew Linda wouldn’t bother anyone unless it was her last resort.

“I’ve been keeping an eye on things online.”

Linda wasn’t surprised. As a manager, Lina would naturally pay attention to online news.

Besides being the head of YK Media’s talent department and a top-notch manager, she was also Linda’s agent. To be more precise, she was the agent of up–and–coming director Amber F.

“Just do as I said before.”

Lina frowned. “Do you want to boil the frog slowly?”

“We can only catch the big fish if we go deeper into the water, right?”

Lina understood. “But you’ll have to face it eventually.”

“I’ll cross that bridge when I get there.”

Lina changed the topic. “When do you plan to bring James and Lexi back?”

“Once the situation here with her father and I is under control.”

Bringing the child back now would risk Tom targeting her. They were a family with no morals.

Lexi was the child Linda and Samson had been protecting. She couldn’t come back just to be used as a weakness against them. Linda wouldn’t allow her child to get hurt.

“You’re her mother. It’s your call.”

After sending Lina off, YK Media released the post that Linda approved.

They issued a detailed response to Lucy’s tearful statement to the media in the morning. They also officially announced Linda’s position as YK Media’s vice president.

The people online were buzzing with discussions.

People dug up photos of Linda with Samson, YK Media’s president, out and about in Usna. There was also a blurry video from four years ago, showing Samson carrying a dying Linda out of the Wilson residence

They began to speculate about the relationship between Linda and Samson.

Linda ignored it, letting the public find the clues. Samson was well aware of her plan and naturally didn’t

care about it, either..

On the third day since the incident, Linda and Samson met at his villa. It wasn’t regarding the ongoing events, but because Lexi wanted to see her parents.

Lexi was over two years old, which was a very active age. Having never been separated from her parents since birth, she felt uneasy being apart from them.

James Pope held Lexi as they video–called Linda and Samson.

“Mr. Lynch, when can Lexi and I return to Osmo?” He couldn’t take it much longer.

“Mommy, Daddy, I miss you,” Lexi also said in a sweet voice.

The fair–skinned little girl had an abnormal blush on her face and a fever patch on her forehead. The sight made Samson’s heart ache.

“Be good, sweetheart. Mommy and Daddy will bring you back soon. Stay with Uncle James at home and

wait for us, okay?”

Linda felt heartbroken, too. “Lexi, Mommy never lies to you, right?”

Lexi nodded. “Mommy loves me the most.”

“So, be good and wait for Mommy and Daddy to finish things here then come and get you, okay?”

Lexi thought for a moment and nodded. “Okay. I’ll wait for you to come get me, Mommy.” Looking at Lexi in the video, Linda couldn’t help but think of the child she had lost before.
