My Past is Just Prologue (Janet and Nathaniel)

Chapter 260

Chapter 260 Then Don’t Blame Her

It had been a while since she dealt with her work last time. There were a lot

of emails piled up in her inbox. In fact, before Janet went abroad, she had

arranged most of the company’s affairs. To be on the safe side, she also

thought about who should be responsible for each section of the company if

something happened to her.

Janet smiled bitterly. It seemed that she wasn’t overthinking. ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

The Longfellow Group had Geordie holding down the fort for her. Ann was keeping an eye on the proje

cts. Conrad definitely wouldn’t have the opportunity to do anything. Janet did not have to worry about a

nything at all.

Janet simply looked at a few work reports sent by Marco. She typed on the keyboard quickly to get the

answers to Marco’s questions, instructing him

how to solve them.

After two hours of work, she stretched herself. Just as she was about to turn

the laptop off, a new email popped out.

It was an email from Peaceral Jewelry.

Janet frowned slightly and opened the email.

Peaceral Jewelry had always been operating well. In order to not let others

know that she was the legal person of the company, Janet rarely directly

managed the company’s affairs. Her assistant would regularly arrange

documents to report to her.

It was not the time to report yet. Did something happen?

As she read the email, her expression became more and more serious.

In the end, a mocking sneer appeared on Janet’s lips.

Get Bo

She knew that there would always be someone who wanted to get a share of

her jewelry company’s development.

However, she hadn’t expected that Nathaniel would be so greedy, wanting to

discuss the acquisition in the first place!

But it made sense. The Webster Group had never been involved in the

jewelry business. If Nathaniel wanted to have a profit, starting from the

beginning would be too slow for him. Acquisitions would be the best way.

However, he stepped into her territory, so he couldn’t blame her for being

ruthless!

Janet chuckled and leaned back on the bed in a composed manner. She

quickly sent an email to her assistant.

After dealing with her work and replying to the email, Janet felt refreshed.

Even the wound on her abdomen was no longer painful.

She put away the laptop and fell asleep peacefully.

The next morning, Janet, who was in a good mood, was eating breakfast.

Then, Donahue came.

As soon as Donahue came in, he noticed that Janet looked much better.

There was a smile in his eyes. “You look better than yesterday.”

Thinking of the email that she replied to last night, Janet smiled.

But she couldn’t let Donahue know that she had hidden her laptop, so she

smiled to smooth it over and quickly changed the topic, “Donahue, why are

you coming to see me so early?”

Donahue winked at his assistant behind him. His assistant immediately stepped forward and placed thr

ee black velvet boxes on the table in front of

Janet.

Get Bo

Janet was attracted and asked while opening one of them, “What are these?”

Donahue remained silent.

As soon as the box was opened, Janet’s eyes widened and she couldn’t help

but exclaim, “It’s…”

Inside the box she opened, there was a morganite, which was very dazzling.

It wasn’t small, and it was about five or six carats.

She impatiently opened the other two boxes.

The remaining two boxes were also filled with gorgeous gems. One had a fancy vivid blue diamond that

was at least ten carats, and the other had five

small red diamonds. Each of them was about three carats.

Janet was used to seeing these things, but these gems had extremely good

qualities. She couldn’t help but exclaim, “So beautiful! Donahue, are these all

for me?”

“Of course.” Donahue couldn’t help but stroke her head when he saw the cute.

greedy look in her eyes. “These are the best among the new batch from the

mine. I prepared them to congratulate you on winning the championship.

There will be more later. I’ll ask someone to mail them to you. If you like.

them, keep them.”

Janet looked at the gems in the three boxes and felt touched, but she didn’t

really want them.

She only kept the box with red diamonds and pushed the other two back.

“The morganite and the fancy vivid blue diamond are too precious.” Janet looked at Donahue, feeling to

uched. “I asked you for gems for the company’s products for the next quarter. I don’t need such preciou

s ones. I appreciate what you’re willing to offer me! I happen to need some good red diamonds,

so I will keep this box.”

Donahue glanced at her helplessly. “I’m a man and I don’t need gems.”

Janet thought for a while and smiled maliciously, “You can save them for your future wife! Donahue, if y

ou give all the good–quality gems from the

mine to me, your future wife will have none.”

Donahue was stunned by Janet’s teasing.

A petite figure appeared in his mind.

However, it was only for a moment. He quickly

came back to his senses and said, “The mine was opened

for you. It’s useless if you don’t need it. It’s better to change it to a garbage recycling station.”

Janet suddenly didn’t know what to say.

She keenly captured Donahue’s absent–

mindedness just now. However, if Donahue didn’t want to tell her anything, she would not be able to kn

ow

anything.

“Alright, little girl.” Donahue raised an eyebrow, handsome and attractive.

“Keep these. Don’t worry about others.”

Janet nodded. “Alright! But I still want a sister–in–law. Donahue, remember to find her quickly!”

Donahue smiled but did not say anything.

Sister–in–law…
