Chapter 1709
Chapter 1709
Vicky furrowed her brow. “Send me the client’s contact information, and I’ll try reaching out,” she said to Jennifer.
Jennifer promptly sent over the client’s contact details.
Vicky made a call, introduced herself, and explained the purpose of her call.
“Missus Ridge, would you and Mister Ridge be willing to meet with me?” Vicky inquired.
Upon hearing that Vicky was the owner of a design studio, Missus Ridge was more accommodating and did not refuse a meeting as decisively as before.
“Sure. I happen to have some free time this evening. If we need to discuss something, let’s meet at the Royal Club,” she suggested.
Royal Club was a well-known members-only entertainment venue in Stoneford City. Vicky had been there a few times and had a membership card, so she agreed to the proposal.
After ending the call, Vicky dialed Jennifer’s number again to explain the situation.
Jennifer listened and said, “Vicky, since Willow reports to me, I’ll go with you.”
“Okay.”
After setting a meeting time, they hung up.
Vicky changed into a different outfit in the dressing room and grabbed a bag before heading downstairs. Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.
On her way, she bumped into Tyler, who just came upstairs.
Upon seeing Vicky’s attire, Tyler raised an eyebrow. “Are you going out?”
“Yeah. I need to handle some work-related matters.”
Tyler glanced at the time and frowned. “You’re going out at this time?”
“It’s urgent,” Vicky replied calmly. “I need to go right away.”
Though their relationship was not particularly close recently, it had at least improved from their previous confrontations.
Tyler remained silent for a few seconds. “I’ll accompany you.”
“It’s fine. Jade will accompany me.”
“Jade already finished her work,” Tyler said, observing her. “Waiting for her to return will take quite some time. Don’t you have an urgent matter to attend to?”
Every time she refused to let him accompany her, he would find peculiar reasons to persuade her.
Vicky was indeed pressed for time this time, so she did not argue further.
…
The car stopped in front of Royal Club.
Tyler looked at the entertainment venue in front of him and frowned. “Why are you here at this hour?” he asked.
“To meet a client.”
As soon as Tyler heard the word ‘client’, his expression darkened.
“No decent client would invite you to such a place at this time,” he commented.
Vicky could not be bothered with him and opened the car door to exit.
Jennifer had been waiting at the entrance and greeted as she saw Vicky approach. “Vicky.”
When she noticed Tyler stepping out of the car as well, Jennifer seemed slightly taken aback.
Frankly, the incidents at the wedding left her with a low opinion of Tyler. However, her good manners and gentle nature prevented her from ignoring him or engaging in confrontations as Aurora did.
“Mister Hart,” she greeted him with a cold tone.
Tyler remained silent as he was always quite indifferent to anyone other than Vicky.
