Chapter 1574: Reversal
Chapter 1574: Reversal
Camille immediately spoke up, "Mom, are you busy?"
"Not at all!" she asked, "Why are you calling me at this hour? Do you miss me?"
Talia joked and the conversation was very relaxed.
Camille continued, "Yes, I miss you. When will you be back?"
"Do you miss me that much? Is it because you can't handle Timmy and need my help?" Talia jokingly asked.
Camille didn't deny it and simply agreed, "Yes, because we need you so much. When will you be back?"
"I'm already on my way back. We'll be able to meet in just one more hour!"
Talia looked outside and then told Camille where she was. She asked Camille, "Shall we have dinner together tonight when I come back? Or should we go out to eat?" Talia's return was certainly good news. As long as Talia returned, the issues between Ayan and Fletcher would be resolved.
Camille quickly said, "Let's have dinner at home. It's been a long time since I've had a meal at home."
"Okay, let's have dinner at home."
"Sure, let Dad and Ayan know too!"
"Why don't you tell them yourself?" Talia asked casually.
Camille replied, "I had an argument with him, so I don't want to call him."
Talia didn't think much of Camille's words, considering it a simple disagreement between the two.
Talia promised Camille that she would call Ayan and ask him to come back for dinner. After a few more conversations about Timmy, they ended the call.
Now that Camille had settled things with Talia, she didn't need to find Ayan anymore. She had initially thought Talia hadn't returned yet, so she needed to go to the old Simpson's place and ask the old Simpson to mediate their father-son relationship.
Even if there were disputes over work, there shouldn't be any barriers. The father and son had always had a good relationship, and Camille knew it best.
As for the company's affairs that were causing a stir, neither Talia nor the old Simpson paid any attention to them because they were accustomed to such matters.
A company is not considered a company without any public opinion. A good company is one that can handle public opinion effectively.
Camille didn't want to go back to the company after leaving, so she drove back to Franklin Bay.
Timmy was at home, and she could spend some time with him by coming back early.
She hadn't inquired about what was going on with Ayan, thinking that she would find out when she went to the Simpson's mansion for dinner in the evening.
Around five o'clock, Camille finished getting ready and set off with Timmy for the Simpson's mansion. Since Timmy was with her, she didn't drive but asked the driver to take them to the Simpson's mansion. Camille arrived at the Simpson's mansion earlier than Talia, but their arrivals were close together. Even the housekeeper said, "Did you two plan this?"
Camille and Talia exchanged a smile and said almost simultaneously, "Yes, we share a deep connection!"
Their synchronicity happened very often because they understood each other so well that they sometimes spoke in the same way.
It was probably fate. Aria would jokingly say that Talia was probably adopted when she saw this.
Talia was back, and Timmy hadn't seen her for several days, so he clung to her and didn't want to let go.
Talia gently pinched Timmy's cheeks and said, "I thought you'd forget about your grandma once you have a mom!"
"Of course not! We love grandma the most, right?" Camille took over and said.
Talia smiled happily, holding Timmy lovingly. Ayan and Aria never received such treatment when they were young, but now they loved Timmy across generations and cared for him deeply. Ayan and Fletcher returned to the Simpson's mansion half an hour later.
They arrived in their cars, one after the other.
Upon hearing the sound of the cars, Talia and Camille immediately got up and walked toward the door, fearing that the father and son would start a fight as soon as they got out of the car.
Camille and Talia reached the door at the same time, creating a bit of commotion that made Fletcher and Ayan instinctively look over.
They saw the father and son just getting out of the car, and their emotions seemed to be fine. Talia immediately spoke up, "You're back! Come inside and eat, we're all hungry and have been waiting for you for so long!"
After finishing her sentence, Talia gave Camille a look, signaling her to go find Ayan while she went to find Fletcher - each person taking care of one.
Talia had already walked toward Fletcher, holding his arm, showing Camille how it's done. She continued to talk to Fletcher while walking into the house.
Camille called out "Dad" and then
walked toward Ayan. They were going to have dinner at the
Simpson's mansion tonight, so Ayan naturally knew Camille would be there There was no longer the
intimacy they used to have between them. Instead, there was a kind of awkwardness covered by a thin veil.
Now only the two of them were left in the garage, and their gazes naturally met.
Camille pursed her lips, not wanting to think about the issues between them. Tonight, she was only here to deal with the matters between Ayan and Fletcher. So she took the initiative and said, "Did you have an argument with Dad?"
Ayan didn't say anything, but his expression became somewhat gloomy, and Camille took it as confirmation.
Camille had already walked up to him, and she continued, "Is it because of the trending topic today? If you and Dad have different opinions, just talk it out. Don't argue with him, okay?" Camille stared at him without blinking.
Only then did Ayan speak slowly, "You care about the relationship between Dad and me?"
"Of course. Dad is great and treats us very well. Don't let work affect your father-son relationship!"
"So, I'm not good enough?" Ayan squinted at Camille, his voice naturally carrying a hint of questioning and coldness. His tone unintentionally took on a touch of interrogative flavor.
This caught Camille off guard, but she quickly responded, "I didn't mean that."
Ayan continued, "If I'm good enough, why have you been indifferent
towards me lately? If I'm good enough, why haven't you called me all night? He bombarded Camille with one question after another leaving her bewildered. After he finished speaking, he glanced at Camille indifferently, the without waiting for her response, he said, "Go inside!"
After that, he walked past Camille and headed towards the house. Camille, seeing this, instinctively reached out and grabbed his arm, her gaze fixed on Ayan. Her voice was low and hoarse, "What do you mean?"
Was he implying that she thought he wasn't good enough?
How could he twist things like this?
Clearly, it was him intentionally ignoring her, wasn't it?
Camille sighed helplessly, her face showing a mix of resignation and helplessness.
Camille's emotions were already on
the verge of exploding, but she had
been restraining herself, constantly telling herself that the current location and timing were not suitable, so it would be better to nothing and wait. Wait until both of their emotions had calmed down before discussing their issues. Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.
