Mummy, Daddy is on his knees

Olivia was left puzzled by what Jonah just said, how could he think like that? or was she missing something here?

“What did you want to talk about?” Jonah inquired with a raised brow, for some reasons he always had this impression that Bianca had a crush on him..

“You saw a man across the street few days ago?” she asked to receive a nod from him, he stared at her skeptically wondering what was wrong with her strange behavior..

Bianca took in a deep breath, okay, that could be anybody and not Damien Sterling right? and then her mind drifted back to a few hours ago where she had had an encounter with him..

“Oh geez.. there’s a big problem” She mumbled to herself which didn’t miss Jonah’s ears..

“Is something wrong?”

Bianca shook her head slowly “Whatever you do, don’t bring this up in front of Olivia”

Later that night….

Damien walked into his usually quiet home with a smile smile on his face, today went smoothly for him right after Olivia left..

Maybe he didn’t notice earlier on, but she was the one who has been ruining his day with her endless tantrums..

“With the glow on your face, I’m sure you’re proud of what you’ve done”

He was a bit startled by the voice, he turned back to the couch he just walked past and he could swear that he saw Olivia’s face..

“You?!”

“Were you expecting someone else?”

He blinked his eyes several times and that was when he saw his mum’s angry face glaring at him, by the look on her face, she must have found out about what he did..

But why the hell did he just see Olivia in place of his mum? he sighed, maybe it was because she has been a lot of trouble to him lately..

“Mum.. it’s you”

Anita placed her phone on the sofa as she stood up to her feet, she walked around the sofa and came to stand in front of him..

“You fired her Damien? after everything I told you, you went against my orders”

Damien took in a deep breath and gave a small nod..

Anita’s eyes teared up which Damien saw coming, she suddenly sat on the ground sobbing..

“Nobody listens to me, not even you.. because you’ve grown up you feel like you can treat your mum anyhow you want..”

He was left speechless, okay, he knew about his mum’s frequent emotional blackmail but this one was a little bit too much, he cursed himself so much for having a soft spot for ladies who were shedding tears..

“Come on mum.. she’s not worth your tears”

Anita stood up to her feet “Well I see you don’t need a mum anymore.. let me just end it all”

Damien’s hands went to his temples, how come he was the only one who fell for her blackmails? Alexa and his dad doesn’t even spare her a glance whenever she does this in front of them..

“Okay fine! mum! what do you want me to do?! she already quitted her job..”

Anita’s face turned serious once more “Well.. go get her back, and if she doesn’t return back, then…

She clutched her chest gasping for air, Damien rolled his eyes, she was fond of doing this to him every time..

“Mum! that’s outrageous!” he blurted out in denial, that was almost the same as asking for her forgiveness and if he ever did that, he wouldn’t hear the end of it from Olivia..

Her face scrunched ready to let out another cry but Damien beat her to it, he didn’t want to listen to her cries anymore..

“Fine! as you wish!”

Anita’s face brightened up when she heard his words..

“Okay, I made dinner for you.. and please don’t stay up so late.. love you son” She remarked and planted a soft kiss on his forehead..

After she was gone, he gritted his teeth in annoyance as the thought of him kneeling and begging Olivia crossed his mind..

“Nope!”

Kelvin sat next to his mum on the bed after she had chosen to ignore him all through out today, she didn’t even feed him his lunch or supper..

“Mummy.. are you still mad at me? but I already apologized to you.. I’m sorry okay”

Olivia snapped her gaze elsewhere, she was finding it really hard to stay upset with him, this was the longest she had stayed without talking to him..

He suddenly embraced her and her last restraint was broken, she planted a kiss on his forehead and wrapped her hand around his small frame..

“Baby.. I missed talking to you too.. but you have to promise me that you won’t do that again, you got mummy worried”

Kelvin nodded his head with a mischievous grin his mum failed to see, of course he knew that he was only getting started..

“I promise”

Kelvin suddenly recalled something and looked up to her..

