Chapter-27 - Sirens!
"Cool! A healer in the town. We have very few here!" Cia chimed in. Ashina nodded.
"So what have you been practising recently, Allison? Seeing you, I can tell you are just a teenager. Do you study?" Felicia asked. Allison nodded slowly.
"I was in the last year of my course in my pack and looking forward to doing an integrated healing diploma but..." she trailed off not spitting the cruel truth about the Dark walker's king when his subjects were around her. Felicia exchanged looks with her friend Ashina and nodded.
"Well, that's great. You can carry your course here in our academy." She proposed but Allison blinked up, not really considering this.
"Freshers and experienced ones, all are welcomed to explore their powers in the academy. You can practice as per your field as there are many coaches to teach you. We all go there. It will be fun to have you too." She suggested. 'Would it be fine to showcase my powers to them?'
"I... I will think about this." Allison said unsurely.
"Cool! We are having a new girl in our academy!" Orenzo whistled in spite of him being roasted by his friends before.
Eventually Allison started getting comfortable with them and got to know them. Felicia was Ashina's best friend and their group includes three boys and two girls. Well now, three girls including her.
"Ali, let's dance." Callum, one of them, asked her, offering his hand but Ashina interrupted him and grabbed his hand.
"She is not available to dance. Let's get you to the floor." Allison looked at them in confusion. Well, though she didn't feel like dancing but why did Ashina refuse him on her behalf like she was preventing him from touching her? "That boy is quite vulgar with movements." Felicia giggled before handing Allison the glass of red wine.
She glanced at them as they started dancing on the electronic music beats.
"Dark walkers are not as dire as you think." Suddenly Felicia spoke, earning an uncontrollable scowl from Allison.
'Really? After killing my family, surely they are not!'
"You would say because you are one of them!" Allison commented and was careless about her reaction. She didn't care if she was offended.
"No, I am not. We really are not like puppet players as you think. We have our own society, our community to run. We believe in equality, strength and empowerment. We are good in our region as long as the enemy doesn't strike. Though we are provided protection by the Dark walkers for which we are grateful but it doesn't mean we are required to acknowledge everything blindly the King proclaims."
Now Allison was intrigued by her honest words and the education she gave her.

"You will get to learn so many things here, Allison. You just have to adapt to them and examine them with an open mind. Visibility is not always the proof of your assumption and validation. Use your rationality and powers." She continued and Allison was a little conscious of her thoughts.
"Honestly, I want to go home but I can't." Allison muttered but she knew it's impossible now. As If Alpha Ralph would welcome her openly. He would kill her with his bare hands the second she stepped into his pack. She had nothing left there. No family, no house. Except for her friend Nora. And her Lost brother.
Felicia nodded her head, understanding her turmoil. Allison wondered if Ashina shared the things with her friend about her pack and her.
"And God takes you where you are needed to fulfil the purpose of your life. Take it as a clue, Ali. You don't know what life has stored for you. Embrace it." She said softly and somehow her words comforted her a little.NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.
Allison nodded. Though she didn't like to live in the place where the killer of my family resides, but she had a purpose to stay until she found her brother. She still had hope.
"Ali, can I ask who your parents are?" Felicia asked her out of the blue. Allison blinked up at her as her heart sank remembering their beautiful faces. Despair filled inside her entire being realising their permanent absence from her life. "Hey, are you okay?" Allison heard Felicia's soft voice as she squeezed her hand, feeling her despair. Allison nodded, chuckling lightly in grief.
"They were a radiant couple but left me alone in this harsh world." she smiled sadly,
"Probably to reunite as their love was too strong which sealed them into eternity." she sighed before taking the sip of bittersweet liquid.

"I Am sorry for your loss." Felicia seemed apologetic. "I didn't mean to hurt your feelings but can you tell me something? Was your mother a werewolf or another supernatural?"
Allison looked into her eyes and understood this Fae was not an ordinary one. Why would she ask her about her mother? Should she disclose it to her?
Allison opened her mouth to ask why she was interested in knowing this when Suddenly the music beat, the hubbub of the crowd and crazy movements on the dancefloor slowed down to pin drop silence as they heard the deep, sweet and long melody with a whistling sound, silencing the whole gallery. It was so intense that Allison's ears started drumming painfully and the glass in her hand exploded itself and broke into tiny pieces making her startled.
Allison panicked looking around when exactly after the three-second silence before the hell broke, the sounds of rattling of the glass materials, windows and even the fluttering of the colourful lights above the ceilings absorbed by the powerful melodies. It was like a full fledged earthquake met its outcomes.
"What...whats going on?"
She could hear People screaming and hollering around her but their voices were fading as her ears rang loudly. Felicia beside her winced and bristled in alarm. "Shit! The Sirens!"
And Allison's heart dropped straight through her stomach into her feet when her eyes darted towards the entrance.
