Mistake with the Alpha

Mistake With The Alpha Chapter 24

Samantha's POV

Today is the beginning of a new day for me. I've determined in my heart that yesterday is going to be the last day I'll feel inferior to anyone. Enough of them diminishing me. I slept at our house hoping that I would wake up very early to go to the pack house. I couldn't wait to start my new life but that didn't stop me from sleeping off. I woke up and rushed to the palace. Yesterday I had a lot of fun with my parents. We discussed a lot of things. I missed my bed even though it's not as soft as the one in the pack house. I rushed to my room to get dressed. My roomies were already out because I was so late. I know Sally was going to scold me for coming late if she noticed so I pray she didn't.

My new maid uniform was quite fitted and short. I wasn't going to hide my thick legs anymore. I'll be proud of my body. I'm even going to show them off and if anyone is not satisfied, they can go to hell for all I care. "Wow! Sam this is looking so good on you" Susan said with a wide look.

Susan and Velvet opened the door to see me dressed. I know for them to come check me, someone would have told them that I already came in.

"Is it?" I asked with a smile.

I was checking out myself in front of the standing mirror. My mother sure knows how to make someone look good even in rags.

"Yes, you are looking so hot," she said with an exaggerated look.

"Don't be silly," I said laughing.

"What changed your mind?" Velvet asked.

Velvet has always been the fashion pro amongst us. She doesn't mind that she's a maid, she'll always say she needs to look presentable. Most of the time she persuaded me to dress up but I was too shy to. "Just look at the shape," Susan said, touching my b**t.

I slapped her hand off and laughed. "I don't really know," I replied to Velvet.

"Welcome to the club," Velvet said, tapping my cheque.

I smiled as I walked to the kitchen. As I was moving so confidently to my destination, Ignored all the looks and whispered. I even deliberately greeted some. I was just so happy today that I even bought a new pair of heels to work with my short dress's elegance. Normally I don't wear heels. This book has many missing chapters and scenes if you're not reading it on Jo b nib.com. Not that I don't like heels, in fact I love them and the way it makes one feel but I always avoid being mocked. With the way I loved heels, I even bought three which I do wear and practice whenever I'm home.

"I don't know why you just bought those and wouldn't wear them out. They look so good on you baby girl" my mother would always tell me whenever she sees me putting on my heels around the house.

This time around I brought them with me. I even bought another but not too high so that I won't regret my actions. Today is a new era of me dumping my miserable life and picking up the zestful part of me that doesn't give a damn about what others say or think. I would have released my huge red hair and made it flow but I work in the kitchen, I'll have to put it inside the big cap.

I almost jammed the alpha if not for his voice that I heard. I had totally forgotten that I was supposed to go train this morning.

"You are so dead" Crystal mocked me.

"It's the same as you," I replied.

"I wasn't the one overexcited," she replied.

My over excitement has dumped me into trouble the first day of my new beginning. I quickly went to hide myself at a corner till he's gone.

"Don't worry with your killer dress and heels, he would temper justice with mercy. He'll just make you run in them" Crystal said, smiling.

"I don't like you," I said to her with a frown.

"Me too," she said laughing.

After I was sure the alpha was gone, I walked briskly to the kitchen. I couldn't go back to change into my training wear. It was already too late or worse I might meet the alpha on my way. As I was about to enter the kitchen, I heard my colleagues talking. "But do you really think the warriors were punished because they didn't help Sam?"

The moment I heard my name, I paused.

"The warriors were punished for my sake?" I asked myself.

I then decided to listen to their conversation.

"Yes. It's because of the way they treated her two days ago".

"Why would the alpha punish such important people as the warriors because of one unimportant maid? I'm sure there's other things attached. You know how our alpha's anger works" another said and it was evident that jealousy is there.

"No, the alpha started it because of the way they treated Sam. I was there when he was scolding them all" another argued.

"But I'm so sure it's not because of her. It's because of how they treated themselves. The alpha just cares about her like his own member" the jealous one said.

"Whether it's because of her or not, I know the warriors won't be happy with her because of the punishment if going to work on the pack farm".

"Of Course if you are the one will you be happy?"

"The alpha made his warriors go work on the farm?" I asked myself.

All this news was surprising. Where I was I didn't know whether to cry because the warriors have now turned my enemies or to smile because the alpha, even though he did act mean to me, defended me. I know I need to move carefully because of the new enemies I've made. Not only from the warriors but with those that love them.

I walked into the kitchen casually, as if I didn't hear a thing they said. Immediately I walked inside and there was a brief silence. I greeted them and passed but they didn't reply. They just burst into laughter and then began to giggle.

"Don't listen to them. They are all fools" Crystal said.

When I got determined to be a changed person, I was also determined to ignore all their mockery. I did my work like I never cared. I should have even brought my earpiece.

"This is all for the Gemma" a girl named Lola said in disdain.

"Isn't it too much for just one little gesture? She definitely over reacted, " Kate said.

"Maybe she thinks the Gemma would look on her side," Lola said.

"Not on her fat life" Bibi replied and the rest laughed.

Sally walked in when they were laughing so hard. They stopped and quickly did as if they were working.

"I didn't see a jester here, so do you care to tell me the reason for your disturbing laughter?" Sally asked with her firm harsh voice.

They all adjusted. Not that what they were whispering about isn't hurting my feelings but I decided to care less and stay calm as usual. Sally made sure to scold them all before moving closer to me. "Sally" I bowed.

I thought she was going to scold me for coming late but she smiled.

"I see you've decided to get out of your shell" she teased.

"I just thought it's high time I start living my youth" I said shyly with a stiff smile.

"That's how it should be girl" she patted my back.

"Thank you Sally" I bowed

"The alpha requested your presence" I noticed Sally said that out loud on purpose which I wondered why.

Then I remembered I skipped my training. My happy days are definitely over.

"I'm so dead," I said to Crystal.

"You've not even gotten to him and you've crucified yourself" Crystal said blankly.

"I don't need to get to him before I know I'm so dead".

"What's wrong?" Sally asked.

It was then I realised I suddenly blacked out.

"Can you please make up an excuse to the alpha that you couldn't find me?" I pleaded.

"And why should I do that?" She asked dryly.Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

"I'm in a deep mess. I skipped training this morning and I'm so sure he's going to scold me as hell" I whispered to Sally.
