MOODY QUEEN
"What the hell did you answer!" he asked coldly burning with fury.
"I...I... wrote what I think the answer is." she replied with her lips trembling.
"Are you sure?" he asked, walking closer, he called her over to him with his finger. She rose from her seat and stepped out, walking over to him, but he started walking closer to her instead, making her walk backward.
"Are you sure you are not lying to me?" He inquired, instilling fear in her as he continued moving closer to her until her back was against the wall. She blinked her eyes, closing them in fear as he stood closer to her, breathing on her face with anger in his eyes.
"I am not lying." She muttered, peeping at him, and looked away. He grabbed her chin with his hand, making her open her eyes to look at him.
"From the way you look... to the way your eyes are and the way your hair is, it makes me think you are not a normal human." He said gruffly, maintaining eye contact with her, and her breath caught in her throat.
"I...I have no reason to lie to you." She protested. He quickly let go of her and walked back to his desk, showing her his back. She breathed heavily, ran out of the office before he could utter another word, and entered the bathroom. Resting her hand against the stall as she looked at herself in the mirror in front of her breathing continuously.
"Gosh, how am I going to kill someone like him? He already suspects me; I really need to stay away from him now." She thought to herself as she examined her face in the mirror and wondered why her skin was so smooth and fine, although she had lived in hell all her life, and why her eyes weren't like those of humans.
"Maybe I shouldn't have taken this mission in the first place. Humans are ruthless. My love for the earth has gotten me into a big mess." She said under her breath trying to take off her earrings.
"Don't even think of removing it. I know you are in pain because he tried to hurt you. That's how humans are," he stated.
"I can't even take it off; it's like it will be stuck in my ear for a long, long time. I don't want to get caught." She whined.
"Don't worry, leave it all to me. I will start giving you advice on how to kill that human tomorrow." He assured her, making her smile. "Okay, I hope it works." She said heaved a sigh walking out of the bathroom. She slowly entered the office, stole a glance at Ralph, and walked back to her desk.
She took a file an employee had brought for her to review and swallowed her saliva before opening the file. She finished reviewing the file after an hour and strolled to Ralph's desk; his eyes were buried in a file, and he was wearing glasses. She placed the file on his desk without uttering a word and attempted to leave when he got up from his desk and held her hand. She stared at him with wide eyes.
"I am sorry, Lucinda," he apologized, making her wonder why he was apologizing now when he can think whatever he wants.
"Hmm," she mumbled as she yanked her hand free from his grasp and returned to her desk.

It was late at night, and everyone was already home from work, preparing to return to work. Ralph was arranging his desk when he paused and stared at Lucinda, who was organizing her things. He sighed and continued arranging his things. As soon as he finished, he grabbed his suit jacket that was hanging on his chair and put it on.
Lucinda carried her bag from her desk without making eye contact or trying to look at him. She started walking to the door and looked at him, forcing a smile.
"Wait," he said as he approached her, and she bowed slightly. "I will be going now, bye!" she ran out of the office before he could say anything.
"No, don't go, I..." Ralph muttered, and he hit his fist hard against the wall in anger.
Lucinda was walking out of the office with a crowd of employees when she spotted Barbie talking to other colleagues. She waved goodbye and hired a taxi home.
The moment she got to their door; she heard people laughing from inside the house. She opened the door to see who it was when her eyes landed on Medusa and a guy; he was sitting on the couch while Medusa was sitting on his lap, laughing at what they saw on TV.Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
She sighed and fully entered the house. "Hudson, this is the sister I have been telling you about." Medusa introduced Lucinda the moment they laid eyes on her. Hudson was not as handsome as Ralph, but his face was pleasant to look at. He was rocking a hockey cut.
"Hello Lucinda, I have heard a lot about you, and I must say you are quite a beauty," he said, making Lucinda blush, but she wiped the expression almost immediately and grasped Medusa's wrist, dragging her out of the living room and tossing her to the bedroom, standing by the door with her hands folded across her chest.
"What are you thinking, bringing a human home?!?" Lucinda snapped.
"Chill, keep your voice down; he is the guy I was telling you about. Isn't he handsome?" Medusa asked in a low tone.
"I don't care if he is handsome or not; I don't want this to repeat itself again. He has got to go." Lucinda muttered, tapping her right foot on the floor.
"What's the big deal about bringing a human home? Did someone make you angry?" Medusa inquired, trying to touch her face, but Lucinda smacked her hand away.
