Chapter 3: The Elevator
Chapter 3: The Elevator
The man had a cold face, but it was long, thin and handsome, and looked remarkable in his sharp suit.
It was nearly the same as the ascetic idol that she had encountered in college.
The elevator doors closed, and the man stepped into the lift with his long legs. Afterwards, she felt a sense of oppression.
She couldn’t help taking two steps back, wanting to stay away from the man, who might be dangerous.
The man suppressed a smile and had a glance at Lucy’s neck without any change on his face, but failed to see the hickeys hidden under her silk scarf.
Somehow, Lucy felt that the man had glanced at her unwittingly. When glancing back at him from the corner of her eyes, she could see the side of his face, handsome and perfect.
She might have felt guilty, because did not take a shower after her one-night stand last night, and looked down to sniff at her clothes. She was lucky, for there was nothing else except for the faint smell of perfume
She might have been overthinking it. It was impossible that such a handsome man had an interest in looking at her.
The red numbers on the screen changed slowly, and they arrived at the 7th floor.
Suddenly, the elevator shook violently. Lucy held the railing quickly, which prevented her from falling.
“What…What’s wrong?”
There were lights moving overhead, and then they suddenly went out.
Lucy felt like her throat was blocked, and she was not able to breathe.
A warm breath spread over her ears, and she realized that the man was very close to her.
Lucy felt her body stiffen slightly.
Luckily, all he did was just press the help button, without doing anything else.
She breathed a sigh of relief, and thought it would be unfortunate to meet someone who would rob and rape her in the elevator.
She was afraid of the dark, and felt claustrophobic. She knew she would feel very miserable before long. She leaned against the cold wall of the elevator, as it supported her weak body.
Elevator accidents were common in contemporary society, especially in the hospital. Undoubtedly, there would be maintenance workers coming soon.
She stretched out her hands to find her cellphone in her bag, and the light from her cellphone made her feel a lot more comfortable.
Those who met mishaps would find it out of hand.
She lost her virginity last night, and then today she experienced an elevator accident…
Lucy regretted coming to the hospital. If knew so many bad things would have happened to here, there was no doubt she would avoid coming there.
The elevator shook again. Lucy kept trembling, and then experienced weightlessness as the elevator dropped in a straight line, leading to her cellphone slipping out.
There was a loud thump and then the last light disappeared.
Lucy didn’t know where her cell phone fell. Even if she was clear where it was, she had no physical strength to find it. She noticed a light smell of cologne that was very pleasant. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
The man pressed the whole floors on the digital panel.
The elevator still didn’t work.
“Don’t be afraid.” Said a deep, raspy voice beside her ears, giving her a weird feeling of sensuality. The man seemed to lower his body intentionally and his breath hit her neck just right. The feelings she couldn’t express with words spread through her body. William George was aware of her changes in the dark, so he lowered his eyes and smiled.
William was surprised that the little woman was so sensitive when she was sane.
He recognized Lucy upon entering the elevator, and what they did last night was still very vivid to him.
But she seemed to have forgotten him entirely.
