Chapter 19 Taking His Life
The light in the basement waxed and waned, making it impossible to tell the looks of the people inside. Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
Justin sat lazily in his chair with his head on one side, gangly with his feet folded and teetering on an
old table, casually playing with the beer can in his hand.
His voice was calm but cold, "Who gave you permission to tell my family about my wife's inability to
have children?"
"Mr. Sutton! Please spare me! I'm begging you! I really didn't say that!" The dean was being set up
against the wall by two strong men, already tortured to the point where his hair was messy and dripping
sweat, his nose was bruised and swollen, and he was in an unusual state of distress.
The beer can in Justin's hand made a crunching sound, his body still leaning lazily on the back of the
chair, "I thought you were a dignified person, and I did not make it public, but now it seems you don’t
care."
The dean's eyes were so blue and swollen that he couldn't open them, "Mr. Sutton, really, I really didn't
tell anyone, it was definitely Miss Esther. She was the one who asked me to tell you that Miss Lucia
couldn't have children, in fact, I wasn't involved in that operation. She had a miscarriage, but I didn't
mind she could have children or not in the future. ...... It was Miss Esther forced me to do so by
threatening me!"
Only then did Justin raise his eyes to the dean who could no longer stand up straight, "Esther?"
"Yes!" The dean regretted. If he had he known that he was going to mess with Justin, he would rather
have his racy photos flying all over the place, and if this went on, he would definitely be disgraced as
well, who knows what would happen to him in the future.
Justin stood up, gulped down the beer, threw the can onto the ground and smashed it with a stomp, "I
planned to deal with it later, but you guys really have guts!"
He kicked off the can on the floor with his leather shoes, and the can hit the wall and made a sound
that scared Dean shivering, "Mr. Sutton! It's not my fault, I'm a victim too! I'm a victim too!"
"What a joke, isn't the biggest victim my wife?" Justin's voice was chill, though he was wearing a smile.
The dean's body shook uncontrollably and slid to the ground as he knelt to his knees, crying, he
begged for mercy to this man twenty years younger than him, "Mr. Sutton! I'm sorry! I beg you to
forgive me! I have family to support, please spare me!"
Justin paced back and forth, his breath was sullen and depressed, "A doctor should be benevolent, but
as a dean, you forgot your duty and led an unwarranted disaster to my wife, you are so unworthy of
that white coat." At this, Justin felt his heart broken, looking at the can that he had kicked away, he
murmured, “When I was in the United States, I was thinking that if she could not give birth to a baby,
we can have test-tube baby, or we could adopt a child, and we could hide it from the family. At that time
I did not understand how important she was to me, but she had been with me for so many years, so I
can’t divorce her because she could not carry a baby. I have the responsibility to take care of her till we
are old, as for children, I can see them when I die anyway."
He walked onto the stairs step by step, making echo inside the basement. The dean did not dare to
speak, and when he saw that Justin had almost reached the end of the steps, he was relieved, but he
heard Justin spoke in a lazy voice, "Since you don't deserve to be a doctor, I think you don't need your
hands, so that you won’t prescribe drugs indiscriminately, or a patient's life would be lost in your hand."
The dean was picked up by two strong men, thinking about Justin's words. "Ahhhh!" A scream, along
with the sound of bones cracking, the tendons of his hands were picked out. He could no longer pick up
a scalpel anymore. The dean fell to the ground and twitched, "Ahhh! Justin Sutton! You're killing
me?"
