DANGEROUS HUMAN
"Why don't you just listen to me for once, my queen? I wish you were still young; then you would listen to my every word." Medusa grumbled and also turned invisible, flying after Lucinda, who was already standing at the other end of the rooftop, looking down at the people that were walking in the streets.
"Let's go, my queeeen." Medusa said, dragging the word "Queen." She rolled her eyes and grasped Lucinda's right hand as she caught up to her; they both flew toward the cloud at great speed.
They both arrived in front of the mall; they were standing on the rooftop as they watched people going in and out of the mall.
"So how are we going to appear there without humans panicking?" Medusa asked. Lucinda's face flushed; she pursed her lips and answered. "You thought I didn't have a backup plan, did you?" she questioned. "It's easy; we just have to go into one of the elevators and turn back to our normal form there." Lucinda explained confidently feeling like a God.
"You are too smart; I raised you well." Medusa remarked. They both went into the walls of the mall and landed on the ground of the first floor, where they gazed at an elevator. They rushed over to it and looked around before pressing the open button. They both stepped into the elevator. Medusa pressed the button repeatedly to ensure that no human would walked in after them.
They both stood in the elevator, catching their breaths, and turned back to normal. Medusa wiped off a sweat that had formed on her forehead. "Phew! That was too risky." She exclaimed.
"What do you mean? That was fun; we should try it some other time. You don't know how to have fun because we are in a human world, but that doesn't mean we have to act like them all the time. We are special." Lucinda said, smiling from ear to ear. Medusa's legs shook as Lucinda said that.
"It will be too risky; don't you remember what the demon said? That human can identify a demon just by looking at one, that means it won't be easy to get rid of him." Medusa muttered. Lucinda gulped.
"D-do you think the human has supernatural powers? If so, how did he get them?" Lucinda asked, rubbing her head.
"How would I know?" She replied, rolling her eyes.
"Don't let your eyes fall off." Lucinda said and chuckled.
They both arrived at the clothing area, they both took different carts, and they parted ways, going to different shops. Lucinda started choosing a lot of clothes like she was in a competition with Medusa; it was as if Medusa was seeing her. She was also speed shopping; they both bought a lot of expensive bags, jewelry, and shoes. After shopping, they met each other in the front desk next to the receptionist, who was counting the clothes. They paid for the clothes, and a bouncer helped them stop a taxi and place their things on the truck. They sauntered over to the taxi and got in; Medusa tipped the bouncer before the taxi driver took off driving away.
"So, what now?" Lucinda asked.
"After we drop these shopping bags at home, we will go look for that human." Medusa replied.
"Yay!!!" Lucinda squealed happily like a baby.Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
"It's nothing to be happy about; this mission is dangerous; either he recognizes us in seconds and kills us or we escape." Medusa said, looking down. "But either way, we are going to see how he looks, try to exploit his weakness, and kill him." Medusa said with a serious face.
"Hey! You are talking about this human as if he is more powerful than me, the queen of the underworld." Lucinda stated placing her hand on her chest. The driver stared at her in the front mirror and laughed silently at her gesture. Medusa turned to look at Lucinda, who was grabbing her shoulder and staring immensely at her.
"You can't talk about him in that tone; why don't you understand that a lot of demons have died in his arms. What makes you think you can stand a chance against him?" Medusa asked with her brow furrowed. Lucinda could see the fear in Medusa's eyes, as if she were the one on the mission to fight the human. "I see where you are coming from; I know you are scared, but... I am a special being." Lucinda said slowly. Medusa groaned in anger and let go of Lucinda's shoulder, looking out the window with her hand on her face.
After a few minutes, they arrived at home, standing outside the door as some security men helped them carry their shopping bags into the house. They finished arranging all the shopping bags and walked out of the house, greeting Medusa and Lucinda.
"Thank you very much, guys." Medusa beamed at them, smiling.
"Since all this is done, I think it's about time you see that human. I haven't seen him myself, but what I have heard about him is making me scared... I think I should give you a chance and stop worrying..." Medusa said as she was locking the door to the apartment. Lucinda staggered backward, clutching her head, as she felt a sharp pain in her head.
"Arrghh!" She grunted in pain, with her eyebrows lowered and pulled together. Medusa let go of the padlock and turned to look at her.
"W-What's wrong?" Medusa asked, concerned trying to prevent Lucinda from falling because her legs were wobbling. Lucinda regained her balance and gave Medusa a wait signal with her right hand.
"My darling wife, this human is very dangerous. He identifies demons within seconds." Lucifer said, in a deep voice inside Lucinda's head, his voice sent shivers down her spine.
"So, what do you want me to do, husband?" she asked, gritting her teeth.
"I made you feel that pain just now because it's just a glimpse of what that human can do to you...you couldn't suppress it, could you?" he said not expecting an answer and continued. "Come back to hell; I have something to give you that won't make him know that you are a demon just by looking at you; it's going to protect you." He stated. Medusa was still trying to know why Lucinda was acting that way.
