Mr Grant, Please Be Gentle

Chapter 40 In Broad Daylight…

The woman had rushed all the way, as if she didn’t want to spend one second longer strolling around with him.

“It’s not a chore,” Blanca said, looking at him seriously. “It’s just really uncomfortable. Can’t you feel it? Ever since we stepped in the mall, there’s been people looking at you constantly. They’re even taking pictures of us.”

She didn’t like to be gawped at like some zoo exhibit.

“…really? I haven’t noticed.”

Matthew wasn’t aware at all. He’d probably experienced this sort of thing too much to pay attention. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.

Still, if she didn’t like to stand out, then they could go for more low-profile outfits next time.

Matthew took her to a familiar storefront straight away, got people to frame the work, and commanded, “Send it to my place after you’re done.”

“All right.”

Matthew had dealt with it directly, and Blanca looked at him, somewhat taken aback. “You were taking me around in circles deliberately?”

Matthew had brought her to the mall, and they’d walked around without finding a suitable place. Blanca had thought that there just wasn’t one, but now, seemed like Matthew was just taking her around the mall!

Still, she didn’t hate walking around…

“Just walking around with you.”

Matthew had never gone out with a girl and strolled around before, but when he saw Blanca’s excited expression, he’d felt it was fun, so he’d stayed and walked around with her for a while longer. As for artwork stores, of course he had some idea.

Blanca, though, grew dubious. Wasn’t he usually busy? Why’d he get the free time to stroll around with her?

“Don’t you men all hate walking around in malls?”

“How many men have you gone walking around with, then?” Matthew shot back, his face growing cool.

Blanca massaged her forehead. “Not that many…”

“Hm?”

“I mean, I read it from a book. Anyway, thanks for today.”

Blanca grumbled at how she always ended up so nervous with this guy. Right, she’d never gone out with a guy before.

Matthew narrowed his eyes. “If you want to thank me, don’t just say it. Do something.”

Blanca’s eyes widened, and she was wondering what the man meant. Matthew shook his head, exasperated, and bent down slightly, giving her a peck on the cheek.

Blanca blushed bright red. “Wh-what are you doing? People will stare…”

Not just that, really – aside from a few passersby who couldn’t help but look at the couple, there were tabloids following them and snapping pictures.

“What’s the issue? We’re out in the open as a good-looking pair. Let them stare.”

“…”

This guy looked so cold regularly, so what was with this way of words…

Still, the artworks of Alan had been framed, and Matthew needed to get back to work. He had his driver take Blanca home while he went to the company. But before he left, Matthew told Blanca what he wanted to eat for the afternoon…

What a tyrant!

He had so many servants and lackeys and he still ask her to deliver the food!

After Blanca went home, Mrs. Brown had already prepared a veritable feast.

She’d delayed on the way back, so she didn’t have the time to put on makeup or change her clothes. She directly took the lunchbox and headed for the Empire Group Building.

Blanca stepped in and walked to the CEO exclusive elevator like she owned the place. The people behind her saw her and were all like thunderstruck!

“Holy! You see her face?! Isn’t that the woman from the press conference?”

“Is she our chairman’s wife, then?”
