Chapter 40: Epilogue Special
Hailynn
Amy and Zoey burst into the door, squealing their lungs out as they approached me.
“Oh my god! I can’t believe you have twin boys, Hailynn!” Amy exclaimed as she went straight to my baby which I held in my arms. The other twin was carried by Dante who stood just beside me.
I just had labor hours ago. It was Leo’s girlfriend, Veda, who helped me as I popped out the twins. Actually, she’s still not Leo’s girlfriend. I just say it cause it embarrasses Leo. Also, the beautiful doctor was letting me tease our handsome Leo.
I felt refreshed when I slept right after. As soon as I woke up, Dante let me hold the baby as he carried the other one lovingly. He was swaying it in his arms like a loving father would. I’ve never seen anything so perfect and so beautiful before.
The twins were identical and I was a bit surprised since I didn’t have knowledge on our side of our family of having twins. Since my soon to be husband has the strongest genes, I’m pretty sure it’s from their side of their family.
It was no doubt that the twins are Dante’s sons. They looked exactly like him. The only thing my sons got from me was my blonde hair, although theirs were only nearing blonde, and the other one had my blue eyes. The eldest twin got Dante’s surreal clear water eyes.
I fell in love twice on the same day.
“Look at them. They look so cute. So handsome.” Amy and Zoey gushed at the same time.
I suddenly noticed Amy winking at Dante. My eyebrows knitted in question. What was that about? I wasn’t able to ask what’s going on when I was interrupted by a knock. The intruder came in after knocking. It was Leo… followed by an older man.
And then I realized something. Everyone was dressed so formally.
“Ugh… what’s going on?” I asked while feeling suspicious.
Dante took a seat beside me and smiled meaningfully. “You’ll see.”
“May I know the couple who’s going to be wedded today?” The older man asked.
“What?!” I bellowed. “Dante!” I turned to him with wide eyes.
“This is my fiancee.” Dante said to him with a full blown smile.NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.
“Are you kidding me? This isn’t happening.” I said in disbelief but tears already formed in my eyes from so much excitement and happiness.
With a grin he replied. “I did promise your parents after the twins are born, I will marry you and they as well become witnesses as we exchange our vows.”
“This man came to me and asked a favor if I could come here and hold your wedding. When I heard his story, I simply couldn’t say no to him.” He was smiling as he explained to us. Everyone was grinning in front of me. “My name is Benjamin Wright, your pastor for today. I assume these people here are your witnesses and of course, the lovely newly born babies.”
I nodded, tears spilling my eyes. Dante kissed the side of my head and embraced me in his other arm.
“So let’s start, shall we?” The pastor stated.
The girls almost squealed from so much excitement. Leo stood beside Dante with a grin. We all couldn’t contain our happiness. Rather than a grand wedding, gorgeous dress and enormous feast, I’d rather have this moment.
Small but so meaningful that I could remember even until the next life.

Days later, I was able to go home… married and the happiest woman alive.
I used to only treat Ethan as my only family but now…. I feel like I have everything and I couldn’t ask for more.
“Isn’t that the room that you didn’t want me to see?”
At first, I wanted the twins to sleep in our room so I could keep an eye on them. And if they’ll cry, they’re right there where I could reach them easily. But instead of walking towards our bedroom, he led me to another and it was the room where he wanted me to stay out of. I thought it was something related to the mafia so I didn’t mind that I was forbidden there.
He grinned cheekily. “Amore, you’re in it for a surprise.” He twisted the doorknob with his other hand while the other was holding Adriano.
We named the twins as Angelo and Adriano. Angelo with the same eyes as his and Adriano, the one with blue eyes similar to mine. Angelo was older by minutes. Obviously, the names came from his full name. I wanted it like that since the two were like his minimes. Dante wanted the other one with the same blue eyes as mine to be named after me but I insisted that his was better. His Italian genes were so prominent but I wasn’t jealous that they inherited almost everything from his. In fact, I loved it. I fall in love with them day by day.