“Mummy guess what?”

Olivia tapped her chin gently “Umm.. you saw Superman?”

Kelvin chuckled and shook his head slowly “No mummy, I saw daddy today..”

The smile on Olivia’s face freezed, he saw who? and what daddy?

“What are you saying baby?”

Kelvin held her face in his small hands, his eyes shone in delight as he recalled his encounter with the man earlier today..

“yes, believe me.. aunt also saw him too, he was tall and very handsome, I even gave him your photo”

Olivia’s eyes went wide, what? how could he just hand a total stranger her photo..

“my photo? but why would you do that?”

“I thought if I gave him the drawing I made of you, he’ll say yes to marry you and become my daddy too”

Olivia pulled him into her arms, the thought of sharing him with someone else didn’t seem to sit well with her, and no matter who his father turned out to be she wouldn’t even let him come near her son!..

“Hush baby.. go to sleep okay?”

The next morning…

Olivia left her room to the dining table for breakfast, when she came in her smile broadened..

Kelvin was all dressed up for school, this was the huge benefit of having a friend who was just like a sister to you..

“Oh.. I see you your other mum dressed you up for school and she’s also serving you breakfast..” Olivia jested..

Bianca ran her fingers through Kelvin’s dark hair when she found some strands out of place..

“Mummy you’re sounding jealous.. I thought you’ve left for work that’s why I didn’t bother going up to your room”

Olivia touched her chest and cringed “Awwnn.. I don’t mind dear..”

A plate of toast was pushed to her, she raised her head up to see Bianca’s teasing smile..

“Come on eat up..”

“I love you” she mouthed followed by a loud laughter..

The doorbell suddenly rang, Olivia picked up a slice of the toast bread munching on it as she walked to the door..

She opened the door and was almost knocked down by Kiara who sprinted in..

“Kelvin!!!”

Jonah sent her an apologetic look with a smile “Hope you don’t mind Olivia.. she insisted on you dropping her off.. I’m off to work”

Olivia brushed it off “it’s absolutely fine”

He nodded and handed Kiara’s backpack to her..

“Have a nice day.. and oh have this” She said and at the same time pushed in the toast bread into his mouth..

She chuckled at his expression and waved him goodbye which he did also with a smile..

“Thanks for the toast I guess”

She closed the door behind her after he left in a hurry..

“Mummy, Kiara took a bite out of my toast”

Olivia rolled her eyes and walked back to the table..

“There’s love in sharing Kelvin.. she’s your friend isn’t she?”

Bianca left the dining table and at the same time Olivia followed her out to the living room..

“Bianca there’s something I was meaning to ask you..”

Bianca arched her brows with a nod “Okay? I can hear you”

“Kelvin said he met a man yesterday after he ran off, do you know who he is?”

Bianca’s face paled, she managed to force a smile at Olivia..

“Yeah, he’s a friend”

Olivia nodded in understanding and was about to leave when she heard Bianca’s next words..

“Is something wrong?”

Olivia turned back to Bianca with a narrowed gaze “Kelvin told me that he saw his dad, and I felt a little bit scared”

“Scared of what? a man showing up to claim Kelvin as his son?”

Olivia’s brows furrowed “even if that happened I won’t let anyone take him away from me!”

“Not even Damien Sterling?”

Olivia was just about to retort back when the door bell rang again..

“I’ll be back” she excused herself and walked to the door brushing her hair with her fingers..

She opened the door and was dumbfounded to see Damien standing on her porch..

“You?!”

“I have to speak with you urgently” Damien murmured cutting her off..

“Mummy, Kiara spilled her chocolate drink on my uniform” Kelvin’s voice rang out..

“I’ll be there in a second honey”

Damien’s brows creased on hearing a kid’s voice and was she just addressed as a mum?

Kelvin bolted to the door and forced his little frame to take a look at the person his mum was talking to..

“Daddy!! are you finally here to marry my mummy?” Kelvin’s giddy voice came through excitedly..
