Chapter 23
Chapter twenty three
Alexander and Mia drove to a film house to watch movies. It was clearly Mia’s idea since she didn’t let him watch at her house.
Alongside their movie tickets, they also bought two buckets of popcorn.
He clearly observed that she was absent minded as her gaze was fixed on the screen without batting her lashes. She was lost for minutes.
He tapped her gently on the shoulder and she jerked a little. “Huh?”
“You zoned out.” He told her and she suddenly laughed at, which turned out awkward. “I didn’t.” She denied and looked away from him.
She was greatly perturbed by Lian’s words the other day. She was well aware that her brother would never be so much against someone without a solid reason, and on the other hand, Alexander didn’t seem harmful or dangerous to her.
A bottle of COLA appeared in front of her. “You must be thirsty.” Alexander guessed aloud with a gentle smile g on his face. Mia was partly melted. *How can a pretty soul like this be harmful? Huh?* She thought as she unknowingly stared at him, with the light exuding from the huge screen making his face gleam.
“Is something on my face?” He asked staring back in confusion.
Mia answered him with a pretty smile and collected the still stretched out bottle of COLA.
“By the way, I have something to tell you.” He announced in a low, calm tone, with his eyes still fixed on her.
After gulping down the amount of COLA she got into her mouth, she turned to him, looking curious.
“What is it?” She inquired. Alexander let out a light smile. “Not now…”

All in the room were on their feet now. Seemed like there had been a fight for a while. There were slight bruises on Lisa’s body but Lian hadn’t acquired any. Shane and Marlin maintained boundaries and stayed off the fight after Lian told them not to meddle in.
Lisa was panting gently and Lian’s breaths could be hardly heard.
Lian furrowed his brows in brief surprise. “When did Giovanni start taking in foxes?”
“What?!” The two guys who watched from a short distance exclaimed in unison.
“Ugh… you found out stuffs quite fast.” Lisa mumbled as she secretly gathered strength to go against the alpha again. “He took us in ever since he realized our worth.” She finally released the answer he wanted to hear.
Lian grinned. “You’re worth nothing, he’s only using you.” The grin grew into a cold expression as he took her unawares.
He held her neck and pinned her to the wall. She gathered the now draining strength and blew him in the stomach, making him retreat on impulse.
She ran across the room in a flash over to where Marlin and Shane was, then grabbed Marlin. She wrapped her arm around his neck and took out her claws and threatened to dig them into his neck.
“Let me go back and he’s going to be okay. Otherwise, we’ll be going down together.” Her eyes were filled with violence and Lian didn’t fail to notice that she was losing strength. That’s why she had no option but to use someone as an hostage.
“I don’t care.” Lian muttered as he made slow, unnoticeable hesitant steps towards the duo.
“That’s s lie. You care for them more than yourself, there’s no way you’d let them die.”
Lian burst into an hysterical laugh. “They are nothing to me, I don’t give a damn if they die the next minute, so come off the topic.”
“Is that so? Then I get to eat liver today.” She fantasized and made a rapid attempt to shave her claws into his neck. Marlin kicked her off and Shane shot her in the arm with a silenced pistol, at the same second.
She fell to the floor and groaned in pain. Marlin kicked her on the ribs. “You’ve got crazy guts, you wanna eat a wolf’s liver? Funny.”
Lian bent to her level and , smirked. “You should have known more better than to come against me, Lisa. Return as a package to Giovanni.” He commanded.
“Please don’t kill me.” She pleaded under a fading breath. “I’ll never show up in your face again.”
“It’s too late. You should’ve decided that long ago when you were assigned the job.” He turned her down and closed his eyes briefly. The colour of his eyes had changed when he opened them.
They were blazing like fire now.
He stared into Lisa’s weak eyes and ordered in a low, calm tone. “Die.”
“You think you’ll win?” She struggled to mutter and a hysterical laugh came after. “Don’t let your guard down, alpha. Guess who the next targets are.” She struggled to voice out as she was struck by a white lightening. When the lightening stopped, she was no longer ther

“Lian, you do know the gravity of those words right? More people will get hurt. We need to guess wildly who the next targets are.” Marlin regarded in a worried tone.
“Yeah, and I’m getting a hunch that the next targets are the closest to you.” Shane added. “And probably distant people.” Marlin wittily mumbled.
Lian, who had been pacing around the room the whole time stopped and turned to them. “Call Mia and find out her whereabouts.” He ordered in an unorder-like tone. It was evident that he was madly worried about her and he had the feeling that she might be the next target. He could really lose it if anything happens to her.
Shane and Marlin frowned. “You’re her brother.”
“We are not on good terms so do it in my stead. And so we can’t tell who the next targets are for now, security at school needs to be over tightened. I’ll request some additional soldiers from the blue moon school pack. Notify those who stay outside the school pack and their guardians on the current situation. Also make it clear to them that the kids’ safety can’t be guaranteed.”
“Got it.” Shane uttered.
“How about bring them together in a place?” Marlin suggested out of the blue. Lian placed in his hands on his waist. “Elaborate.”
“Bringing all the students together would guarantee their safety, no one would be left out.”
“I agree.”
Lian sighed. “Agreed. But it’s left in the hands of the students’ families.”
“Don’t worry about that, I and Shane will talk them into it.” Marlin assured.
“Alright, I have to go now. See you later.” Lian picked up his jacket and attempted to leave the room.
“Rosie called.” Shane announced.
Lian gave the ‘what did she say?’ look. “She has been trying to reach you but couldn’t. She’s worried.”
“Tell her not to be, and also let her know I’m darn busy at the moment. I don’t need her services.”

“We are here.” Alexander announced. Mia looked outside the window and saw that they were really outside her home. She didn’t realize it before.
“Ugh, thanks for taking me out, it was fun.” She said and flashed a smile. Alexander returned with a smile too. “I’ll always be available whenever you call me, ma’am.”
She laughed. “You silly…” As she was about to get off the car, she suddenly turned to him. “You have something to tell me.” She reminded, with a cute frown.
He didn’t forget about it, he just pretended as if he did. “Oh yeah, can it wait?”
“No!” Mia snapped, stunning him a bit. He took a deep breath. “Let’s date.”All content is © N0velDrama.Org.
