Jack’s bodyguards walked toward Dustin.
Before Jack took over the family business, he was an arrogant, no–good piece of trash who relied on his family’s power to boss people around.
He hired the two bodyguards and offered them a very high salary. Over the years, they helped him deal with plenty of people who offended him.
Jack had no respect for a mere assistant like Dustin. After he ordered his bodyguards, he did not bother looking at him again.
He picked up his wine glass and took a sip, but before he swallowed…
Bam! Bam!
He heard two dull thuds.
He smirked and looked up but was stunned into silence.
His two bodyguards had landed heavily on either side of the couch.
“What?” Jack frowned and looked at Dustin in surprise. Then, with a dark face, he said, “Ha! I must admit you’re pretty good.”
He set down his wine glass and said nonchalantly, “Do you know who I am? If you don’t, ask Simone.
“All those who offend me end up in two ways. Either they break their own limbs to make it up to me, or… Ha!” He glared at Dustin. “My friends from various gangs help me take down at least a dozen
people.”
Dustin raised an eyebrow. So, he was being cocky because he had connections with gangs?
“In ten seconds, I don’t want to see you standing here,” Jack said coldly. He flung his wine glass on the floor, and it shattered into pieces. Then, he pointed at the shards. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
The implication was clear: he wanted Dustin to kneel on the shards of glass and apologize to him.
Dustin smiled mockingly and took a few steps forward.
Jack thought that Dustin wanted to apologize to him, so he said aggressively, “If your knees don’t bleed from it, I’m not accepting your apology, you ignorant b*stard!”
Dustin kicked, and the sofa flipped over. Jack was flung into the air before he crashed onto the floor.
“Ahh!” He roared with his face twisted in rage. “You b*stard! Do you want to die that badly?!”
“You’re the one who has a death wish!” Dustin had a murderous look on his face.
Chills spread down Jack’s spine, and he was terrified.
Who exactly was Simone’s assistant?
Why did this person look more terrifying than the gang leaders he had met before?
“Dustin!” Simone cried out.
She was worried that Dustin would kill Jack and ruin his own future.
“Jack is the chosen heir of the Zimmer family. If anything happens to him, the Zimmer family will go berserk!” Simone said anxiously.
“She’s right! If you hurt me, the Zimmer family will take their revenge! When that happens, you won’t be the only one who’ll get hurt. Simone will be done for!” Jack cackled and threatened him. “If you have any sense at all, you’ll immediately–Cough!”
Before Jack could finish, Dustin stomped down on his chest and made him cough up a mouthful of blood.
He could not believe it.
Had Dustin lost his mind?
Was he really not worried about the Zimmer family’s vengeance?
Simone sighed in resignation.
She knew what sort of person Dustin was. Jack just had to provoke him repeatedly. Even if she wanted to save him, she could not.
“You…” Jack pointed at Dustin. His face was pale with rage.
“Who ordered you to do this?” Dustin asked icily.
“Ha!” Jack endured the pain and sneered mockingly. “Who ordered me? You look down on us! No one in Rivenesco would dare order my family around.”
Dustin pressed his foot down, and Jack was unable to breathe.
“Wrong answer,” he said coldly.
“You have a death wish!” said Jack stubbornly as he argued with Dustin.
Dustin’s face turned icy, and he stomped down on Jack’s arm.
