Chapter 294
Chapter 294
‘Maybe next time,” Sydney forced a smile, “I’m not feeling great today.”
Celeste said with faux regret, “That’s a bummer.”
Although she said it was a bummer, her face didn’t show it at all.
Sydney knew that if she stayed, she’d embarrass herself, so she found an excuse to change clothes and left.
Celeste shook her head, thinking that Sydney missed her chance. If she had played one more song, she would’ve embarrassed herself.
When she happily returned to Liam’s side, Nicolas came over to praise her, “Celeste, you’re amazing! I didn’t expect you to be so good at piano.”
Celeste pretended to be modest, “It’s alright, I haven’t practiced in a long time, so I felt a bit rusty.”
“Rusty? But you still played so well. Your fundamentals on piano must be really solid.”
“Celeste, can you play “Por una Cabeza?”
“Por una Cabeza‘ is way easier than ‘Croatian Rhapsody“.”
Liam coughed lightly, glancing at Celeste.
Celeste didn’t realize Liam was hinting at her and continued, “This is like a beginners‘ piece, anyone who can play the piano can play it.”
Nicolas‘ eyes sparkled, “Can you play ‘Por una Cabeza‘ for me? I just saw a girl I like, and I want to ask her to dance.”
Celeste coughed, “Isn’t there someone playing the violin here? This piece would sound better with violin.”
“They’re not as cool as you, Celeste. My chances of getting a girlfriend depend on you!”
Celeste could barely play ‘Por una Cabeza‘ by following the sheet music.
She looked to Liam for help, but he just stared at her without talking. Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org
Celeste stopped talking and playfully hooked Liam’s hand.
Seeing her act like a cute little puppy, Liam finally softened, “If you want to hook up with someone, don’t involve us. We can’t handle it.”
Nicolas argued, “How do you know I’m looking for someone to hook up but not an actual girlfriend?”
“Have any of your relationships lasted more than three months?” Liam coldly glanced at him, “After we help you get the girl, you will break up and disappear, then what if she comes looking for us?”
Nicolas was speechless and struggled to say, “I also want to find someone to settle down. I just haven’t met the right person yet.”
After sighing, he asked Celeste, “Don’t you have any single friends? I’m not picky.”
Before Liam could speak, Celeste bluntly said, “Mr. Francis, with your track record of ex–girlfriends, you could form a soccer team. Even if I had a lot of friends, I wouldn’t dare introduce them to you.”
Liam was kind of satisfied that Celeste was just as blunt as he was.
They were a perfect match!
Liam pinched her waist, signaling her to stop with his eyes.
Celeste finally quieted down.
After Nicolas left, Liam spoke, “Don’t brag too much, aren’t you afraid of being exposed and embarrassed?”
Celeste responded with a smile, “So what! As long as I’m with you, you’re the one who’ll be embarrassed.”
Liam had nothing to say.
