Chapter 32
Chapter 32
Chapter 32 Crooked Plot “Really? That’s great! This time, I’m really going to show Christopher who’s the boss,” Jared said loudly
and enthusiastically at the sound of the news.
“Hey, remember our main goal. Forget about Christopher for now. This is about getting our hands on
the collaboration project with Centurion Corporation. How have your discussions with Mr. Davis been
going? Keep the negotiation up. Take him down no matter how much money it takes,” Harold said in a
low voice.
…
That afternoon, Christopher was reading one of his medical books in the garage.
Suddenly, his phone rang. He picked it up to check and saw Dennis’ name on the screen. Hurriedly
picking it up, he said, “Hi, Mr. Hubbard.”
“Lupine has collected the medicine,” Dennis said by way of a reply.
Christopher could hear the smile in his voice and nod. Lupine had probably rushed off and was on his
way by then, since the quantity of antidotes and medicine that Christopher had made was more than
sufficient to aid them. Hence, it should not be a problem for them to catch the drug lord.
“By the way, Mr. Yaeger, news just got in that Jared is currently having a drink with someone from
Centurion Corporation,” Dennis said in a lower voice.
“He’s probably there to discuss a collaboration on the development of Dragon Valley,” Christopher said
coldly.
Jared wouldn’t get to collaborate with Centurion Corporation even in his wildest dreams.
“Yes, exactly. Jared is meeting with Daniel, and he wants to get his hands on a project with Centurion Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
Corporation. He even bribed Daniel with one million. My guess is that he’ll wring those pieces of land
you have completely dry once he gets the project,” Dennis continued.
“Wow, this is really getting interesting. It seems like he’s totally confident. He probably would never
expect that I’m the boss of Centurion Corporation, would he? Don’t worry about this anymore, Mr.
Hubbard. Since he wants to play his little games with me so badly, I’ll play with him,” Christopher said
coldly as his eyes gleamed.
Dennis also scoffed. Compared to Christopher, Jared was basically a mere ant.
One of them was just a dandy who rode on his dad’s coattails while the other was the strongest soldier
in recent history who had lived through many life-and-death experiences. They were basically not
comparable in the slightest.
After chatting a little bit more with Dennis, Christopher hung up the phone. He arranged his thoughts
and then made another phone call, this time to Diane.
She picked up instantly when she saw that it was a call from Christopher. “Hello, Mr. Yaeger. What
could I help you with?”
“Ms. Reed, I need your help with some things!” Christopher said with a smile.
“What might that be, Mr. Yaeger?” Diane replied quickly.
“I just heard that Jared has met up with one of your subordinates, Daniel Davis. He also bribed him in
an effort to collaborate with Centurion Corporation.”
Diane naturally knew about Christopher’s true identity and also knew about Jared having it out for
Christopher. She instantly said, “Relax, Mr. Yaeger. I’ll get him fired immediately.”
“No, Ms. Reed. That’s not what I meant. Not only do I want you to keep Mr. Davis in the company, but I
also want you to put him in charge of this project. Also, please send someone over to me and help me
come up with a request for collaboration as well,” Christopher said with a smile.
“What are you up to, Mr. Yaeger?” Diane asked in confusion.
“I’m going to take part as well!”