Dante then pushed the door open. My mouth fell open in awe, stunned at the beautiful room before me. It was as big as our room which is the master’s bedroom so it was already really big for the twins. The color of the walls were painted into a really pale baby blue. Everything was already in here. Closet filled with lots of clothes for them, cupboards filled with baby powder, diapers and a lot more baby things, a nursery rocking chair, you name it all. It has everything.
“It’s like you’re not trying to let me shop for the twins.” I joked with a grin.
“We can still buy for more, amore. If you want to, just tell me. I’m very excited to go outside and show the world our Adriano and Angelo.” There was light in his eyes when he said that and that’s when I noticed it.
Dante truly has changed. And if I recall everything from the first time we met, I hated him because he was not a gentleman at all. He only thought about getting me into his bed. Although he may still think the same way but this time, it was different because he loves me and I love him as well.
“Wait.” I frowned. I didn’t notice it at first because I was too busy admiring the room but finally the inert clear water eyes were staring right at me.
“Why is my painting of you here, Dante?!”

Three years later.
The twins recently just turned two. I was shocked that they were the spitting image of me. I thought our friends were just joking about it. Even Hailynn was teasing me about it.
The golden locks they once had become darker as the time goes by. While Angelo was the older one of the twins and had my eyes, Adriano on the other hand had his mother’s eyes. So I had been favoring Adriano while Hailynn was favoring Angelo because it reminded us of each other. Even though it wasn’t obvious to the two, it was pretty clear to me and Hailynn.
After having the twins, I was scared to ask for another child from her. I was there when Hailynn was in labor. I felt guilty about it since it was my fault. I almost regretted that I didn’t court her properly and made her pregnant right away instead.
It was not my plan really. All I wanted was to taste her. I was attracted to her the moment I saw her face clearly when she fainted in my arms as I covered a handkerchief with chloroform against her nose.
Originally, I would’ve forced myself on her. I was true to my words when I wanted her to be my whore. I had a background check on her and found out that she had no relatives. She was alone. It was just perfect. The woman was indeed going to be mine with no one desperate enough to search for her. And then Avery came and ruined my plans.
She knew the woman to the point of warning me not to harm her. All I got from trapping her in my penthouse were sexual frustrations and a countless boner that could not be satiated. I was simple picky with women especially when I experienced firsthand back in my younger years that a woman I slept with actually came to murder me.
Cara, who was suspicious of her first, was alert and killed the woman herself, saving me. My sorella had always been ruthless and merciless therefore she had no second thoughts of shooting her directly in between her eyes.
Hailynn Fleury was perfect for me. But I didn’t know then that she would be the one to fully own my heart and now three years have come by, we’re happily married. She made me complete. And even though I wanted more children from her, I do not want to let her go through that pain ever again. I realized then women are stronger than men if they can handle that. Especially that Hailynn bore two human beings. I’ve never been so scared my whole life.
I was watching over my sons with an unending smile on my face as they played with their toys that were gifts from their aunts and uncles a few weeks ago on their birthday. Everyone loved the two very much. They were the apple of their eyes. I never thought in a million years that Leo would love kids so much. He was obviously attached to my sons. He was spoiling them too much. Hailynn had to scold him many times for that.
I was suddenly pulled out of my reverie when my phone rang. It was an unknown caller ID but I answered it anyway knowing it might be something important.
“Ciao, fratello.”
I sat up straight at the familiar voice that I haven’t heard for three long years.
“Cara…”
“Missed me, fratello?” I breathed for an answer. “You do not have to answer that. We all know you are preoccupied with your family.” She spoke lightly with no malice. I could feel her happiness for me miles away.
“You got that right, sorella.” A smile broke my face. Even though she stopped me from answering, I did miss my sister so much.
“However… I did not call you to ask what I already know.”
I have a bad feeling about this.
“Sol… it seems that you stole something from me.”
End.
